Jerome in the back being being versatile again! He is so underrated.
Guitar tone, that bass, that delay on the vocals and piano chords, hard kick drum! You know, I really didn't care that much for the actual song, but I swear this is amazing! The back up vocals too! Bro! This is even better than the recording, I think anyway. So epic! OMC THE ENDING! OH. MY. COW.

the end is just the same thing as the intro dm f and they add dm g the second time. just alternate them. The part Drew does is D E F, D E F, D E F G A C D and then starts all over and adds a little solo to the end.
Sounds amazing! Could listen to this over and over.
I hope whenever they release a new album it has at least one song where they all wail on the drums together like this again.

Vocal sounds a bit like James la Brie.( from Dream Theater ) Which is of course a compliment. I'm not a fan of this music, but it sounds really cool.

raisedfist80 I think on the record it might not sound so bad, but because there are so many low frequencies in this live/studio performance they crunch together.
That's an intentional chord. It's an A7/C# (A7 with the bass note on C#). Some kind of transition between C and Dm.

Switchfoot can't help it if other idolize them. Paul was idolized. Switchfoot has encouraged MANY believers in their walk, and lead many atheists to listen to christian music. If you outright DON'T LIKE rock music, then stay away from it & don't judge other. in all honesty do you think God is as concerned with The Sound* as he is with YOUR heart. (*inside joke with my fellow friends of the foot)
