I've got a QFT 750 I'm about to rebuild. I'll test it on my son's car. I suspect his car needs more than a 600. I also need to install an AFR in his car, but they all seem to be unreliable.

Got a set of sbc Proform rocker arms around late 80s early 90s. Hope they improved since! The diameter of the hole for the bearings was way too small for one...larger is better spreads the load out. Less than 200 miles they came apart spilling needle bearings in my engine (brand new!) I knew better than to buy cheap stuff and did it anyways. Valvetrain parts always save longer and buy the best you possibly can. Dont buy generic ..xxx lift white box crap. Get the good stuff. Isky Crower Pac etc. Used intakes, engine tin etc sure go buy used

Great video, I agree with you about the Rotella oil. But you might want to rethink the additive. I was using the Comp zinc additive until one day I tried a test. I mixed equal parts of the additive and oil and let it sit overnight. The two clearly separated. So who knows what actually happens inside the engine. And too much zinc can cause more harm than good.

JD, did you have any issues droppin in the duraspark distibutor? the shaft is shorter than the TFI distributor and it seems it's kind of a pain to get the oil pump shaft aligned to drop in

My son's car was dead below 3k with the Victor Jr intake. We picked up a lot of torque with a Performer 289. I wish we could've found a cheap RPM, but it didn't work out. The 289 is a little small, but it has better street manners.
