And the rest of the scene is..as I told you in another video from this episode: the relation of Jane and Charlotte it's so real and normal..that all gestures..dialogues... attitudes between them are from this world. They are talking as in their home. I can't explain me..sorry. But later..when Lisbon asks Jane :"is Charlotte still with you?" is because she also believes..as I do..that they were together in real life. The last part it's heartbreaking. But I am sure that Jane and Charlotte will be forever in communication. Love is the greatest Force on Earth. That's what I believe. ❤🌷

... The victim was a Jeweler specialized in diamond. Of course he would have a work shop. As for "where it was", the location he saw while he hallucinated and the real one is not the same. Where can you find a Jewelry workshop that is expensive enough to have a 20 million dollars diamond ? In a middle of a big city, on a street with a lot of store for both : convienience in customer flow + security. And figuring that out quickly is Jane's job. As for the gesture and attitudes, it's because like the hallucination insinuated : Jane never let go of them. He was still fantasizing consciously AND subconsciously about his wife and daughter : How they smell like, how they talked like. What age his daughter would have today and thus how she would behave like etc... If Lisbon politely asked if Charlotte was still with him is rather simple : She doesn't care if it's an hallucination or not, what matters was how that would impact Patrick. In the end, and sorry to have to pin point that, but the Mentalist isn't about Love being the greatest force on Earth. (I mean, you can believe that in real life if you want to. But fair warning, the Show is specifically telling you the exact opposite as it's main subject.) As Love, didn't prevented a Serial Killer to do.... unspeakable things to his wife and daughter all the while he was preaching exactly what you said, that Love was the greatest force on earth in a conference/Con-show. Last but not least, i don't want you to take my comment the wrong way as i'm not judging you or anything regarding your personal beliefs. But just to pin-point to you that the Mentalist was a show that told you a story that can basically be summarized like this : Love is strong but you have to protect it with all your might. Basically what Kayd said. As a mentalist Jane is used to making the logical conclusions most miss. If you are human, even if we can’t see it, you have parents. If you work, you should have a place, even your home or the streets. But there is a location. If you job is related to diamonds, then gems and Jane imagined many things. About Charlotte, it is just predictive behavior. Mentalists do it all the time. Insight is one of their greatest skill, getting to know a person in an instant, what they like or what they would do. So, Jane should be quite capable of predicting what his daughter would be based on what he knew of her, of himself, and about the world she would have grown in. Still I understand the question, I thought it was a plot hole for a while, but when I rewatched it, i noticed that it is not so hard to imagine things even without the “tea”
at #4:10 that “wait...” is what always makes me cry.
Moral:
