My favorite on the Human album WAS Suicide Machine, until I saw them live on the Individual Thought Patterns tour. When they came back thru on the Individual Thought Patterns tour, I was dead center front row right in front of Chuck. I would scream for Lack Of Comprehension between each song they played. He took a pause between songs and looked around at the band. They all kinda nodded. Chuck said "we weren't even planning on playing this one tonight but since St. Louis's biggest Death fan wants to hear it - here it goes". I then proceeded to scream my head off singing along with him face-to-face. He even tilted the mic towards me on the last chorus. Walked over and gave me his pick at the end. So did the bassist. (Not sure who at that time) My best mosh pit memory. BY FAR.
R.I.P. Chuck
Death(Chuck Schuldiner)are the Godfathers of Death Metal….what’s astounding is that they didn’t have to constantly resort to Satanism, the Occult, or Horror imagery to come up with compelling lyrics….RIP Chuck 🤘🏽😞🤘🏽😞🤘🏽😞
Death ( human)
Cynic ( Focus)
⚗️🎸🌌
Basically, the creation of "technical death metal," right here.
Sean Reinert [Gods rest his soul!! 😭😭😭😭🫂]
with Paul Masvidal (after & before -the eventual reunion of!- CYNIC!🔥🔥) laying the ground work for a whole, new, style! 🤘🤘
🖤 Death🖤 in my top 5 for best bands of all time. Beautiful, emotional, talented.
...in some sense, that entire "devil's music" thing, hails from/goes back to: the established conflict, set up in the Southern church, between: Gospel & Blues. Blues was given the title of "devil's music" ... while, of course, Gospel was "God's." ...but this was used as a kind of "shibboleth" among those who considered themselves "real, churchgoing Christians." ...The idea got morphed and passed along to other ideas and styles...
Mentioned Jazz! Try Spyro Gyra! Awesome Saxophone! And incredible live!🤘🔥
Phenomenal track.
My favorite band and my favorite album. If you would do a reaction to the band Cynic-Veil of Maya, the drummer and guitarist is from this band. Atheist is another band that is very much jazz influenced too.
How could I (Cynic)
My favorite guitar solos,i have ever heard.
@@padredamianj.karras9660 Love that song, what a great ending to that album
death is my fav band also, but cynic's 'focus' is the album i listened to more times than any other album ever. its so good. what a pity people didnt get it back in the 90s.
you should hear scavenger of sorrow, without judgement, the philosopher and flesh and the power it holds!
Love the Channel 1980 ideas Break it Up / Luanne (Live) Foreigner Eddre Money Take a Little Bit of my love / Billy Squire (Anything) Keep up the great work
The conversation on music and its purpose for listeners was really great. Both guys made terrific points. The vocals to this song wasn't my preference but that doesn't mean others shouldn't be able to enjoy them. The musicianship was fantastic, even if metal isn't my personal favorite genre. One of the things that the guys consistently do (and talked about in the video) is to react and review to diverse forms of music, which I give them a ton of credit for doing. Well done, guys. What's next? 😂
Two things that are always fluid in metal bands... The drum sound and one or more guys in the band viciously rotating their heads.😀
This was good. Thank you, guys!!
Great musical observations from the guy in the white hat. Subscribed
Guys guys guys…you must do the new Willow album! It’s called Empathogen. Best songs are “Fear is Not Real” or “Symptoms of Life” amazing vocals, amazing musicianship.
Literally such an amazing band. Check out more of Individual Thought Patterns, that’s my favorite album by them.
Hey guys... Great content... started watching after you played Al Stewart.... Big suggestion to check out... Band Whitesnake song Still of the Night... It has the changes within the song that you guys like .. inter song surprises... If you haven't heard it... Highly recommend... Classic Rock
Thank you guys!❤❤❤ no comment.
Opeth- Bleak.
Death is top notch! Cool reaction!
Seems you guys enjoy progressive, try listen early Edge of Sanity, Dan Swano from that band is a beast. Check his whole metal archives page and you´ll know! XD
Cheers from Portugal!
"Eli's coming" by 3 Dog Night! Cool groove
Not my cup of tea. I do try eveything with an open mind. The vocals are what trips me up. I did go and look up the lyrics. They were upset about that controversy. Good that they spoke out on it. I did a speech in college and i cited the Judas Priest controversy - that they were not responsible for those two taking their lives. (Too emotional - that is another video). But you are right music is more than what it seems. Some can hear this and absolutely love it and it touches someone the way music can. Others like me (have to dig deeper). Not all of one genre is bad, there are just different layers. But it brings a smile to your face!
This is my first time hearing this band.😂
Hard to believe Richard Christy from Howard Stern was the drummer!
Not on this album.
You should react to Parabola by tool and The patient!
Guys, you need to conduct a survey, “which reactions or songs were the ones that you didn’t like,” I’m sure you will collect a large pile of comments with criticism, and nasty things, 😂 but you must be prepared for this. 😂
Not my bag. Thanks for your reactions though

Metal is not the best musical genre in terms of music popularity, because where will you find a place to listen to rock music, and where will you listen to metal? In the toilet? Or under your grandma's sofa? It’s like with non-commercial music, it exists, but few people listen to it.
Is that why bands like Metallica and Black Sabbath sell millions upon millions? Lol get real
My comment 💩💩💩
Wrong Death band
Death was an all Black protp punk band formed in 1971
That's who I thought you were reacting to and would have been far more interesting..
I didn't like the vocals, he had the voice of a hoarse old grandfather who wants to drink blood. Perhaps it was the music of vampires?
The marathon is over and everything has become very bad,😭😂 who is your DJ? 😂
I didn’t like it, I didn’t hear anything except the vocalist’s scream, there wasn’t even a semblance of some kind of melody, if all metal is like that, then this is the best direction in music for me and my perception.
This is common place in this style. They are one of many. I never got it either.
@@jgsrhythm100 It was an alternative, which is why it sounds so bad out of place, like a burnt scrambled egg. 🔥😂
You're right, it's complete nonsense.
To understand the vocals, you have to listen to more music with extreme style vocals. Your ears aren’t trained yet.
If you want a song on the same album that’s instrumental, check out Cosmic Sea.
...Did you not hear the melody in the solo/the harmonic movement under it? There were a lot of chord changes throughout the whole thing, too.
Regarding the vocals, I've heard picturing Death's vocals as more of a percussive thing than a melodic thing helps for some people.
The intro was good, then it went to sh*t..................
Bad music
Uh?
Bad listener
