need to react to Halford's solo work after you finish with Priest except maybe 2wo which is straight industrial but Fight and Halford are fine quality Metal pieces.

Oh do 2wo also. Definitely consider doing Halford’s solo work - well worth it

    Nice video as always !
Are you going to skip Angel of Retribution since I've heard you say you already know it ?
If so, it's gonna be Nostradamus !!
My personnal favorite. In fact Nostradamus is my favorite album ever. If you're expecting some groovy Priest tracks, you may be disappointed, but in terms of storytelling, and drama, it's unmatched. It also has the best performances of Halford in my opinion.
Also, as it's full of intros, I highly recommand that you find versions with the intros and the songs stuck together, to get the overall vibes better.
Looking forward to it ! 🤘

I am curious to see how your view of the Ripper albums shakes out when you go back to do the final ratings. Do they get better with additional listening? Wear thin? Stay the same? Enquiring minds want to know!
I never had a problem with their change of direction, but I was listening to them when they came out in that era so they seemed to fit better. Plus they had a new singer with a lot of low end growl so it seemed like they were trying to fit his style

I think my biggest problem with the Ripper era is exactly what you keep saying. It just doesn’t sound like JP. JP have change their sound many times over the years from VoC to PoE to Turbo to Painkiller to Nostradamus BUT it always sounded like JP. Also, I think the lyrics are extremely sophomoric. Finally, just not a big Ripper fan. He can definitely sing but to me he mostly sounds more like Alice In Chains with deviations into other metal vocal styles. It’s like he doesn’t have his own unique style. Will say that a lot of the guitar riffs are pretty damn good but thats about it

I'm a big fan of Tim's vocals, but IMO, everything he did after Priest was way better. From Iced Earth, to Malmsteen, and especially his own projects like Charred Walls of The Damned, I feel like it's superior to his stuff in Priest. It's almost like they were holding him back vocally.

He’s a great singer. He just butchers Judas Priest. Everything else is good. Framing Armageddon vocals are sick. Gettysburg rules. He nails a bunch of stuff with KK…
But he sucks hard at all things JP, whether it’s a Rob song, or his own - it all deserves to be hidden.

After Priest you can check the KK’s Priest albums.KK Downing after leaving Priest and Ripper Owens are awesome! Lyrics are pathetic but music is awesome! A lot. Ore Priest sounding.

Excellent reaction as always. Did not like "Lost and Found", Priest have done great ballads, and this was not one of them. Other songs were good, but still not the Priest sound, .... we had to wait for Rob's come back.

Funny you mention John 5; he was the guitar player on the dreaded 2WO album… which is still better than this nonsense, lol.
