Im 51 yrs old and still gaming. I have the SD, rog ally and the legion go. SD can go for hrs with older games but struggles with more recent AAA games(FPS). The rog ally is awesome with great interface but has a short battery life and the legion go is the best of both worlds(with the latest driver updates😂😂). It also has a bigger screen that helps me see better😂😂
Well, for me, my legion Go is much more superior than Steam deck. But it depends on what you are using. I would not give it away for any steam deck, since I can use it for all my needs as a desktop and gaming device
yeah, Steamdeck is all about Steam. Legion Go is more versatile. Only downside is the Windows. But on the other hand it's also a plus, can do everything u do in ur normal windows pc
I chose the Steam Deck Oled!! The true contrast, HDR, and better battery life, sealed the deal for me. If I wanted to play triple AAA games with high fps, I would do so on my desktop PC that's plugged into my 4k Oled TV.
I returned my 1tb OLED Deck for the Legion Go. Super satisfied. We all have our likes and considerations. Happy Gaming all, its a fantastic time to be a gamer.
@@christopherjones7198I got the Oled the first day it dropped, was on the fence between the legion go and SD. So happy I went with my steam deck! It’s so useful. I honestly game the most now on it.
If you are contemplating to buy at this point, imo, getting the cheaper device was a no brainer. Steam Deck OLED can handle all games I want to play and will play that's in my backlog. By the time that's been exhausted, a significant time has passed. I would've been able to save by that time for an upgrade and the new flashy 2nd gen or 3rd gen handhelds would be available.
I recently bought a 512g oled SD and absolutely loving it! But when windows get better in the hand-held market i will be buying 1. Loving the hand-held race atm!
I already bought a SD OLED but I enjoy watching review videos to see little things about my SD I might not know. Great video. Great review of both. I almost bought a Legion Go but I have 600 games on steam. And tons of other reviews pushed me towards the SD.
Hey! I just wanted to share my thoughts about both hand helds! I had the regular lcd steam deck that i have gotten rid of because i had a hard time making out games with the smaller lettering and i just got the legion go and im absolutely inlove with it. But thats the main reason why i switch to the legion go was the better screen! But glad your enjoying the steam deck!
I have both a Steam Deck and Legion Go, and honestly they situations in which I play them are different.. I mostly use my Steam Deck when I’m out of the house or travel for work. But if I’m at home I use my Legion Go almost exclusively.
For anyone guessing which one to get. My 2 cents. The only two things I would really like to change in my LeGo are: 1. the edges are a bit rough indeed, my palms really do feel it with longer sessions 2. and I would really appreciate being able to put my games to sleep. I have to save, close the game and switch off my device. Everything else is better in LeGo.
Lol, i am getting older and do have bad eyes, so the legion is awesome for me. Also the extra usbc is a major selling point , i like to play using my ar glasses, and to be able to charge at the same time is awesome. That said, that's me, as long as you are happy with your purchases game on man !
I love the legion go actually despite what other commenters think! 😂 but I’m happy you found a handheld that fits your needs and that’s all that matters!
I don’t know but I have the SD oled and when I got the legion go I was expecting it to weigh slot more and honestly doesn’t feel any heavier in my opinion
I’m gonna go for legion go because steam deck is limited for game not all game work on steam deck and the battery of legion go is dependent on which game u playing so most of my play is gonna be light weight game like skull : the hero slayer and hades and they not heavy games so they will not drain my battery
Those dual trackpads, mappable buttons, insane battery life & OLED screen is what's gluing me with Steam deck. I play PC when I'm at home. I use my steam deck when I am away so battery life is a big deal for my use case. Also that trackpad is great for point and click games like rimworld and the precise aiming when using the trackpad on FPS games. I don't need more performance for my steam library because most of my games are low graphics indie games. 1. Rimworld 2. Project Zomboid 3. Songs of Syx 4. KeeperRL 5. Dead Cells 6. Don't starve 7. Kenshi 8. Binding of Isaac Etc. So more battery life please valve.
Bought the OLED Steam Deck. Returned it the next day. Bought the Legion Go and I’ve been enjoying it more than the Steam Deck. GPU is fast. Larger display. Higher refresh rates. Runs Windows instead of Linux. Built-in kickstand. RGB what’s not to love lol. In all seriousness the Legion Go is a solid choice. Been happy since day one of owning.
No offense but not a great comparison lol. You used a Steam deck for less than a day but find the Legion superior that you have been using for a long time.
@@rockaf3lla78 yea, seems like made up BS, the thing that sold me on the steam deck was how intuitive Steam OS was, it's just so much better than windows for gaming, I could neve go back to windows, it feels so obsolete in comparison
Legion Go all the way. I had the Original steam deck but sold it. I have a GPD win 3 , GPD Win 4 Gen 1 and a Legion Go. I love the Legion Go. The mods that you can do are awesome along with other things. This handheld has a lot of potential that I can make use of.
Huh? You know you can install Win 10 / Win 11 on the SD right? and there's Heroic launcher download built into Steamos that allows you to play all the other games on it like Ubisoft or Epic game store.
Pretty much. If you are buying it to obly play steam deck, it's an easy choice for the steam deck. If you are going to playing ANYTHING ELSE or do anything else with it, the Legion Go is the one to get. And like the video said, you can't even play all of your steam games on the steam deck.
Just got the SD OLED last week and its great, my biggest downside is the controller layout, would prefer the xbox style the other handhelds have. Other than that Ive been shocked by how well things look and play on this thing, emulation is amazing.
Got my Legion Go on sale for $499. So much happier with it over the Steam Deck, but I am pretty computer savvy. So I made Windows as minimal as possible and it runs like a dream. I stream games from my Gaming PC all the time.
I do not particularly enjoy SteamOS. So I'm considering selling a LCD steam deck and getting a Lenovo Legion go either with win 10 or a different Linux like KaOS or Fedora since I quite frankly use it exactly as a PC just with the convenience of being able to transport it easy if it's needed like a new apartment or being overseas. I'd rather not carry a huge heavy computer. The monitor is already a ultra wide so yeah.
You could set steam to open in big picture mode you could also setup desktop config in steam so it acts pretty similarly. Still running windows with all of its compatibility
I have both the Rog Ally and the Steam Deck… I love an Oled screen on SD it gets sooooooooo bright especially during a game session at night!!! And I love it. I play battlefield 4 and 1 on it, Dead Space and Cyberpunk and I love it. Some games suck on Deck but most of the just an eye candy to me. Selling my ROG Ally after I get a drifting stick replaced.
How do you not have a problem with doing "tricks" on the steam deck to get windows, epic etc. But have a problem with every little legion issue. Even though the legion can do this "out of the box". This is just weird
Because it’s completely optional to do that! I don’t necessarily have an issue with the legion. It’s more like I appreciate the console like experience of the deck more. I don’t have a problem with every little legion issue. I just find The legions issues to be distractions from gaming. Which the deck has very little and is more streamlined. You turn it on your see your game library you hit play. But you do bring up a good point of the legion being able to do all that out of the box and that is very valid and that’s a good reason to choose the legion if most of your games are not on Steam but most of mine are on Steam epic games and other launchers are just bonuses.
I'm seriously conflicted between these two. I own an OLED LG CX 65" With i7-11700kf/RTX 3080/32GB pc, so fairly on the entry level of high end pc gaming, since I run most games at 4k resolutions at high settings. I want a handheld console, not so much for on the go, but for being able to kick back in my bed, or use it around the house, so I can keep it plugged in at all times. The OLED is nice, but resolution is such a huge thing. I noticed the difference immediately when I upgraded resolutions from 1080, to 1440, to 4k when gaming and felt I couldn't go back. So I'm torn between the 800 vs 1600 resolution and the FPS in games. So my question is, can you really not tell the difference between 1600 and 800 resolutions? And how much of an FPS are we talking between the two? Most recent games I've played are Dragons Dogma 2, Helldivers 2, Palworld, but I think if I got a handheld, I would focus on more games like Hades, D2R or D4 (if they are capable of it), but maybe even cyberpunk or others. Which one do you recommend if you can make sense of this post?
Between 7.4' 800p SD OLED vs 8.8' 1600p LCD, I would opt for the LG as you're already biased with the resolution of your current system and windows OS knowledgeable. With Linux OS, you'll have to tweak, etc to get all different apps to run such as Xbox, Epic etc
I bought Legion Go at launch in 2023 because of big screen and is more suitable for laptop and desktop usage than the others. Legion Go is the only hybrid.
The Legion Go wins hands down, and I rarely pick up my OLED SteamDeck anymore. Every time I turn on the SteamDeck it wants to perform GB of updates to the same old games, making it unusable for an hour or so. It’s so bad it renders it useless. No such issue on the Legion Go, plus a bigger screen is awesome.
Gigabytes of updates? for old games? shouldn't be possible unless its live service games with weekly updates, the same games on ur legion u gonna have the same GB of updates. + the wifi / download speed difference should be very close too (unless ur saving them to the sd card on one). otherwise i could be a drive defects & its losing data on reboot. Everyone can have their own opinion - as long ur happy go for it, some love the ally - some will love the msi claw even when it already screams for a failure of a product.
Bro you literally just have to leave it on for a bit. You acting like it's some terrible things to wait for a bit. You saying the go doesn't have updates??
I tried SD but it wasn’t good enough for most games. My favorite game RD2 even struggles to run on the SD. I returned SD and ordered Legion Go. I will see if it’s good enough.
@@cl3917 Yeah red dead redemption 2. It’s no bueno on steam deck or at least for me. It crashes after one hour of gameplay and I tried everything to fix it but failed. I had to return it unfortunately. I guess handhelds aren’t for me lol.
@@cl3917 Oh the legion go never came cause I cancelled the order. Steam deck made me hate all the handheld devices lol. Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful :(
@@Pyromane5890 how's that, I'm using a lesser LCD Version steam deck with a external SSD that has Windows 10 on it coupled with a ultra wide monitor at a dock with mouse and keyboard and I'm perfectly alright with it for the past year or so. Been playing battlefield 1 and killing floor 2 and the performance is godly. I'm thinking of getting a Lenovo Legion go to be able to play the new games eventually.
Frame generation technology can allow basically anything to run these days. It’s mostly how it looks & feels to you more then it runs natively. There are programs that will cause it to run better.
I still can't decide which one to buy, but the higher probability of drifting in the SD may be a deal breaker; i just can't see myself doing the labour of replacing them.
Thanks for the video! Sounds like the steam deck is the one for me. I’m at a point in life where I can’t (and don’t want) to sit I front of a $1600 gaming rig in my room getting sweaty from the heat being generated by my rig. I’m a casual gamer these days and I gravitate towards story driven and indie games. I don’t need the best specs and I won’t be using this 6 hours a day either. I like the idea of a dedicated OS where I can just pick up the deck and play an hour of a game and put it down without having to think about it much. Steam deck just sounds more in line with what I’m looking for.
Bit late to this to this. But you sure left out some features that the legion has. Seems somewhat biased towards the SD. For example you can absolutely have that console UI. In fact it is part of the Legion. Also running windows gives you many options to get more out of the system. Now I’m not bagging on the SD and would recommend it for someone who basically wants little room for adjustment. Where the Legion seems to be more of something a PC gamer would want. Though that is just how I feel.
You bring up some good points, to be honest I was very overwhelmed at the time of writing. At the time of writing this I was just shocked how much I enjoyed the steam deck experience. I had never owned one before and had only been gaming on the legion go. If by console Ui you mean legion space, then at the time of writing this it was a complete MESS lol like it was laggy buggy and difficult to navigate. But yes you can use big picture mode on steam but it still requires steps to get in there. I’m actually currently writing my legion go 1 year review so I will be addressing a lot of this stuff in there. But my opinion has changed a good amount. But lastly yes windows is both a good and bad thing depending on the users wants and needs especially.
You lost me at the resolution argument. Yea, the OLED is gorgeous but the difference in resolution is immediately obvious in person. I don’t have a Legion personally but on my ROG Ally even 900p was noticeably sharper than my SD let alone 1080p. On the LeGo I assume one you choose something like 1200p as a compromise between visual fidelity and battery life.
For me, the main point of things like the switch or steam deck in playing games on the go, it's being able to play games not on your tv. I have a lot (and I mean like 80%) of down time in my office at work and I like to play games during this time. The switch/steamdeck allows me to do this discreetly. I can play my games and when someone stops by my office I can just pause and throw it in my desk drawer. I couldn't do that with an xbox or gaming laptop.
If I need my battery to last longer, I use my steam deck. If I want an all around better gaming experiance, I use my Go. If battery is not an issue, I would probably never use my Steamy Ds.
I was very much on the fence between these two devices and ended up ordering the steam deck oled. As much as i enjoy multiplayer shooters that don't run on it, I feel like those games are going to generally be more enjoyable at my desk with a keyboard and mouse anyway. I really thought about my use case for a handheld and as nice as the detachable controllers, kickstand, and fps mode sound, I really don't see myself getting much use out of those features when I'm primarily going to be using it while chilling on the couch. So I'll probably be mainly using it for single player titles and indies. Legion Go can do all that too of course, but from what I've seen the ergonomics when not taking advantage of the detachable controllers would be something I'd worry about, especially with the extra weight. Not to mention the headaches that can come with Windows.
Legion go is my dream mahcine, the real all in one the real do it all. Handheld, tablet, desktop, console... I mean almost, I'm just missing an OLED/HDR capeable screen for it... Somewhen I made my desktop pc to boot into Steam Big Picture instantly, disabeling explorer.exe even, so it was like an instant console. I/we/you could do that with Legion and boom, there you have it!! I just restarted explorer.exe when I wanted windows features or browse files, otherwise I just added mostly use exes (latter also) as non steam games to steam so that I could open them from BP mode. Plus, I'm sure Steam OS will be avaible to be installed to basically all handhelds/pcs soon!!
The Legion Go is just too big for me. I’d get a gaming laptop if that’s what I was after. I returned my Ally because it felt clunky, cheap and was a hassle to use overall and i hated needing to be plugged in to power to get the most out of it. If I want to play demanding games I play on my home rig or one of my consoles. Handheld gaming should be pick up and go imo. The deck is the perfect sweet spot for me. I also despise windows, and I am an IT.
I personally want the GO because of that bigger screen detachable controllers and basically use it as a portable computer that can play games handheld when i want to. My steam deck LCD does do this but the OLED is just not an exciting upgrade for me from my LCD version. Detach the controllers dock it with a mouse and keyboard and its a unique portable windows 11 experience.
That’s very fair! Really is no wrong choice here tbh we all have different opinions and value different aspects of handhelds! Hope you enjoy your legion go!
What I liked about the legion go is that removing the controller and hold it in portrait, you will have a windows 11 tablet. Not the best tablet but functional to do some light work. Also I noticed setting the vram manually in the bios instead of auto helps with frame time pacing. You will lose a Chunk of the ram, so I debloated the win 11 to free more ram.
i couldn’t see the difference between the base steam deck screen and the oled so i returned the olded, and sold my steam deck & am waiting to get a legion go. got rid of the deck because gta is no longer compatible pretty much all the games i enjoy keep going in and out of compatibility on the deck so sadly it was time to let it go.
i had an oled switch and tuned the legion go screen to almost as goon as the switch with emulated games. i sold the switch not long after that as the go is much more versatile. if the oled steam deck's only trick is the oled screen then i would choose the Go over it any day as the go has a really good screen even if it isn't oled.
Excuse me but I don’t want a kit stand built in on the steam deck. 1% of the people will use it on like 1% their play time. The rest will never use that. With the destacable controllers kinda makes more sense but without them what’s the point?
How's ps3 emulation on it? My primary motivation is to play lots of ps3 and xbox360 games on it and elden ring at 60. Can the sd oled handle it? How about integer scaling?
@@naavidmorshed5516that 30 Fps gonna feel smooth as heaven as it is a 3x multiplier from the Refresh rate also 40-45 Fps frame lock is highly recommended for High-Low-Medium(High Render Distance lighting and shadow Details,Low Graphics Preset,Medium preset on other priority settings) On AAA Games
I have the SD OLED right now with all God of war games installed with emulation. They all work perfectly. And it's awesome because I've never owned a PlayStation and I thought I would never get to enjoy the games like this. Sooooo cool.
Well i ve both devices (the steam "lcd" and lenovo legion go) since i upgraded from steam deck lcd to lenovo legion go but nowdays dont really used the lenovo that much for gaming anymore.. infact its become my dially drivers for me to work and do other stuff.. so i kinda ditch the controller since it's make it more convenient to carry around and once at office and home i just docked it to monitors so i back to using my steam deck lcd to play a quick game session just before sleep and to be honest i found it kinda weird for me to enjoying it a little bit more playing quick games on the smaller screen .... I dont know its just feel right. Idk why...
I’m planning to do the same as you cuz I found that Legion is on sale on best buy aroun 500$. Currently I owned an LCD Steam Deck and still wondering on sell it to get the Go
@leetinho07 well i dont know about what u do for living and ur life style but im 26 currently and im not that hardcore of a gamer my self currently so i just play games casually for 1 maybe 2 hours before asleep (currently im playing farcry6).. and for work i only do office works so im only using Microsoft office and a proprietary accounting software from my company so a legion go is kinda an overkill but since i alrady have it why not...
For games like that the oled works better bcs of the battery life but if you really want the better fps you can go for the go. But personally for those type of games i think oled plays better overall
Steam deck is a better overall experience for me. Legion is annoying. Finding drivers and dealing with windows crashing all the time really got on my nerves. If you need to play COD on the go.. than maybe the legions issues are worth it. But if you don't play COD or EAs crappy games, and want a smoother, game on the go experience: get a steam deck oled. You won't be sorry.
You can D ride the steamdeck to the cervix all day, but I can't even play games I LOVE like DragonBall FighterZ online on the Steamdeck, and as much as I respect Linux it's a hard pass for me. You can dual boot operating systems anyway.
I own a steam deck, linux is a pain in the arse. Going to sell it for a legion go. Regret not getting a more powerful windows based handheld. People saying steam deck is better don't really know what they are talking about, yeah its nice to play verified games, but try play something with anti-cheat or thats not verified. Pure nightmare.
Can Game Pass be installed on the desktop side and then played? I ask because I’m considering the SD OLED as well as ROG Ally, and am trying to decide. Have been leaning towards SD so far. Thanks!
You have to dual boot windows to run it natively. Technically you can run gamepass, but only the cloud version of it. Which YMMV depending on wifi conditions lol
All you need is Emu Deck and a small workaround with internet explorer and you will have access to every single game you want from whatever platform you have access to.
You can dual boot a complete version on the LCD on the oled steam deck you still can dual boot but there are no speaker drivers so you would need to use headphone while you use windows. Still people are working on a driver for the speakers and it will be there but in time, till than you can always use the cloud version of game pass, tho it only looks good if you don't play really fast moving games, persona 3 reload looked amazing while yakuza looked blurry for me.
Steam deck is way better for emulation than legion go. I mean emu deck and emulation station are basically designed to work with steam. For emulation it's no brainer really.
bro says, "the steam deck looks less gamer" (all the plastic, fake circuitry, off putting ORANGE buttons)...cmon man...I prefer the steam deck but the legion looks 10x classier.
I’m sorry but the resolution is an issue on the steam deck OLED. Maybe not for emulation. But 800p compared to something like 1200/1600p is very noticeable.
To each their own I guess. I did like the crisp screen on the ally but ended up returning it in favor for the steam deck. The 800p resolution doesn’t bother me on a screen that small
False narrative bro, the oled deck dose not obliterate the Legion goes display, Legions display is amazing hands down the best on the market. Bigger and more power is the best that separates the two devices.
@@KillerCam1020 Bro, that battery life shit is dumb, just hook up your brick and play you will never run out of battery life, which I use a 100w brick, major fast charging and I don't have a problem with battery life.
That's sad. Legion is the best, not even close i can name a list why it's better i think steam deck is over price small screen a big one you can't remove the controller no fps mods not higher res the screen is pretty but not enough but im glad people different hand held
I actually think you are crazy. Games like elden ring, black myth wukong, enshrouded, No rest for the wicked, shit pretty much every game I own works better, looks better, and gets double the performance. Maybe this video is old. But the legion DESTROYS the SD OLED. I must say though, the steam deck is an amazing machine. My fist PC and the machine that introduced me to steam. I do still love it.
Yes the video is a bit old. But not everything is about power to me personally. There’s a lot more to these 2 devices than power. I personally wasn’t expecting to like the steam deck oled when I first got it. I go over this in my review of it. But I loved the convenience aspect of it. You’d be surprised at what it’s capable of. Yes it does get DESTROYED by every windows handheld in power. But it makes up for it in so many ways. My objective wasn’t to impose my POV on others but to share my experience and help people decide for themselves what is right for them since we all value different aspects differently.
@@KillerCam1020 That's fair. And I am aware of the convenience and console-like experience that the deck offers. Like I said it was my first, and I still love it. But I just can't see myself or anyone else that has the opportunity to try both systems choosing the SD over the LLG. I do agree it is much easier to pick up a Steam Deck vs. ANY other HHPC. But easier just isn't better. The only way I would recommend the Deck over the LLG is if it is some one coming straight from console with no PC experience. Because honestly if I hadn't started with the SD, I think the LLG would have been too overwhelming. In the end I guess it's a situational thing, on what HHPC to start with. Thanks for the debate. Twas interesting. Sorry for calling you crazy. I didn't mean it literally.
@@vonbrendt01because a lot of us prefer to play AAA demanding games on our PCs, ps5 or series x on a 4K or OLED display. A handheld is supposed to be play on the go for me. Also as an IT, I despise windows.
@@urboijash3955 Also a fair point. I guess I am just so blown away by the pretty substantial difference in playability and performance that I got a little exited. Your wrong on the Xbox games pass not working for Steam deck.i have a 1TB steam deck anti glare oled. I have Xbox game pass & PlayStation game pass aswell.
I still can’t believe this kid told people they can’t install gamepass when it’s been done for years now on the regular Steam OS. It only takes several minutes to do
All those reviewers sugarcoating the steam deck. I also have it but i hate the compatibility problems. Starting games on epic games or other launchers is a pain the ass. Anti cheat games don't work. It doesn't support FMV so I can't play KH games. Simplest things in windows are a hassle to do in Linux. I put Windows on it and that's how I'm using it. Next time I'll go with a windows handheld.
That’s fair, there’s no handheld that is designed for everyone. But man windows needs to design an XboxOS similar to SteamOS I feel like that would sell a lot of the steam deck crowd on a windows handheld.

Windows missed so much. They should be releasing windows dedicated to gaming.
For anyone guessing which one to get. My 2 cents. The only two things I would really like to change in my LeGo are:
1. the edges are a bit rough indeed, my palms really do feel it with longer sessions
2. and I would really appreciate being able to put my games to sleep. I have to save, close the game and switch off my device.
Everything else is better in LeGo.
Holy cow! I’ve had my OLED Deck for 6 months and never knew about the 2-in-1 case!!!
I will go for Legion Go. The all around handheld gaming console with pc specs... All around devices legion best choice.
Really? I felt the weight difference immediately, but mostly felt during longer play sessions where i held both longer
It really doesn't.

Legion go is the most immersive with that screen to performance ratio. The oled is a phenomenal device to.
Agreed 100% planning to do a solo review of the Legion Go soon for its 1 year birthday
1. Rimworld
2. Project Zomboid
3. Songs of Syx
4. KeeperRL
5. Dead Cells
6. Don't starve
7. Kenshi
8. Binding of Isaac
Etc.
So more battery life please valve.
I love my Ally, but I'm still very tempted to get the Steam Deck OLED just for the screen alone!

Legion is where it’s at. If you can’t play all your games on the steam deck then why bother?
Huh? You know you can install Win 10 / Win 11 on the SD right? and there's Heroic launcher download built into Steamos that allows you to play all the other games on it like Ubisoft or Epic game store.
Price
Pretty much. If you are buying it to obly play steam deck, it's an easy choice for the steam deck. If you are going to playing ANYTHING ELSE or do anything else with it, the Legion Go is the one to get. And like the video said, you can't even play all of your steam games on the steam deck.
Maybe not everyone plays AAA games on their handhelds? Just a guess.
Can both run emulator gaming?
Just got the SD OLED last week and its great, my biggest downside is the controller layout, would prefer the xbox style the other handhelds have. Other than that Ive been shocked by how well things look and play on this thing, emulation is amazing.
You will get used to the layout, I did, and I still play on xbox, it's actually really good once you get used to it
I’m the opposite. PlayStation controller layout feels better to me as I have been a ps console player for years.
Got my Legion Go on sale for $499. So much happier with it over the Steam Deck, but I am pretty computer savvy. So I made Windows as minimal as possible and it runs like a dream. I stream games from my Gaming PC all the time.
FYI, you can also install the windows O.S on the Steam Deck
I sold my steam deck n bought legion go now i am rethinking about my decision. I want steam deck due to its OS.
I feel you. I have never been so confused while buying a piece of tech. It's just like every opion has its pros and cons and I can't choose
Came from steam deck to legion go. To have a steam os on legion go u can just set setting to start in big picture mode.
I think this is the real deciding factor for me. Windows 11 is poop
Funny you mention that because I’m actually currently writing an Ally X vs Steam Deck OLED video!
I traded my Steam Deck Oled for a Legion Go! Wish I did it a while ago.
@@KillerCam1020low-key trashed RUclipsr. Steam paying you or something?
@@KillerCam1020can you type a worse comment than this my friend
But the video guy said he prefers the SD.
Hey, that’s totally valid! This is just my opinion and you can’t go wrong with either choice :)
I'm holding off till the MSI claw gets released before I spend my money. I want to see what the Intel Core Ultra 7-155H has to offer in a handheld.
Will be reviewing that next! Excited to try it out!
The MSI claw unfortunately is a piece of garbage
The claw is junk

Not worried about kickstands ever, that's what the cases are for. It's a handheld while it's nice to have one it's not missed
I tried SD but it wasn’t good enough for most games. My favorite game RD2 even struggles to run on the SD. I returned SD and ordered Legion Go. I will see if it’s good enough.
RD2 as in Red Dead? I'd love to hear if it works on the LeGo once you get it!
@@cl3917 Yeah red dead redemption 2. It’s no bueno on steam deck or at least for me. It crashes after one hour of gameplay and I tried everything to fix it but failed. I had to return it unfortunately. I guess handhelds aren’t for me lol.

Bought the Lenovo go, my eyes really appreciate the screen size.
I just can't get used to wearing glasses. (44 years old)
I am usually not one to leave any sort of negative comments... but this is just 11:10 of cope for buyers remorse ☠️☠️☠️
Legion go is an amazing device
This video definitely convinced me to buy a Legion Go.
The nintene switch size joysticks on the legion go is a deal breaker for me and also the small scream on the steam deck
And I also think the size of your hand matters as well legion go is for tall guys and steamdeck are for my short kings
The recent bios update helped performance as well
i couldn’t see the difference between the base steam deck screen and the oled so i returned the olded, and sold my steam deck & am waiting to get a legion go. got rid of the deck because gta is no longer compatible pretty much all the games i enjoy keep going in and out of compatibility on the deck so sadly it was time to let it go.
i had an oled switch and tuned the legion go screen to almost as goon as the switch with emulated games. i sold the switch not long after that as the go is much more versatile. if the oled steam deck's only trick is the oled screen then i would choose the Go over it any day as the go has a really good screen even if it isn't oled.
I agree with you, the friend who dragged your video to the end to see which one won.😂😂😅
Excuse me but I don’t want a kit stand built in on the steam deck. 1% of the people will use it on like 1% their play time. The rest will never use that. With the destacable controllers kinda makes more sense but without them what’s the point?

Why would you want to dual boot? With access to steam, plus a smidging of emudeck You can pretty much play every game out there.
You don’t have to dual boot!! Are you serious? You can install gamepass in about 7 mins on the steam deck!

@@urboijash3955 Also a fair point. I guess I am just so blown away by the pretty substantial difference in playability and performance that I got a little exited. I do completely understand that if you're just looking for a machine to play older or less demanding titles, that the Deck would be the choice to make. For me I have no other PC just my legion go.
@@vonbrendt01 How do you like the legion? Its a gorgous looking device
hello caN Legion Go Handheld PC Gaming Console run rust
Can't play Xbox gamepass games? What exactly are you referring to? Because i play xbox gamepass games completely fine on my steam deck?
How? Did you dual boot windows? The deck OLED has missing windows driver issues
Your wrong on the Xbox games pass not working for Steam deck.i have a 1TB steam deck anti glare oled. I have Xbox game pass & PlayStation game pass aswell.
I’m still confused choosing between legion and the SD oled
@@michaelowusu5731me too what did you do?
I still can’t believe this kid told people they can’t install gamepass when it’s been done for years now on the regular Steam OS. It only takes several minutes to do
@@CandyChannel1966its only streaming isnt it? and not the actual gamepass
“I don’t have bad eyes, I wear contacts” I hate to break it to you but you have bad eyes
He doesn’t have bad eyes he has ligma
