      Just a quick question. If I wanted to make a blanket, you said that if I did just one kind of stitch, it would curl up. SO, should I do the whole blanket in a knit and then pearl, or should I knit for so many rows then pearl. THANK YOU!

    This is a great introduction for those who have no experience with knitting or who are intimidated by experienced knitters who attempted to teach them to knit! The simple instructions are far more helpful than some of the condescending comments from experienced knitters. As an experienced knitter who lived thru the instruction of these individuals I look forward to playing with this new Yarn project idea....Thanks Red Heart.

    I am an avid craft person who in recent years has had to stop most of my crafts due to spinal damage from an auto accident. Since I can no longer cross stitch and do some of the other things I enjoy, I would love to try this as I have been wanting to make blankets for hospital or animal rescue shelters. I will go get some materials and give it a try since the very nice lady in the video makes it look like I will be able to do it. She did a fantastic job of showing us how to do this craft. She was trying to go slow and easy with it so that even people like me who have no experience at all will want to give it a try. Thank you for the video and this cool looking yarn.

    I agree that this would be perfect with people with mobility issues. Some children are already knitting with her fingers with other types of yarn. She explains very well in the video. If this is the same type of yarn as the Bernat Blanket yarn, it would be perfect for baby blankets. I can't wait to try it!

    My aunt bought me this yarn to try, and I had no idea what to do with it, but the video's instructions were super helpful and easy to follow, and the yarn itself is a lot simpler to use than I thought. I thought the loops would come out too easily, but because of how fuzzy the yarn is, friction between the old and new loops keeps everything in place. Thank you so much for the video, and 10/10 would recommend the yarn.

    I used to knit, crochet, crossstitch, etc. But, since I now have an autoimmune disease (which causes some physical challenges).... ....I do have some trouble keeping my hands steady ...& my eyes aren’t quite as sharp, plus some memory issues. ...So, I think Marley did a fantastic job showing EXACTLY HOW to use this new Finger Loop yarn!!! Not everyone learns @ the same pace or, in the same WAY...so this nice, slow paced video is a great way to teach both young & old alike...those with & those without... ANY knitting experience @ ALL! Great job, Marley! I really appreciate your patience in describing, in precise detail, HOW to knit, using this brand new Finger Loop yarn! Thank you for your patience!

    I have been a knitter and crocheter for about 70 years and I see a small issue that might be well to mention and solve. People new to hand work might like to learn this. That is:
    some of the stitches were twisted as they were worked and others were not. I think the knit side especially, would look a little nicer if the stitches were not twisted. (For knitters this would be like going in the back or front of the stitch, or having them on your needles)
    I am not sure there would be other things I would like to make with this method, but it looks fun for what was described. I have grandchildren who could love this and a daughter with physical problems much like other viewers. If you have physical issue, or think you are too advanced for this video, take the good things you can from it for your situation and forget all the insulting comments.

    I wanted to learn how to knit. Never understood what people were talking about, when they said Purl. Now, when I decide to learn how to knit, I will have an idea of what is going on. Someone tried to show me how to knit, but I couldn't follow them and it was hard to see what their hands were doing. Now I understand the back to front stitch. When other people did it, the stitches looked all the same. I had a friend get mad at me and insult me because I couldn't learn what she was showing me. She said, "even a child could learn this." she wasn't a good teacher. She started off like I knew something about knitting. I knew nothing. I learned more in 14 minute video then I learned with her sitting and trying to teach me. Every can't teach. Some peope maybe great knitters, but don't have the patience or knowledge to teach. Thanks for this video!!!

  • @sharonadamec1034
    @sharonadamec1034 6 лет назад +1

    Interesting concept, but the quality of the yarn is lacking. Specifically, where there strands connect, you're left with an inconsistent length of unlooped yarn and tails hanging off the knot. You can manually push the straight yarn through as a loop and hope it stays in place while you finish the row. The connection points are also much too frequent. There shouldn't be two breaks one 7 yard skein. Also the spacing of the loops can be inconsistent. I find myself missing loops and having to check my work every 5-10 stiches. Perhaps, I've gotten a bad lot, but if this is the norm, I'll stick to unlooped yarn.

    • @michaels

      Actually for this loops yarn, you do not need a tail. You count in for your foundation row and then loop back through the loops of the foundation row so nothing would unravel. This is only true for this yarn type.

    Ok I must be some kind of idiot. I can follow her and repeat what you do. I am new to any kind of knitting so I am having difficulty "reading" the instructions of the patterns without getting confused. HELP! I love the yarn and i would like to do more but I am frustrated.

    What can of crap yarn is this? “No more fuss? No more mess?” If crocheting or knitting is a mess or fuss compared to this yarn, you’re not doing it correctly.

      Eh, I find it pretty nice actually because I can't usually take my knitting needles on airplanes.
