The 1tb was on sale for $549 and picked up an open box for a little under 450 with all accessories and factory settings with a big scratch on the back but absolutely a huge steal when the 512 was still priced at 699 and the rog ally's were not on sale and more expensive

I had a steamdeck lcd then i switched to the rog ally just to go back to the steamdeck oled , windows is terribly optimized fro handheld gaming

Im thinking of getting a legion go instead of the deck oled, Im a native pc player so i dont have to worry about the user friendly stuff but it seems the legion go has better performance and also its in windows 10 meaning I dont have to worry about not being able to play some games. The detachable controllers seem cool for nintendo switch emulation as well. I would be happy to hear your opinion on what I should do

Mine overheated twice in a 74 degree room lol. Decided to strip it down to the motherboard(without exposing the Liquid Metal of course) for a deep clean. The Ps5 seems to have sacrificed functionality for aesthetic when it comes to managing heat. Its airflow has too many directional changes, most notably the walled off side panels. Couple that with tons of dead spots within the shell and you’ve got a dust magnet on your hands. That aside, the deep clean fixed the issue. 2 additional playthroughs of 16 and I’ve had no overheating. Absolutely love the game, a must play.

With SteamOS you cannot: Use lossless scaling AFMF2 Play certain games Not sure if you can enter desktop mode. Others: Linux based Overall not that flexible Only good for gaming only

Something that make steamos more performant than windows on steam deck, is that valve hire peoples to work on AMD GPU Driver, the Kernel, and other linux stuff, So they can optimise all the software for steam deck, others handheld still rely on microsoft/AMD to optimise drivers for handheld they are not selling. With bazite you rely on optimisations made for steam deck (so with different hardware), and community.

I think the slim is better because that’s the model I have and it looks more cooler than the original PS5
