I agree. At least he didn't pull a Phil..lol.. I respect that he did an entire new album rather than just rely on playing old songs and calling it Slayer..
I was at this show, I was expecting diet slayer, which is how it still felt at first. As time went on though and I was able to identify all the a list musicians he had with him, i fell more and more into it. For me, this was the surprise of the show. Oh and more props to KK for finally bringing in some new guitar licks and stuff after 40 years.
I gotta say I have been pretty blown away by Kerry and his new band. The song writing is excellent and Kerry is playing better than ever. Edit: I'll still stand by what I said but now I'm realizing the other dude is doing some leads that I recognize from the studio recordings. That makes sense because when I first heard the opening tune's (sorry dont know the names yet, it was a coworker that was playing me this stuff) studio version I was like "damn Kerry just ripped a couple of Yngwies moves." 😊 Edit 2: it's true, Google IS my friend, so that's Phil Dennel on the other guitar?! Yeah, no wonder again, he was great in Machine Head.
Been better to play mostly Slayer then a medly of KK at the end lol that was weak. Throw in some slayer classics at the end??! That set was lame & I was embarrassed for him dude ya gotta beg Tom to come outta retirement cause bro, it's like I know I'm seeing Kerry King but it just don't seem like the same guy that slayed in slayer, very weird to witness...
How come no one cares that Kerry King, Tom Morello, Zakk Wylde, Jimi Hendrix, Slash, etc, use the wah but slam Kirk Hammett for using it? I like all those guys! Kerry is awesome! But he never wrote a solo as great as Kirk Hammett. Kirk wrote so many iconic solos! People are jealous morons!
Fog machine mix is usually just propylene glycol, its usually in vape juice too. I've noticed the worst effect is that it's antibacterial which will give you sinus infections with repeated use. It definitely shouldn't be used cause some people are deathly allergic
