i remember watching this when it first came out and just wishing so much to be able to get one, well today i have officially a norns and grid on order and it's my very first time ever touching a monome device. i can't wait.
@DuralastTurbo Well I see where you're coming from with the affordability point, but I've held my friend's monome in my hand and there's nothing quite like the feel of a well-made instrument, and this is a well-made instrument. The lights can seem toyish, but can be rather inspirational and help you get into a creative mindset. No need to disrespect the concept of the makers, in my opinion.
This is perfect for both girls looking like boys and girly-giggly boys who smoke pot responsibly, wear preppy 2.hand clothes, at least wish they had a degree in graphic design, people who don't know shit about music, but like to think they do when sounds are assigned to buttons and fixed to a steady beat, people who have a thing for late 70's calculators, Narrow shoulders and low BMI helps, too. Also great for anyone within the autism spectrum.
I'm a trans woman from UK with a couple of Moogs, a wave table synth and a looper, and I'm all over the Monome. I have a little dog and make Houseboat Jams on my synths. I'm therefore right in the bell curve of wannabee Monomers.

Forget about the product itself, this is just a lovely video to watch. And there's a cat in it as well. By the way: that's a seriously big cat.

I'd choose MLR too, though I do enjoy DJ64 (big hands version for 256). It's fun for DJ-ish sets.
Great. What's this song?
thanks
I want to be just like you when I grow up. Seriously.
Awesome
I don't understand it, but I love it.
Thank you, thank you!

"my favourite part of the process is.......counting the monies"
@bclaus0 can you get that in the uk and if soi at what website
6 years ago and no reply, jeez, postage is slow!
+1 for MLR
Also, the cat matches the color scheme quite perfecty. Just imagine a black & white cat. It would fuck up the whole video. ;-)
@DuralastTurbo Such an off the wall comment but it made me LOL.
Monome people are amazing though. I just wish they were a little more affordable...
have you made it big yet? :)
i need to talk with this guys...please...i wanna buy one of this...
Also, I once more regret to have sold my Wurli 20 years ago.
