Please do a video on the glycemic index and glycemic load on all these types of rice.
That is my intention, doing more videos GI-related aspects of Rice. Thanks for dropping by my channel and your suggestion. Cheers, Doc
Thank you! This helps clear the confusion. Now we have a starting point to compare GI index. Here in the U.S. so many of us think Basmati is "one thing" unto itself. I am type 2 and I like Basmati very much.. now I can search for the best option. you state clearly that you might compare GI in another video, so ignore the complainers who want it all handed to them on a silver platter. (They probably want you to prepare dinner for them, too)....
Hi Philip, your comment cracked me up :-)
I had taken a break from making videos for my channel, it's been more than 3 months since my last video, mainly because I was discouraged and I was beginning to wonder if all the heart, hard work spent planning and making the videos was making any difference or benefitting anyone. Reading your comment has encouraged me, maybe I should make a 'comeback' :-). Thank you Philip. Blessings, Dr Chan.
@@TheHabitsDoctor I haven't watched any of your other videos, (yet) but this was straight forward, clear and informative. Next time I shop for Basmati I will make different choices. One small step at a time can make important changes in the long run. Thanks again for helping me to understand and make a simple but effective change. It DOES make a difference!. Philip
Godbless Dr. Chan 🙏💞👍we really learn something new from you 💞👍watching here in Saudi Arabia Riyadh 🇸🇦we really use basmati rice here most of the time, than the other rice, because the Basmati have different kinds too, and it's tastier than others🍚💞👍🌾
In my culture, Jasmine rice is the most popular rice but increasingly more and more people are trying basmati rice for the first time, mostly because of it's reputation as being healthier and lower in GI.

Hello Honnielyn😊
This dude knows his stuff. None of my rice eating friends know the entire process of rice. It is Sad. My happy rice moments are feeding my horses and cows the unprocessed rice. They loved it. While I minimize my intake, I found the Bhutanese Red and Chinese Purple rices to be tasty.
Yes, Bhutanese Red Rice not easy to find, but I loved it. Thanks for dropping by my channel and leaving a comment, much appreciated. Cheers, Dude.
I love to have that bhutanese rice but i fo not find it herr that i could buy.
@@sarahmacasling123 Amazon sells Lotus Foods, Heirloom Bhutan Red Rice, Gluten Free, 15 Oz (Not even one pound) for about $9 plus tax. Is this the same rice being discussed here?
No its common sense.
The general human population is really really dumb.
Most people have access to the internet now, yet people just want videos of people explaining everything for them
