I am a Go 3S owner, and I have a Quick Reader with a SanDisk V30 1TB card. Loading times are still relatively slow and the battery life is limited, but the camera does what I am using it for. I love the creative camera angle ability and I find the image coordination with the docking pod neat. I may actually end up getting all three just because. For now the Go 3S is entertaining me adequately.
Unfortunately the GO 3S doesn't have a square sensor but a 4:3, which make it possible to reframe in vertical but with a significant crop. It also means it doesn't have horizon leveling without a big crop
One of the best comparison videos I've seen in a really long time. Could you do a video on "Best settings" to take best shots in different conditions for all the cameras? That would be even more helpful because there's almost none out there.
Hello, thank you for this great comparison! We are having issues with our low light footage by using GoPro 12 (in situations when can't bring our mirrorless). We do own an 360X4 for our 360 shots but it's not very practical to use as action camera. So after watching this I used the link to purchase the Ace Pro. I was amazed for the discount applied with your link! Thank you again for such a great video, you literally answered all my questions and helped making my decision on this purchase! Now can't wait to put my hands on it and make some awesome videos! Victor and MJ
I'm exactly looking at these three. With the Ace Pro II just being released, the first Ace Pro has the lowest price. If I could get each one of them I could but I'm tryihg to minimize my stuff. Maybe I'll get the go 3s or even fhe oldwe6 go 3.
Very useful! Been looking for a great comparison and it’s the best one! Just in time when I really need to buy! Thank you. Few more questions: 1. How’s the microphone of Go3s? Would it suffice for youtube videos? I know depends on the location. But in general, not super noisy place. Would it be enough? Or I better stick with Ace Pro? 2. What’s the best selfie stick for Go3s? Mainly for vlogging and getting some bit of height would be good for some views. How about ACE Pro? Thank you!! I want to buy before the sale ends!
Hi Gladis, I would say that the microphone on all three cameras is not great but ok. Could be enough for RUclips but I wouldn't use it for vlogging. As a selfie-stick I would get the standard 114cm selfie stick from Insta360. It's fine for all 3 cameras.
I would like to tell you about the new firmware update in Action 4, and how it gave Action 4 a better image quallity than Insta 360 in some details. That firmware update changed the game, because i took screen shoots of Ace Pro and Action 4 and magnified the images, and Action 4 is back into the game to fight for the first place against Ace Pro...
I’m thinking of using one of the insta 360 cameras film inside shopping malls, and for walking tours. My GoPro is good in sunshine, but jittery in indoor or low/mixed light. Can the Go3S handle indoor lighting? Or would the ace pro be better? I love the tiny size of the Go3S for walking hands free in a mall (pendant) but the ace pro seems like the winner in low light.
Which is better to choose Ace Pro or Osmo Pocket 3 regarding shooting quality? I want to use my camera to take videos while traveling. I want to be able to connect it directly to a PowerBank. And I want to be able to hang it on my body without having to hold it in my hand all the time. Thanks for your videos they are very informative and to the point!
Hmm - these are two really different cameras - the OP3 has the better image quality (bigger image sensor) and autofocus. It can create some background blur. The Ace Pro is an action cam, waterproof and more rugged. Everything is in focus. It's perhaps a little easier to use and can be mounted much better to your body. Both can be connected to a powerbank.
I bought insta 360 Ace pro. I was expecting more. Hoping that it is better than my iphone 14 plus. i was disappointed by insta 360 ace pro Night shots. even good lighting in the room it is still dark and Noisy. Nothing beats the camera of iphone.
…. Either you had shit settings or just lying…. Maybe your mad you can get one and see just trying to self reassure yourself that you don’t need one. Learn it use it. Grow with it.
What kind of focus problem does Insta360 Ace Pro camera sometimes have? Or is there no problem? Can the camera read the text up close? I don't understand, explain.
Like any other action camera, the Ace Pro has the focus fixed at infinity. Pretty much everything is in focus except for a small area close to the camera. Close-ups are therefore blurred. This also applies to GoPro etc. However, since the Ace Pro has a relatively large sensor, which leads to significantly better results in low light, this blurred area is somewhat larger. This is simply physics and completely normal. And it's not really a problem, because if you use it on a selfie stick or on an outstretched arm, your face is in focus and sharp. For close-ups, no action camera is really suitable.
@@MountMediaChannel Is it possible to film any unpacking at the table with this camera? and the monitor screen? will the camera be able to read the text?
Ah man, I wanted to get the X4 since I DJ in clubs and I wanted to capture some of my clients reactions. Is the low light condition super bad on the X4?
Outstanding comparison! I think I’ve settled on the Ace Pro thanks to this. One question, is the minimum focus distance as bad as redditors would have you believe? How far out does it have to be to get your face focused?
In my opininion it’s not as bad. If you hold it with an outstretched arm, you are in focus. But if you bend your arm, your face could become blurred. The whole discussion is based on a misunderstanding of the underlying technique. The larger the sensor, the better in low light conditions, but there is less depth of field. With a very small sensor, everything is sharp and in focus, but the performance in low light is poor.
@@MountMediaChannel Great, thanks for the reply. If I want to record bike rides, would you recommend I go with the cycling kit? Also is there a selfie stick that is good for general purpose and underwater? The accessories page is kind of leaving my head spinning. 😄
@@MattG1027 As a standard selfie stick I would take the 114cm selfie stick by Insta360. It's a great stick. And yes - I can absolutely recommend the cycling kit - there is an accessories tutorial for the X4 on my channel - it's for the X4 but in that video I show all the mounts mentioned.
Its quite subjective, but personally i had great experience using iphones...but for a bigger screen and ease of use, im still going for and ipad, ipad mini, or any tablets in general. Its all because of the screen sizd since you can basicallh see the video edit lines and stuff which makes it more visible for editing👌🏻, basicallg it all comes to personal preferences, cuz for some people they like to edit on laptops.
I would dispute your comment that the selfie stick is automatically removed from the x4 video. The selfie stick sits between the two lenses, and is never filmed, and therefore never removed, because it was never there.........
@MountMediaChannel what would you suggest for me I'm real estate videografer and I like to shoot my interior scene with a very wide angle lens and also very stable and sometimes the interior will be low light I'm thinking about having the action camera like the ace pro or di threesixty camera X4 Sudah meeting is need to be very wide and stable with a good dynamic range in low light The pocket camera just dosent have wide camera enough
@@MlleVB If low light is important for you I would prefer a camera with a bigger sensor - the new Ace Pro 2 would be a good choice. It's lens is still clearly wider than that of the first Ace Pro
all cameras have issues. and it doesn't matter if influencers lie about their sponsorships. because test shots and comparisons prove that Insta as well as DJI are better than the ageing small sensor go pro's. and if you don't like Insta products, what the hell are you even doing clicking on an Insta related video? lol!
