Awesome video! If anyone is a Insta 360 hater because certain youtubers were making a fuss. Remember there are 3 sides of the story. Their side, Insta 360 side and then the truth. Haters hate somewhere else.

How big are the biggest files you got from the X4?
i would like to run it with a powered selfiestick for up to 4 hours roadtrip with the gps data in 1 file instead of many 30min, like on my X3.

Reviewing the camera after so long is a tough job but someone had to do it. Anyway the footage looked great, full of detail and the zooming in shot was something that others have tended not to do. But it looked ok. Sharpness on medium methinks? Perhaps the most important setting.
haha yea, i meant to get to it earlier but just got busy, but gave me a better chance to play around with it and get some cool footage. I actually didnt change any settings to the sharpness.. this was all just out of the box, and then into the studio app to reframe it. I was also impressed with the zooming part with that boat. I will keep testing it out, but really do like it so far!
Which wall charger do you use for the Insta360 X4 or the X4 Charger? Could it be the iPhone charger?
The only thing stopping me from getting the X4 is having to replace ALL the batteries and accessories. They could have made it backwards compatible.
at least the selfie sticks are the same 😂 but i suppose batteries do decay over time or maybe because it requires more power they needed a bigger battery?

I would love to have the X4 because my X2 is kept freezing on me. I changed out few SD cards but still freezing.

hmmm i wonder why. when i was in vegas at the esk8con i saw a lot of riders with x2 cameras. none of them had any issues. maybe it needs to be factory reset and then updated through the app??

whats editing the footage like, so you just use proxies?
i actually dont use proxies, but i think there is a way to do it if you dont have a fast enough computer. But for me it was simple, and rendering was quick on a Macbook Pro 14 Low specs
How is the stitching in 8K compared to the X3 and X2? I've had noticeable issues but am not sure if it's because of the camera being bigger than the X2.
that is a really interesting point. i didn’t notice anything to bad just from the footage i shot over the past few weeks. but i’ll play around with it and see if i notice it.
Step one, have you got the correct setting for lens protection? If you have lens protectors on but don't tell the camera, stitching can go wrong.
ya thanks Ozpeter, i didnt use any lens protectors on this.. if was like rock climbing or doing something where it has a high probability of scratching the lens, i would definitely put them on!
@@Ozpeter I turned off in-camera stitching and set it to no lens guards (as I haven’t used them). Also saw a slight difference between desktop and mobile apps

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA. I've bought it last week from a famous camera retailer. The camera doesn't activate after firmware update. And the technical support's response? Yes!!! They told me you stole the camera!!!! Total bullshit. Even after showing them the receipt, packaging, serial number, etc. WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER SEEN. IRRESPONSIBLE AND IRRATIONAL.
whats the camera retailer name? Might have been different for you in you bought it on their official website.
