Speed o guide clipper guards

- I do like to use them but you MUST know and understand them. I haven’t used them a whole lot lately because I haven’t made the time to truly know the sizes. BUT, I’m considering using them again because number one; they’re good, and for me they’ve always done a good job. Number two, I’m trying to minimize my tools, I have too much stuff which results with me being very unorganized and that’s a big problem if you’re trying to be the best. Number three; for me it’s very convenient when your guards fit ANY of your clippers. The fact that Wahl vs Andis and Oster require two different clippers guard attachments sucks and usually results in me only using either my Wahls or my Andis. I much prefer using both at any given moment. I rarely use my Andis Masters or Oster Fast Feeds because of this fact that it requires me to pull out another set of guards, which will have my work station looking like a disaster with almost 20 guards all over the place- now a bigger mess to clean. Last thing I’ll mention, now you have the fact that Andis purple magnet guards have two different sets, the single magnetic guards vs. the double magmatic guards, and from what I hear, the doubles are significantly better, but they don’t fit on certain clippers. What a headache.
Very helpful!! Thank you bro I’ve been thinking about investing in these guards
Thnx man I tried. This out finally!!! using the 1 guard wahl to connect 00 to O speed o guards ...
I stared out with those in 2011, then I switched to Andis purple magnetic guards in 2017.
Speed o Guides are great. I feel I get a better and quicker blend when using them.
So Is the 0 a 1&1 half guard or a one Wahl guard equalvent?
I still solely use Speed O Guides because of the more teeth. It’s funny, I never knew they didn’t have a number one guard. Lol. But it’s the only consistent system I use that works on all my clippers. Only need one set of guards not 3 or 4.
So does the #0 speedo guard cut closer then a Wahl 1 1/2 but longer then a Wahl #1 guard?
Can you make a video fading with them please
That 00 is like a 1/2 guard?
Yes, exactly.
@@johnboy4016 thanks, so what about the difference on sizes? I mean the wahl 1/2 guard is so much smaller than the speed o guide 1/2 guard does it make a diference when cutting hair?
But still, it’s always good to put the guard side by side with another one different company and compare.
9496juan , sorry for the late reply. They are supposed to be almost the same. The 00 and the wahl 1/2 guard are both supposed to be 1/16”. But the Wahl says 1.5mm. I believe the speed guide says 1.6mm. BUT, I still like to line them up side by side and get a visual and confirm for the simple fact that it does get confusing sometimes. There’s so many factors. Compare a Wahl and SpeedGuide, the 000 actually looks like Wahls 1/2 guard. The ultimate trick is to get the speedguides and just use them for a while. But make sure you DO get a #1 of some sort since the speeds don’t have it, or should I say a 1/8th guard.
Sorry to bother you would you do quick neck taper with these to show us your method?
Nice video. Many barbers use the speedo guards 0 Like 3/16 wahl
which is better speed 0 guide or wahl premium?
Do they fit the Oster fast feed clippers?
Yea they do
Do these fit on wahl clippers????
Yes
SO DO YOU EVEN USE THE 000
Brook Y. Mesfin, lately I haven’t been using my speed guides but when I do use them, yes I do. On a skin fade, I’ll make a zero line, half line, and blend. After that I’ll use the 000 with the clippers open and raise the half line a touch so I can blend into the number 1 easier.
The only thing is I have to use a Wahl guard #1 since the speeds don’t really have one.
@@johnboy4016 Do you think they will fit babyliss?
doodlen, most likely bc I know Wahl guards fit Babyliss and Speeds fit Wahl.
This video was long for no reason
