Do you use multiple pencils for one drawing? I want to get into drawing, but idk what makes the biggest difference, the lead or the pencil? Btw love your work!
Graphgear 500 is better than the Graphgear 1000. Best pencil for line work when drawing/sketching and a hell of a writer too!! Gg1000, is only good for Technical drawing, sucks for writing and I don't like it fopr free drawing. It also has a ton of issues, from the unstable tip, to the short life it lives..

Buy something cheap if you are starting to draw because no matter how good the pencil is it won't make a difference if you do not know how to draw in the first place. When you get better at drawing then you can consider upgrading the tools you use. But if you buy fancy pencils thinking that they are going to magically grant you the ability to draw then you are going to be disappointed. If you want to get better at drawing then draw a fucking lot.

I do. I sketch and shade with hb lead and then use 2b for the dark areas
