  • Tom Foolerys Adventure Park at the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock, Texas just opened last month. This indoor amusement park has an interesting mix of attractions including two roller coasters, some flat rides, and several active attractions like rock walls and ropes courses. This park looks like a lot of fun. The only problem I have with it is all the bright arcade lights. They make me so dizzy. I really liked how the rock climbing walls looked though. Very unique! Nice Video 👍

      It was definitely overwhelming, particularly from the second floor. I liked that, but I can see how it would be dizzying.

      It’s probably because I haven’t been used to the theme park lighting in a while lol.

    Wow they are charging champagne prices for beer attractions. $45 ride wristband for this place is outrageous. And that's being kind. And $10 for the adult rides? These guys are dreaming. If you are going to charge $45, then include one escape room experience or just something. I see this as $20 max.

      A lot of FECs charge crazy prices like this and manage to thrive.

    As a drop tower enthusiast, I'd like to say that the Maximum Foolocity does seem to be one-of-a-kind for an SBF Drop N'Twist. Do you know what the actual profile is? My hypothesis is it does a bunch of those little "shots" (I don't have an actual number because I can't find any full off-ride footage), then at the end, it does one more and that's the end?

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  3 года назад

      I think that's what it does, but I didn't ride it.

      @@CanobieCoaster Okay. The only other one that they put out so far is at Jolly Roger at the pier in Ocean City, Maryland. Profile seems to be different on it and I plan to get a video of it whenever I visit the city.

    My stepdaughter is afraid of rides so this would be perfect to start her on and get her more accustomed to them. Her dad doesn't really take her out to have life experiences and not be scared of stuff, so I try to make sure to get her to not be so afraid of stuff/life.

    I hadn't heard of this place before. I'll have to go at some point. On my last several trips to San Antonio, I avoid Austin traffic like the plague, which has (in the past) been the worst I've seen anywhere, Chicago & LA included. I always take the 281 route, but I guess I'll suck it up and brave the traffic for a couple coaster credits.

    • @CanobieCoaster
      @CanobieCoaster  3 года назад

      I've never hit traffic in Austin. On this most recent trip, I drove through there around 2-3 pm on a weekday with no issue but usually I make the drive early or late on a weekend. My worst spot for traffic is easily Washington DC.

    • @OklahomaCoasterFan
      @OklahomaCoasterFan 3 года назад

      Yes, I forgot about DC. Austin would be 2nd worst, but maybe it's gotten better in recent years. It used to be that 1-4am was the only time you didn't have long traffic delays. 2-3pm on a weekday would be well over an hour delay in the past.

    The nebulaz are fun rides. I went on the one at Luna Park last year, and it actually had a small amount of airtime.

      It was running much faster, and the one airtime moments was very weak. My memory of it is bad so I could also be confusing it with another flat ride. Still a fun family ride

    I have a 9 trip old, 16 year, old and 19 year old. The oldest is a big kid who probably enjoy this. Do you think teens would like this place? I see they have escape rooms on the website. My 16 yr old is really into escape rooms.

    • @taylordively4567
      @taylordively4567 3 года назад

      I think that a lot of larger parks need a Zamperla Nebulaz. For starters, they are capacity machines with 32 guests per cycle. Second, they take up a relatively small footprint. Finally, they have a relatively low price tag at around $1.5M. That is cheaper than most thrill rides and even some family attractions.
