I could be getting one 2008 model E70 in coming September. Although is a pretty old car now but superb condition with just 50k+ mileage done. It's a bargain. Let's hope it doesn't sell off in September from my local car leader. Finger crossed.
Excellent video. One minor quibble, though: that thing you pointed to was not a head-up display. A head-up display is a projection of vital and peripheral data onto the windshield, or some other transparent screen...like the setup that pilots use. Some of these E70 X5s *did* have the HUD, however. If this X5 had a HUD, it would have had a button to the right of the headlamp-control dial that showed a symbol of a lowercase letter I, connected to a car windshield via a dashed line.
Kyree S. Williams yes, kyree is correct. I drove an x3 with the heads up display and it was really cool. I sort of expected it to be kind of a gimmick, and a fail, but it is actually quite elegantly done. But the center display screen without heads up is just fine, too. I don't really need the navigation much, so i chose to save a couple grand.
Wish you would have spent more detailed time on each feature instead of being all over the place..like the climate control..heated seats? Cooled seats? The buttons above the heated seats is that for cooled seats?Just greater detail would have been nice..or maybe stay on one area longer instead of back and forth..I don't know, guess I'm used to the other reviews on here..I know this is 7 years old and you probably have rounded off the rough edges anyway..
i have a 2011 X5 xDrive35i N55 Engine from 68,500 to 102,000 miles and it is facing many issues tbh since i'm the 2nd owner. The issues that i had and currently in progress are quite a lot. Valve-cover gasket, HPFP, Oil pan gasket, air pneumatic bags, air compressor, radiator and front struts. I may have been unlucky towards the selected vehicle but it does drives really good! With correct maintenance, you'll do good. If you're willing to know more what i've replaced or so do let me know! I'll be happy to tell you what is required to replace!
@@flizz955 the previous owner most likely leased it and treated it poorly, but once you get everything repaired it should run like brand new especially since it only has 102,000 miles. How much did you pay for it?
@@flizz955 hi there. Thanks for your comment. We are looking to buy same make and model for $18,990 with 85k mileage. How is your car so far after you fixed it? And how much did it cost you?
I am thinking of getting a 2012 well maintained X5 35i and am a little concerned about reliability. The water pump, vanos bolt have been done and there are no oil leaks or suspension issues. What has been your experience with the reliability of your X5?
Hey man! Nice review u got there! Very good! Oh and btw I did a review of the X5 and I was wondering if you could give me ur advice on my review! thx in advance and great continuation.
If anyone is interested in just how safe bmw are, search my youtube channel. Someone pulled out in front of me in a 2017 tahoe. I drove right through it at 50mph. I barely got a few scratches. I bought 2 more bmw after that.
+曹晋瑞 Hi, Yes it is exactly what i have been experiencing... when you try to speed up (during the acceleration..) the turbo charge seems to hesitate for about 2 seconds.. i am very sure because the x5 is very heavy 2013 model's weight is 6000 lbs... The best trick to avoid the HESITATION (the hesitation can almost disappear, if you try this: ) as you put pressure on the gas pedal (accelerating...) you can use the PADDLE SHIFTERS ON THE STEERING WHEEL click twice on the right paddle... you can feel the x5 can accelerate smoother.... but you can still feel the heaviness of the x5 speeding up... but much smoother... I think if i can tune the engine up an extra 20 to 50 horse power... this HESITATION problem can be avoid...
S NGUYEN True.U actually can do engine software upgrade by Dinan. Stage 2 will improve around 50 HP and 100lb-ft, but it will coast 1K3USD. I'm thinking to do stage 1 cuz the turbo lag is only in winter time and in fact the acceleration for stock X5 is pretty good for it's size.
+曹晋瑞 Hi again Will you be installing Stage 1 soon?... How much more power can you get from stage 1... please let me know... do you have some shop in Toronto can install it for you... maybe i can come to TO and get it installed too... please give me some advise when you have it done... Thank you so much for your time
S NGUYEN hi there. i'm consider doing it, it's really depends on whether or not im gong to buy a new car next year. for more detail of that you can check online in there official website. i dont think they list stage1 online but i believe they can do it you can call them for checking.and for the location i think they have few shop near toronto. good luck!!! if you have spare money and want to keep the car i suggest you do it.

Owned a 2013 X5 xDrive35i. Good ride but needed a lot of work. Now with a 2017 X5 xDrive35i nearly fully loaded. Runs smooth like silk, love it.
Love this vehicle ! I bought one myself in 2021 and best decision i’ve ever done. a real machine
I know it's kinda off topic but do anybody know of a good website to watch newly released tv shows online ?

+Kyree S. Williams That does look like a HUD, as far as automobiles are concerned at least. I stand to be corrected though.
