Richie seems like a good ole boy ... "ya know" and "its gonna look real perty". Love these guys, pretty humble but in reality they have mad skills. Seems like the perfect craftsman for the manner in which you have chosen to go with the restoration. Can't wait to see it come along going to be a "perty" cool build as Richie would say. 😎
LOVE THIS BUILD & The Way its being Done!! To each is own, Build the car You Want buddy!!
Strange....I am not sold on your ideas personally. However, diversity is what makes the world go around. With soooooo many z28 and ss cars out there, it will be refreshing to see something different running around. Stay true to yourself and have fun my friend.
God bless!
Lookin good, my first car was a 68, convertible 327. It belonged to my dad. Wish I had it now but I have a 18 Mustang GT convertible so that’s okay. Great series.
Bill Hirsh paint is some of the best for engines. Keep up the cool canary videos.
gonna enjoy this build
Glad to see this build! Keep us posted!
Wow, nice work. This car will be bitchin'. Seems like you have the vision for what you want. At least you won't have to worry about dinging up the paint on assembly.
👍👍
I think the Cerakote is a nice touch. The plan sounds killer and with the patina it will sure be a stunner. Nice work Ritchie 👍
Cerakote has lots of cool colors to choose from. I have sprayed gun barrels. Remove all oil, sandblast, remove oil, spray, bake.
Thanks
Good job. Enjoy the channel. 👍
Going to be a awesome ride! Some thoughts on the mini-tubs. I put a set into a 70 Camaro recently, DSE's. Since I had to cut out about 2 1/2 inches of the floor and seat frame and weld in the flange, it might be better to get the floor put in first. That way your weld the flange to the new floor. I had a NOS tail panel and compared it to a AMD tail panel and found no difference and the AMD tail panel actually fit just a little better around the edge of the tail lights.
I’ve used cerakote. Depending on which series you’re using it’s very tough. I used their hight temp stuff on a set of headers and have found it to be the best product I’ve used so far. I used it on a set of headers on my Camaro 3 years ago. They look as good as the day I did them.
I hope this project isn’t the last we see of Richie
glad youre keeping the patina. cant fake that
Parker, are you going back with the original color?
Fix the rust
Cerakote will scratch very easily so expect that. I also would not recommend it on headers. We all thought that too. Better to use Jet Hot. Hopefully you mixed the black and gold from the same product family. If not it may have adhesion problems. Lot of experience with Cerakote. I introduced it to the largest firearms company in the US when I was there. We were also Cerakote's first firearm customer.
😎👍🏽
Yeee Yeee !!
Sub and a like!! Great channel!
Thanks man!
I'm always impressed by a restorers skills like Ritchie's to be able to keep a car body aligned with bracing when major pieces are removed. Although I'm not a fan of patina on modern era cars, your Camaro might look cool anyway, especially with a vinyl top. Good Luck with this project.
Had me until the vinyl. But hey that what makes the world go around. Nice job.
I'm still not understanding why removing the rust (sand blasting or whatever) isn't high on your list

With all the sheet metal work done on the car I'd just paint or wrap it.
How much to a rap $$

Hey Parker, just wondering....why on earth would you want to leave rust and faded paint on the outside of this beautiful Camaro..? You obviously must like it, I guess???....and yet...the process of rust has started and by using this care every day when finished, and so exposing this car to the weather the rust processes all over the car will sooner or later chew this Camaro up... Such a shame that you do not preserve this Camaro from rust. I mean faded paint...: ok if you really must, but rust....really???
Leave the metal roof. Just paint patina to match. Looking gd
First.
cant understand what is wrong with you guys today, fix the damn rust.
Patina is big right now. Not my thing but some of them do look cool.
That's for the next guy, or the next 😂😂😂 looks like they are getting and cutting out all the hidden rust...
Check out DD Speed Shop, Danny has a 67 Camaro build. He cuts all the cancer, shows step by step, and he's even going to paint this car.
Fix all the rust, put an expensive paint job on it then wrap it up in blankets in your garage and never drive it.
A row of perfect Camaros at a car show is boring. A row of Camaros with patina like this car would be very interesting to see. This type of car has character. Looking forward to the final result. Keep up the great work.
It makes me sick patina should only be for an old pickup truck
It's embarrassing to have an classic that looks like it's going to the junk yard. Why bother it's called LAZYNESS LAZINESS
