@@NeRR2 yep you gotta do whatever makes you comfortable on the bike. If I hadn’t broken my wrist, I probably would’ve never thought to put the suspension fork on but I ride over a lot of rocks and rooty terrain so the rigid fork is kinda harsh on my wrists. I will say that the carbon fork made the front end of the bike very lightweight. Very easy to pick up the front end of the bike. I may put the carbon fork back on for snow riding, we’ll see. Thanks for commenting! I appreciate it
I’m 5.10 and got this exact Farley 5 in size LARGE. The bike is above and beyond my expectations. Super grippy on the fast downhill trails,- fells stable as if it’s on rails. Also riding this Farley is on beach, Bike just keeps going like a tractor through the sand. If you are 5.9 you’d need L size for sure. Correct sizing is where there’s no compromise. Trek now has these Farleys on crazy discount sales. Check Trek website.
Sweet, sweet ride.
LOL I'm tempted to do the opposite - from the RockShox Air that came with my Spec Chisel to carbon rigid! Thanks for sharing, hope you have fun !

Sweet bike
Nice. But why does the fork looks backwards?
@@AhSonnyBoikf that’s how manitou makes them. Not sure why but if you look at all the manitou forks, they all look backwards
@ yeah that’s so weird never seen that.
How tall are you? Local shop has a medium also and I'm 5ft 9inch but it seems little small just looking at it.
@@mikeaze423 hi. I’m 5’6” and it’s a slight bit tall for me but I ride it just fine
@Justagirlthatlovestheforest that a medium?
@@mikeaze423 yes it’s a size medium.
