We ALMOST Got a V10 Acura NSX...

With the second-generation Acura NSX ending production next December, automotive fans worldwide are left wondering about the future of Honda's future for their everyday supercar. Yet, few know of the true 2nd generation of the NSX... one that began to take shape mere months after the end of the original model's end. With plans for a V10 right in front of the driver, one might wonder the impact this would've had on NSX name and the Acura brand today. And while this spiritual successor never saw the light of day, the name and design would miraculously see life in the Japanese SuperGT series.

one, the reaction of the R&D department was very violent, they were really angry, enough to

Acura could have a completely different brand image if not for the cancellation of these two vehicles. They would've had a RWD platform and an amazing V10 powered NSX.

Honda cancelled a fantastic v10-powered super GT (not the racing series, just a high-performance GT such as the R35) and replaced it with some hybrid V6 that nobody wanted. What a stupid thing to do.
I remember back in the day how a lot of people were excited for the then 2nd gen NSX to come out. There was a sigh of relief as Honda was finally going to make something other than a I4/V6. Nope.
