Brother!!! Seeing that broken rocker gave me ptsd 😮. You’re most likely right about the pushrods touching the head… car sounds freaking awesome! Did some nice launches there 🤟

Hey jd you've really brought that car around all the hard work you put into this i hate seeing you have any problems , hope you get it all sorted out, you deserve the best, good video thanks for sharing with us 👍
Wow...that's crazy with the rockers...I never thought the pushrod could ever get that close to the head. Hope you don't have any more trouble. Good luck at the track!!👍
Thank you!!! Yep I’m not sure if its just the set I got happen to be a bad set that slipped by Quality control or what the deal is. I just made it back from TNT and it was a good one! Hopefully I’ll have a video up in a few days. Thanks for watching!!! 🙏
You need longer pushrods to keep them from hitting the head or locators. The pushrods are disconnecting from the rocker arms and then snapping back into palace breaking the rocker or the pushrod! I do like scorpions too. Had them on my 69 496 SS Chevelle. They got sold with the car. Had them for at least a decade on the SS with no trouble at all running to 7000 rpm shifts.
I thought I needed longer push rods also but when I check the ware pattern on the valve stem it seems perfect and centered. I might have to revisit the geometry and try some longer ones. The scorpions are awesome! Thanks for watching! 🙏
Hey man, I just discovered the channel. Keep up the good work. My son and I are building 2 seriously low budget cars and Proform rockers are what I was looking at for my car. I'm having second thoughts now. I guess I'll see what the budget looks like when I put the engine together. I've watched a couple older videos but didn't see the exact engine combo you're running in this car.
Thanks man!!! I’ve been watching you and your son busting knuckles on his car!!! That fuel pump issue you had was wild!!! Yea I’m not to happy with the Proforms so far. This car has Edelbrock RPM heads, Weiand 7515 intake, E303 cam, 1-5/8 long tube headers, stock AOD trans with 3000 stall and 4.10s
Dam brotha, that rocker n pushrod is a darn shame.. You mess with or upgrade the 4 link yet? Looks like your gettin a bit of squat on launch.. The fox has a great rear setup, just needs tuning and slight modification.. Great video, keep em coming! Look fwd to seeing your journey👊✌️
Thanks brother!!! Yea not sure what the rocker issue really is. The suspension is 100% stock. I did put a football in the spring before TNT Friday night. I just uploaded the video Saturday. Thanks for watching 🙏

Got a set of sbc Proform rocker arms around late 80s early 90s. Hope they improved since! The diameter of the hole for the bearings was way too small for one...larger is better spreads the load out. @@jdrods1519some times stock or 4cyl suspension works best, u need a converter to launch harder
Or a Manual Trans 😂
Id get a new set of rockers, with those pushrods so close to the heads id be worried about binding, scraping and sending metal through your engine

What spring force are you using?
The springs that come on the Edelbrock heads are around 230 @.575 I believe and the Proform rockers are good to 220. My cam is .498/.498 lift
What size rear wheel and tire are u running?
26x10 and the rear has 4.10s
What is the exhaust
It’s got 1-5/8 jegs long tubes with 2-1/2 all the way back with Cheap eBay resonators
