This tutorial was fantastic! I thought it was clear and concise. I've only just started with photography and edited. I'm very excited to start getting creative!!!!
I watched several videos on how to do this for a specific project and this was by far the most helpful, it was well explained but not too wordy so I could understand and follow along easily. This made it so simple I can't thank you enough.
he killed it!!! I love how all the double exposure are very serious faces like yeah humans are so cool. I bet those people are thinking about really profound things hahahahah give me a break.

Definitely amazing job and thanks for it. I learned double exposure somehow. But I don't understand some of the details, especially about different backgrounds or the order of backgrounds.
I learned photoshop in college at Photoshop 1.5 or so and throughout my career have basically been self-taught in PS. While I've been shooting professionally for 16 years, I haven't kept up on my photoshop skills past basic retouching. I've never used 'create clipping mask' to limit the adjustment to the layer below it. Some of the work you did starting at the 5:50 mark is really helpful too
I know the feeling Matthew. I am constantly learning from others. Photoshop is a very powerful tool and it takes years to understand every command or procedure to achieve a certain look. I am happy that my content helped you and I hope to see you around soon! Have a great Monday!
Hi. I have two questions for you. 1. Where do you find your photos? 2. Do you do book covers for others that are not as creative as yourself? P.S. Great video, very helpful.
Hi Katrina, thanks for getting in touch :) 1. Sometimes I use my own photos. I am a stock photographer and you can find my portfolio here: shutterstock.com/g/jaycriss When I'm not using my own photos I purchase them from stock agencies like Bigstockphoto for example. 2. I am not sure I understand it 100%. Hit me up on Twitter so we can chat about it. twitter.com/eyestocker
I tried this and my background didn’t turn white it’s stil checkerd white and grey. I didn’t use the pen tool. I prefer the quick selection. Why isn’t my background turning white when I hit solid color?

Wow, that’s great! Thanks for leaving a reply here!
quick selection tool is my favorite but only because I'm lazy and impatient :D When I really want something done right, I also use Pen tool
the quick selection tool is good when I'm in a hurry and I want to see how the final image would look like, so you're right :)
The colour grading took it to the next level!!!
Agree with you my friend!
Just learned more in 10 min than I did in 6 months of college. Fantastic tutorial.
Thanks!
Pen tool is always the best for making selections, if you want a clean sharp selection, it takes time, but is the best
