Hello ! ...and...welcome back ! ;-) Really interesting finds / WW2 relics ! 8:12 : maybe...from a 11x58R austrian werndl model 1877 - the M1867 Werndl-Holub rifle Interesting the place where you found it...in fact the place/time frame...(WW2)...who knows...maybe a Volkssturm 'soldier' used that old rifle... OR... it's a sign of some hunting 'activity'... ! Anyway...some more cleaning will be useful I think ! I found few ammo stripper clips 'made in Germany' but...all of them rusted... ;-( (made from iron/steel) but a lot of czech ammo stripper clips - Zbrojovka Brno, few of them with the "Z" stamp, all of them made from brass (from the ZB vz 24 rifle...)... In this exploration you were..."under the pressure of time" BUT...next time... That place/area looks very 'promising' ! Good luck !
Hi, Nick! I'm so glad you haven't melted into a puddle!!! Love your finds, and I completely understand about it being too hot to detect much. I appreciate what you did find! Gotta love those shell casings, whoever they belonged to, and you found a stripper clip full of German ones! And a bayonet!!! Please try not to get too hot in these crazy weather days! We in the southern US have been around 100--105 degrees farenheit each day, so we absolutely depend on air conditioning! Take care! Cindy
bro im such a fan i love ww2 history, dude thanks for all u post i love your videos i allways wait hours for your videos and look at your old videos to not get anoyed
Hi Nick. I think it very likely the bell you found was used to tie to a barbed wire fence, so if the fence was disturbed by someone trying to get through it, the bell would set off an audible alarm. That is a very rare find!

I am thinking of starting my own collection And may start to metal detect. Do you have any tips? I liked Ww2 before but after finding your channel I know a lot more now, thanks. I love what you do, keep it up.
That's awesome!! First, learn a lot before buying, maybe get on a forum for questions etc! Buy your items at known militaria shops with lifetime guarantee of authenticity so you won't lose your money for fake stuff! It's a great hobby, just save your money, don't smoke, don't drink, and you will have a great collection! Good Luck!!
Ryan Bain Adding to what he said, the warrelics.eu forum helped me a lot personally. Saves me from getting burned on a polizei Stahlhelm. If you metal detect, as long as you don’t come across any explosives you should be fine. If you do, either just leave it or call local authorities (I recommend the latter). Stay away from eBay unless you know what you’re looking at, and focus on one part of collection. Don’t think you can simultaneously make a collection of WWII German items and WWI American items. Focus on one of them, and if you wanna be more specific, focus on a specific branch that you find interesting. If I followed this advice when I started when I was 11, I’d have a lot more! Oh, and one last thing: quality over quantity. Hope you enjoy the hobby, and enjoy it as much as I do!
Hey Nick, my Friend 🤗 Nice little hunt and nice Findings too. 🤗 👍🏻 Thanks for sharing Impressions. 🤗 Wish you always the best and always nice Findings again, Ingo 🤗
That small bell is a crotal bell. Possibly middle ages or before. Nice that you have access to the Siegfried Line to metal detect. The dragon's teeth were interesting. The scale of what was built during WWII was amazing. That's why there is so much left 75 years later.
Thanks for the info, interesting! Yes, it's always special visit the dragon's teeth, they try to cover them up on a lot of places.. but i'm happy we can still see them! Thank you for watching!
Nick your videos are awesome 👏. I’m really enjoying every one I watch. I have to say I do have a laugh watching them, because you’re so funny.Every time I say to myself, poor Nick he’s hurt himself again. So TakeCare and KeepSafe.🥰😀😷🦋🏴
My dad was an American soldier who was wounded very near Dillingen, Germany. He was treated in a German bunker that was help by the American at the time. I would be interested in hearing from anyone familiar with WWII structures in the area.
Truly amazing! I’d give anything to dig with you for a day. Not many WW2 artifacts beneath the ground here in the US. Lol . Anyways, nice digs .. keep them coming!
I collect stuff from the early 1900s to now and my grandpa was in the marines and collects military stuff too! He also lives along the border of Texas and Mexico so battles like the Mexican American war and the battles against pancho villa were fought there. Anyways keep up the great work hope you find even better finds!
With th us .30 cal or 30-06, 30 stands for 0.30 inches in diameter of the bullet and 06 stands for the year of military caliber adoption which is 1906. Glad to share info with you.😀😀😀

12:39 I had to consult my Cartridges Of The World book on that one. I believe that is either a 11.15x60R Mauser or a 11x59 Gras cartridge. Hard to tell because the two look so similar but the case length and neck diameter I think would narrow it down. Could also possibly be a 11.15x58R Austrian Werndl M77. Measuring the case length I think might tell us which one it is.
Sweet stuff. New PC game called 'Hell Let Loose'. They have been trying real hard to remake these battlefields. They have a map in hurtgen. You can fight in the Siegfried line. Its neat. Dig it.
Not alot of finds but some very nice ones. :) Congrats on nearly hitting 60k subscribers already! The big shell casing you have found could be 11x60R Mauser, looks like it. If you have problems Identifying its headstamps ill be glad to help :D Greetings.
the 8mm rounds were shot from a K or G 43. My dad had one he brought home. They case hits the piston rod before it's completely retracted and dents the case like that.
It's my lucky day! I was detecting a rather boring field when I found a horseshoe, then a few minutes later I found a chauchat machine gun! I'm cleaning it up at the moment, looks like it was used in the defence of France in 1939, actually made in 1917, interestingly there was a shell jammed in the breach, probably why they threw it away!

That horseshoe was once attached to a horse, possibly one of the SIX MILLION horses that were killed during WW2.
Horses deserve greater recognition.
