wait... why are you saying the "profit" for crafting these things is the price of the finished product only. thats not how crafting works. profit=sale price-cost of all inputs. so you are not getting anywhere near 2-4 gold for these if you take away the cost of the inputs. you dont magically have infinite amounts of these resources so they need to be included as costs as u could sell them instead. so need compare sell all inputs individually versus make item with those inputs. this is very bad information as you are losing, breaking even, or barely making anything with most of these items. and when you take time into account, these are horrible gold/hr
I dont mean to be so offtopic but does anybody know of a trick to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the password. I love any help you can offer me
@Brantley Alan I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Yea this might have been true when the video came out but as of 2022 it sure seems like the individual materials sell for slightly more than the bolt of damask. Which you would think wouldn't be the case due to the time gating but I guess people flooded the market
You have higher margins on exotic weapons and armor with various stats like viper, assassin, minstrel etc. Just make sure to check TP prices before and account for tp fees. And you don't have a daily limit.
Leatherworking 400 can make you so much money if you just play the game for crafting materials, salvage for globs of ecto then craft&sell. No get rich schemes work as consistently as this. You can craft rare items real fast, for good amount of gold this way
With the spiritwood, deldrimor, bolt, and elonian. Instead of selling them individually, I use to use them to make either the Damask Patch and/or the Deldrimor Steel Plated Dowel. Combined they always sold a bit more then the individual parts. Then I discovered the jeweled versions of them, which sells for even more.
Welcome back. I used to really enjoy the content you put out, then it just stopped. Here's to hoping you find time to create others, especially with the new expansion coming.
This video is woefully out of date, even at the time of its release. Several of the items (Damask, Spiritwood, Composite wood) are significant gold losses (and have been for quite a long time). You will make more gold selling the materials used to create them than you will crafting these and selling the crafted materials. Several others are minor losses or break evens depending on the market conditions when you sell them. Always check gw2efficiency before crafting any of these.
Can someone tell me why the materials for the grandmaster weapon smith marks are expensive af? It would be cheaper just to craft the materials for ascended than to obtain materials for the grandmaster weapon smith mark
Welcome back dude, I kinda did the same when it come to gaming. I put myself away to focus on real life. No much time to game tho but hey probally by the time I get everything squared the would be a good mmo out lmao.
Ehh, this just basic daily craft, we're talking about small gold gain here. I was expecting a guide for some unique ways and larger gold gain. Might as well craft and sell phantasm weapons with about 100g profit per sale :p
What weapons are you selling? I only managed 20-30 per sale, granted that was awhile ago. Seems like this video is targeted at items you commonly have the mats for. Makes sense it's small profit
I didn't think this was right as I craft time-gated items and I'm aware of what is profitable, so I just sanity checked your first item, bolt of damask. The crafting cost is more than the TP sale price, i.e. you will make a loss if you bought the parts which make up the item. Hence, it will be profitable to sell some/all of the individual components but not the completed item; obviously you may need the completed item for making actual armour/weapons you need. I haven't bothered to check your other recommendations because I feel the video has lost any credibility. It only takes a check of GW2BLTC to see profit/loss figures.
Hmm... you might be right about selling all the components being more profitable vs. selling the completed item. I actually didn't check all of that, seems like an extra layer of granularity that I should have accounted for but didn't. I just did the math on the Bolt of Damask and you would make 20ish silver more if you just sold all the components vs. crafting it into the final completed item. That is kind of lame... :( I wonder how many of the other items fall into this category.
@@GamingwithGS1 Problem is, that the silk scraps and also thick leather is needed for the Eye of the North stuff daily exchange! Prices were going up insanely. Silk scraps are now ~80-90 copper from 40 copper weeks backThats why you make at least 50s loss with crafting bolt of damask rn
Ive bought all the material and crafted bolts of damask and made over a gold profit on each before. Prices in the trading post can jump dramatically even over the course of a week. Right now iron ore sells for something like 50 copper. Earlier this year it was selling for almost 2 silver each.

Agreed. This is misleading. If you craft bolts of damask and sell them, currently you'd be at a loss.

The text sheet that is being shown in video with info.. is there away to get a pdf of that? pausing every 3 sec to write all tis is taxing
Question : I can't figure out how to get the recipe for elonian leather square and it's not in my list of craftables on my 500 leatherworker character

HE'S ALIVE!
Wow you're still alive
That I am! :)
What was the website for leveling the crafting ?
gw2crafts.net
Great content, but please for the love of all that is holy, Damask does not have an “n” in it.
Haha! Sorry, I do this a lot!
Yeah this isn't all that helpful, you forgot to subtract the cost of the basic materials, the profit becomes miniscule when you do the math.
This was useful. You have my gratitude, you did a swell job
