Perfect tutorial !! you didn't just hit buttons but explained the function of each layer and effect that way a beginning artist can begin to apply these concepts to other things they create besides this. My double exposure turned out great!!
This is the best video I have come across on how to do this! I have been doing this style the hardest possible way for years now, so thank you for this tutorial!!
Some great tips in this one. Really like how you simplify things yet teach a lot at the same time. It has been a huge help for me to start getting more creative with my photography
Im amazed of the people that says its complicated, dont be like that please, you are learning, its not gonna be a 2 minute tutorial, if you wanna do something good with no effort then find something that fits with that, if you want to learn, be patient, the new information its hard to process but if you are disposed to do something, in most cases its not gonna be easy but it worth the time. Sorry if my english is not that good and have a nice day.
A little multiple exposure history: I was inspired by the works of Jerry Uelsmann and other early masters. I did thousands of double exposures on film in the 90s. I'm retiring from a commercial photography career and going back to my roots in fine art photography. I'm developing digital methods for recreating my old film looks. I would shoot two sheets of B&W 4X5 sheet film of the first exposure. Then develop one and use it as a guide choosing the second exposure. The second exposure would be much more prominent in dark areas. I also used two enlargers and made multiple exposure darkroom prints. Those experiences did teach me to see the possibilities, but I would not want to go back to film!
Thank you for your tutorial! Great learning tool for making film posters! Could please you do more tutorials on how to use a picture and turn it to a movie poster like you see when advertising for future films posters for the cinema? I.e techniques of manipulations, colour changes etc to create a film poster with of 1 or several pictures. I always wander how they are made and if it is difficult to do with photoshop....Happy new new year!
Thanks Kelvin, I did learn a few good tips here and love this effect. It is a little more complicated than just blending two images together. Fun to try tomorrow, thanks for all your tutorials and have a great New Year in 2017!
Dude... You need (like need need need) to change that intro line. We can figure out why you call it Kelvin Designs. You're stuff is great, but that is just terrible. Just trying to help a brotha out.
Once I'd figured out that you were using a PC (just basic courtesy that would have saved some time and frustration) and that you're not giving direction as to what you're clicking for people who are not as advanced as others, I got so far but then had to give up as it got too complicated and it just wasn't working for me. Obviously I was doing something wrong, but it seemed to me you're targeting the more advanced users when really this sort of thing can and should be for everyone. Sorry, will be unsubscribing until I learn more.
I got a exam tomorrow and needed to do something like this ty - saved me
Wow I was not expecting it to be that complex. Nice work BTW.
