I've actually never been to San Diego Comic Con or any Comic Con in general so I went for the first time to Galaxy Con in San Jose California this past weekend. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so I thought I'd check it out since it was only 30 minutes away from where I live and it was great. Have to bring more money next time though or I'll end up broke with impulse Merch buying habbit lol
I'm 45, i've lived in the san diego area since i was 9, and this was my first Comic Con also! Honestly, i'm not into most of the stuff there, so i always thought it would be too much nerdy overload. My older-than-me best friend goes with his grown son every year but this year his son couldn't make it so he asked if I wanted to take his place. I was like, sure what the heck. Glad I did! Even though that world isn't really my thing, I'm still a creative and a maker and interested in all kinds of things and I was really blown away by everything there. My schedule only allowed me to be there on Saturday from 4pm-10pm so i didn't really get to experience everything but still very very impressed with it all. Great job with the video, you really captured those cosplayers well. 👌🏻
I grew up in Chula Vista and I’ve gone ever since I was a teenager. Not every single year of course. I am 52. I only tried dressing up for the first time last year lol. This is our Mardi Gras. It’s a lot of fun to see the artwork of the costumes. I like to guess some of the more difficult obscure costumes. Hope you go again, buddy!
Wow! Looked like an amazing year for San Diego Comic-Con! Looking forward to when some of these exhibits and other things are at New York’s Comic Con in October! I know that not everything will be there, but there will be enough to make this year’s one of the best!

Sorry not to be a downer but this year's San Diego CC looks bland and the cosplays medicore at best. Seen way better years with better cosplays and content, venues, etc. I'm not impressed especially this being san diego CC. Goes to show how bad the economy is right now sadly.
