This is an exceptional work and it’s been awesome listening to Thomas’s music evolve over the years. A track that was released a while back, “That’s a Wrap”, is a powerhouse. One of my favorites.
I love "That's a Wrap," too! I didn't leave in much of my reaction to it, but "Humanity" reminded me of "That's a Wrap" a bit. I'm going to have to get a lot more familiar with that one, because I don't have a great feel for its structure yet. I remember thinking "That's a Wrap" was decent when I first heard it, but it was only when I started recognizing and anticipating all the sections that it came to be one of my favorites. :)
That one was my instant-favorite from the album, and it remains my favorite now. It's like all the benefits of "Flight of the Silverbird," "Evergreen," "Victory," "Dragonwing," and "Blackheart" at once. ;)
Thanks caleb really good review. My fav is mountain sound. Great start like you looking forward to what else thomas comes up with. Music makes you braver
Kinda late to the party, but holy pretty much every song in this album makes me want to close my eyes semi-aggressively and absorb the chills going down my spine. He did some absolutely amazing work, Mountain Call is my favorite as well :)
It is interesting to reflect on how our brain works in relation to the "expectations" that we set ourselves. I agree with everything. I feel like I'm used to this level of quality already in every Thomas composition. If I look back, these works are at a level as high and higher than Illusions and Sun, however one who already knows the excellence of Thomas, expects even more. We are bad used haha. What he did in "Orbital" and the EDM mix, I think is what I innovate the most in this first part, I had never heard Thomas make such good mixes. However I need to admit that "Beautiful People" was my favorite .... Those Bulgarian chants are a heart massage
This chapter is memorable. In every way. "Eleutheria" is a PERFECT opening for the Humanity project as a whole. Then, I wish sooo hard that "Humanity" came second. It really has that feeling of embarking on a Journey. It is soooo great tho. "We are one" and "Beautiful people" have always been one single track to me. My favorite for a while. Then, "mountain call" hit me. This one was something, for sure. "Wings" is not as memorable as other tracks in the album. "Orbital" was unexpected. (Hadn't heard "Catch me" album at the time.) That final mashup, well, what a finale. And it's just chapter ONE. *Don't be over!* will be Humanity's main theme, I think. It has been for chapters 2 to 4.
I love how he releases three different versions of beautiful people and each one is distinct and different nobody on this earth can do that and also make the track length different
This album just gets better and better every time I listen to it. My reaction was pretty much the same as yours the first time I listened to it. Now I'm just hoping he'll release Avalanche to the public soon because I need it in my life lol
I've been enjoying it more with repeated listens, too; I didn't include much of my response to "Humanity," but I've been particularly liking that one more and more as I've gotten more familiar with it. "Wings" has been stuck in my head a lot lately, too. :) I was really eager for a public release of the Catch Me album a couple months ago, but I'm so preoccupied with Chapter II that I don't want any obstacles in the way of its release now! ;)
Only (slight) criticism on your video would be that there is some white noise from your mic (maybe you could filter it for the next reaction/talk video). Really enjoyed it nevertheless :)
@@fabyymusics Yeah, I completely agree, and I apologize for that. I ran a mic through a DSLR, and excessive noise tends to result from that. It's pretty reverby in my new office room, too, which didn't help. I just had the idea at the last minute and was too impatient to spend much more time setting things up before sitting down to listen to the new music, so the impromptu nature of it is my excuse this time around. ;)
The chosen one is literally non stop and then with dragon pt 2 for two steps from hell and maybe the catch me album he is talking about and maybe the mind tracer album with nick WOW
Hi Caleb, thanks for your video. And i saw you make tracks as well. I'm working toward becoming a breathwork coach. This type of music is, as im sure you're well aware, perfect for it. Are there other similar artists whom you can recommend ? Much obliged. Best, Patrick
Individual chapters will only be digital, but Thomas has confirmed there will be a complete CD box set after all the chapters have been released. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long! ;)
"Aw, don't be over," was my exact reaction when the album was over 😂
Ha I love rewatching these videos.... Thank you Caleb thats so awesomme

"Mountain Call" is more than a song. It's a scream for joy.
By far, the best TSFH song of all time.
Thomas Bergersen has surpassed himself with that.
That one was my instant-favorite from the album, and it remains my favorite now. It's like all the benefits of "Flight of the Silverbird," "Evergreen," "Victory," "Dragonwing," and "Blackheart" at once. ;)
@@TheWhoniversalMan I totally agree. A new entry, straight to the top.
And I thought that it was IMPOSSIBLE for a new song to do that, but we'll see.
It was the best, then chapter 2 came with "We are legend".
Mountain call is obviously the top of the iceberg... just amazing!! Love your video btw..(;

his battlecry album and skyworld album was my warcry throughout highschool
Illusions and SkyWorld were mine. ;)

Just like there are many different «types» of beautiful people
Mountain Call sounds like it was collaborated with Nightwish lol. That symphonic rock vibe! 🔥
I choose my favorie 5 tracks of this wonderful album:
1.- L'appel Du Vide
2.- Mountain Call
3.- Wings
4.- Orbital
5.- Beautiful People (and its remix)
This album is probably one of my favorites

Caleb Jablonicky Mountain Call started out as my favorite, but now Beautiful People has been going through my head a lot and it may be my new fave lol
Mountain call reminds me alot of Nightwish
hahahahahaha, so funny you are! I like you! And I can feel your love for Toms music, so I do. :)
Fun review mirroring many of my own reactions :D Interesting follow-up thoughts as well :)

L’Appel Du Vide has a music video, which I think is a first for Thomas.
