      I love that someone in Oklahoma would eat Cauliflower pizza. It seems like such a California thing. My image of Oklahoma is very outdated, I'm sure. I still think of it as the wild west with cemeteries full of tumbleweeds. LOL, maybe it's because you visit so many places like that :-) Can't wait to see and experience it in person for myself next month. Maybe I'll try my first Cauliflower pizza there :-) Thanks for sharing that Rhetty!

    • @RhettyforHistory
      @RhettyforHistory 5 лет назад

      @@TheGraveyardChannel I'm not exactly sure where you can buy cauliflower pizza here. Sarah makes it somehow. You'll go thru tumbleweed areas on your mom trip but not so much in Oklahoma. Really only the tip of the panhandle is like that. Picture grassland with cattle and horses and that will be a pretty accurate until you hit OKC or Tulsa. But because of the cattlebmost places are vfx sort of steak and potatoes type places. I'm not sure on your route but if you need help finding places to eat let me know.

    I didn't attend UCLA but for many of my high school alumni UCLA is their alma mater and they still maintain ia strong connection to the university. However, I did attend Marymount High School which is located directly across from UCLA on Sunset Blvd. I have several memories of ditching 6th period chemistry lab with my best friend; changing out of our school uniforms; and going to UCLA in search of college guys. After I completed several detentions for, as Reverend Mother stated, " my temporary lapse in good judgment ", I was allowed in my senior year to have off campus lunches. My friends and I would cut across UCLA campus to the falafel stand....walking along Westwood Village Streets. Thank you for your posts. Reminiscing with a smile.

    Most of back to school was filmed at cal state L.A. in like 84 . they were there for many days filming In the library using the interior steps as walkways between classrooms, and using king hall for classroom shots, along with the big lecture hall. I talked to Rodney for like 3 minutes in the hall outside the lecture room one day. Nicest, regular guy ever. Asked about my life plans, commented about never giving up and staying at it. Mentioned how it's easy to get discouraged along the way when there are easier ways to get by, and such. All serious and with me in the moment. No selfie, no autograph, Just a wonderful anecdote I get to tell people. The 80s was the very last decade of non-electronic people. RIP Rodney, I respect ya.

      OMG, that's priceless--pun intended :-) What an awesome memory to have. Thanks for sharing it with us. Haven't seen Robert Hays in a while, but he was certainly very popular back in the day. Thanks, again, Rebecca!

    Oh Steve you have given us yet another great memory trip. After watching this travelog I almost feel that I have been there with you. Thank you for the sweet memories from another time in our lives.

      Glad you liked it Norma. I really enjoyed this walk, but wasn't sure how many others would. So far, not many viewers seem to be interested in watching it, compared to my other videos, but I'm still glad I did it. Sometimes you just have to do them for yourself :-) Thanks, as always!

      Exactly. But seeing a movie there is more of an experience than just a movie. And in that neighborhood, those prices are probably less than a cup of coffee :-) Thanks, JH!
