Call me crazy, but I love watching engine-bay detailing videos. When I saw the title I knew it was going to be good. Coincidently I ordered my first bottle of Perl this afternoon from your website. Can't wait to try it out myself. Also, I am not a Mercedes fan at all, but this car is so well engineered, considering the age, it will still beat a lot of todays cars on quality and durability.
Hey Arjen, thanks for the support! Really appreciate it! Also thanks for your order, I recognized your name immediately. Your package has been sent out already. Perl is a great product, I’m sure you will like it!
I know im randomly asking but does any of you know of a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the login password. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
@Nash Houston Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
That’s true! The car wasn’t a daily driver and may have been cleaned in the past, not sure. The owner wanted to get it all cleaned up for the new owner. Also for me it was a great opportunity to shoot a video on this.
It's true that engine bay had been cared for over the years. But it's also true that the average Mercedes engine bay respond amazingly well to a good cleaning! One of my projects, was a 6 previous owners, 500€. Pretty beaten up 1998 Mercedes A Class 1.7 CDI. That didn't pass inspection (EU control/MOT) and was about to be ditched on the scrap yard! That 500€ car served me impeccably well for 4 years. Including two long trips across Europe. Unfortunately it was ditched by a ridiculous fault of a 6€ brake pipe! But that's another story... Point being that engine bay literally looked like new! After a simple jet wash and not much more of an intervention. Remarkably it was the easiest engine bay to keep in tip top condition. Always looking surprisingly well with very little effort!
Watching your engine bay detailing made me want to detail my car's engine bay. But it's still snowing in Warren, Michigan, USA. Thank you for the inspiration.
It is very good to see videos like this, what I do not understand is because there are people who watch the video and deslike, if it is not in your interest do not watch. thanks for the video buddy, good job.
Mr V. I gotta say...out of all the enige bay detailing vids ive seen this is now my top tier one...seeing how you took your time with this detail is just magic and the outcome is spectacular...you deserve a Bell's for this my good sir😎
Great video. Your way of cleaning a modern engine is better than using a pressure washer. Sure pressure washer IS faster but we always have to worry about modern electronics 👍
Effective for achieving the top showroom price, but little impact on the long term condition of the vehicle. Drop the sump cover and clean the sump, engine mounts and chassis legs. Clean what you can't see from the engine bay, then treat with quality preservative wax.
Thank you! It’s a Karcher SC4 Premium. I always use an APC and agitate it with a brush before I move on to using the steamer. On surfaces like this I pretty much just keep going till it's free of debris.
Awesome video! And awesome job! Please remember that the hood can open all the way up. You had it in the low position. It can open up so the hood are completely vertical 😉 How do you clean the soundproofing on the hood?
Thanks Jasper! Didn't know that, I'll keep that in mind! I always clean the underside of the hood during the initial wash of the vehicle (which was done the evening before I started working on this). I use MultiX and gently scrub it with a brush.
Nice job, but I don't know why you didn't take the plastic engine cover off and actually clean the top of the engine block, cylinder heads, and intake manifold which has plenty of places for dirt and debris to hide.
@@sebastiangalera5300 both are great products. They are both easy to apply and last equally as long. Sometimes I use EliXir, sometimes I use Bead Maker.
Hi buddy. Love your videos! Would like to ask 2 questions though. 1. Is there a difference between using Multi-X or an OPC/Carpro equivalent degreaser? 2. Any different between the standalone Iron X and Multi X? Thanks!
With all due respect.... everything you wiped-down, easily could & should have been removed from engine for thorough cleaning & proper detailing. A steam & wipe-down from just the top is simply smoke & mirrors. That car deserves better amigo.

@Nash Houston it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my ass!
Magic on a whole other level😎
to start with for a 30 year old car that engine bay was very clean.. it that car was in the uk for 30 years it would of been dirty

I grew up in Warren! 12 and Hoover
This detailing has just made my day... Good job bro.

Very satisfying to watch! Nice work!
Beautifully done!
Your videos are like a work of art. Great job!
Thank you so much!
I have this car and i very like you detailing this engine bay
Keep these old girls comin! Ive got two of those same engine bays! Great work brosephine!
Superb
Very nice videos. I like how it's some music with good editing and then no music. Really like that you don't blast music non-stop.
I’m glad you enjoy this style of editing! Getting the vibes! Thanks for the support!
Great job Mercedes is one of my favorite cars.Love doing engine bays.Stay Safe Stay Healthy
Thanks for the support Mark!
Would love to see cleaning a filthy dirty engine bay.
Agree this was spotless before starting!
Great video. Your way of cleaning a modern engine is better than using a pressure washer. Sure pressure washer IS faster but we always have to worry about modern electronics 👍
Exactly. steam wont harm electronics
Amazing 👏
Great job.
Thank you! I appreciate it!
Do you still need to cover any electrical parts while streaming?
You would have remove the airfilter box and the tubes just unclipsing them. This would permit you a more accurate work.
Thats what i call proper cleaning
If you by chance detailing a Range Rover Sport that would be cool
If i get to detail one soon I’ll make sure to make a video!
Loved thr video for steam cleaning do you still disconnect the battery or do you have to and what is process in prepping
Effective for achieving the top showroom price, but little impact on the long term condition of the vehicle.

A proper treatment for a very honourable classic. Congrats!
Yes yes thank you☀️🤙🏻🤙🏻
I use worx hydroshot and a duster to clean my engine bay after I disconnect the battery and cover the alternator.
Sir what is the steamer Karcher model you using? What is your experience with working time preasure e.t.c? Thanks ....you doing great videos

@@VermijlCarDetail thank you sir for your reasponce. Keep.up your great work
@@Mdetailing I appreciate it! Will do!
Can you also add a dilution ratio for used products like MultiX or Perl?
Sure! Here I used Perl 1:3 and MultiX 1:10
hello can i ask what kind of steam cleaser did you use can I have the link of that product
please ?
Leuke video's man, heb uw golf R detailing video al 4 keer bekeken ondertussen haha.
Haha thanks man! 😁 leuk om te horen!

Deutsche Qualitätsarbeit 👍
👍👍
Super bro👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you my man! ✌️
How long did the engine detail take? Great job
I’m not sure, I was limited in time here as I had to complete the entire project (interior and exterior) in 2 days. I believe it took up to 2 hours.
Nice job, but I don't know why you didn't take the plastic engine cover off and actually clean the top of the engine block, cylinder heads, and intake manifold which has plenty of places for dirt and debris to hide.
What is the exact model of the steam cleaner you are using?
Are you make carpro pearl 1:3?
Come to midwest and clean one lol
Hey, what about ABS block?
All the covers should have been removed for deep cleaning, not just the surface of the engine bay
What spouts are those that you use on the gallon jugs
Those are CARPRO Easy Fill Spouts
You dont even need to wipe steam moisture. It will evaporate fast
Does that steam cleaner get oil and gunk off the engine back to its original state nice vid by the way
Yes it does a pretty good job at removing oil and other types of dirt. Works great in combination with MultiX as I used here. 👍
7:47 what kind of blade is that? How it remove the dirt without damaging the paint?
It's a plastic blade, won't damage the paint when used like that.
Hi! Great job. What is disolution Multi X?
Thank you! For this job it was diluted 1:10.
which is better elixir or beadmaker
@@sebastiangalera5300 both are great products. They are both easy to apply and last equally as long. Sometimes I use EliXir, sometimes I use Bead Maker.
What ratio did you use perl?
I usually dilute Perl 1:3 for engine bays
Waouuuuuh comme neuve 👌
Still could’ve taken this a little further if I had more time, but the new owner was very pleased with the results!
Hello do you sell the accessory we can see at 1:43 ?
Hey man, yes the fill spout is available in our webshop!
@@VermijlCarDetail Thanks for your reply. Love your vids. Thanks for your work
Stream cleaner name ?
Karcher SC4 Easyfix
Как только с конвеера!
Couldn’t stop touching myself the entire vid. Well done. 👍 BTW- did you apply the Perl at full strength? Or was it diluted?
😅 Perl was diluted 1:1
Hi buddy. Love your videos! Would like to ask 2 questions though.
1. Is there a difference between using Multi-X or an OPC/Carpro equivalent degreaser?
2. Any different between the standalone Iron X and Multi X? Thanks!
1. Multi-x is an apc.
2. IronX is a iron remover, MultiX is a all purpose cleaner. Both usage is for different purposes.
Hi what is the steamer make and model you used? Thanks
It’s a Karcher SC4 Premium, had this thing for a while now and still works great!
I use steam only. No cleaners
Steam is only proper was to clean engine. Never use water
Your first mistake is not removing the plastic cover on that 30 year old vehicle. I watched no further.
I thought the idea of steam cleaning was to do it without chemicals, this video seems to defeat that purpose.
Not worth it GTR R32 but....
With all due respect.... everything you wiped-down, easily could & should have been removed from engine for thorough cleaning & proper detailing. A steam & wipe-down from just the top is simply smoke & mirrors. That car deserves better amigo.
dilution for perl you use ?
