- I've been busy finishing up an order so this is a short one. A trip to the Nursery is rare these days, but I treated myself to a few "store bought" plants for a front yard garden border. I haven't placed them in the ground yet, I'll do that in the next video.
All of the plants are Perennials; Armeria, Scabiosa, Sages, Columbine, Lavender and Rosemary
Thank you to everyone who sent kind messages of condolence concerning our dear doggie in the last video. Хобби
It all looks beautiful! I feel so close to God working in the garden! Even riding the mower. Enjoy putting your new plants in the ground!
Indeed, God is the gardener of the world!
I love hearing those birds singing in your garden. What a wonderful place you have! 🌻

Jeri, your Potager looks like something out of a book. Just beautiful. 💛

You live in a magical wonderland that is so charming. ❤
"Magical" is a good word to describe the garden!
Thanks for the garden walkabout. My favorite.
That columbine is precious! It reminds me of those within the Barlow family
I fell in love with it
Oh my goodness your gardens are so full, lush and beautiful looking. So enjoy when you give us tours of them. I get so much inspiration from you. Cottage gardens are my very favorite style. I'm trying seeds indoors for the first time this year. So far so good! Thank you for the time and effort you put into your videos and for sharing them with us. Have a lovely weekend! 😊💜🌷
So happy that your seeds are doing well!
I know, I agree, I feel inspired after watching this video!

Thank you for all the inspiring videos! I’ve been binge watching your channel this weekend!😊. Starting a tea garden in my backyard loaded with mint varieties, chamomile and lemon balm. All thanks to you! Have a blessed week!
Thats's great! Be careful with that Lemon Balm I bought a tiny pot one year and now it is everywhere.
Merci pour ce partage 😍 j'adore 💞💕🌸🏵🌹🌻🌼🥀🌷
God Bless you❤❤❤
Loved the tour of the garden & love the bunny decorations in the garden.
I meant that your garden is as beautiful as anything Beatrix Potter could have dreamed up!
It's good to be in such nice company Beatrix P. had such marvelous gardens.
I'm glad you gave yourself a break! You accomplish so many amazing things. Always seeing your gardens.
Always love seeing your gardensm
Beautiful garden 🎉🎉❤
Thank you Jeri good luck with the lavender. God bless you and yours xxx
I'm telling you, I must be a stubborn woman!
I’ve just planted wall flowers grown from saved seeds.I love gardens. You are such a joy to watch.Thankyou for the calm.xxx🐝🐝🐝 from England. That is a great columbine.
I love Wallflowers but mine didn't germinate.
lol…you are not the only one on RUclips that’s said, lately, they need some instant color right now & went out & bought some plants. Really, though, it doesn’t seem like we had much of a winter so I don’t know why we are all so impatient this spring. 😃I had plenty of the early spring flowers blooming but I, too, couldn’t wait to go to the nursery & see what they had. (I prefer to direct sow seeds since I really have no space to start seeds plus I haven’t had any luck with winter sowing.)
Your garden & home continues to be so charming…like a storybook.❤
Sometimes it just feels good have an instant garden!
Gooooood morning Jeri! I love your perfectly imperfect cottage garden. You are so creative and you continue to make and share your Eden with all of us. Thank you! I get so many fresh ideas for my garden every time I have the privilege to take a virtual walk with you through your special place on earth. And, just as each flower is an important part of your garden, so are all of the birds that come to share the beauty. I also enjoyed seeing your peacock who made his cameo appearance! What a wonderful world you are creating! I think Walt Disney was wrong...YOUR GARDEN is the happiest place on earth!!!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful gardens with all of us.
So good to hear from your Randy, I have missed your enthusiasm!
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Thank you Jeri. Been a bit under the weather for the past few months. The old ticker gave out and I have been recovering from surgery. The upside is that I've been indulging my obsession recently with trips to the nurseries and planting LOTS of roses and other perennials in pots. I can't dig in the soil at this time so I'm bringing the soil UP. I'll send you some pics when the stuff is in bloom. Thanks again for inspiring so many of us with your art.
I'm so jealous of all of your spring bulbs that simply will not grow in FL.
I would really miss those bulbs.
I love your garden. Thanks for the walk around.
Love, love, love your show. Thank you so much for sharing your garden with us.
Your gardens are looking beautiful. Thank you, for taking us along on a walkthrough. God bless you.🌷
Looks LOVELY Jeri! 🇨🇦
Thank you Jerri. I so love all of the animal voices! Cheers
Lovely spring video ⚘️
What a beautiful cottage garden. You have so many beautiful flowers in blooms.❤❤
Your beautiful gardens have got me "itchin"" to get out and plant. However, nighttime temps in NY are still in the 30s, 40s.
Beautiful! I am hoping my son and I can get into the garden today! Inspiring as always. ❤
You're gardens are beautiful and perfect. Good luck with your perennials and the lavender. I'm trying a French Lavender this year. Surely one of these times I can get a Lavender to grow. Lol
In the past, I've had some great Lavender plants that lived for years, but lately they really struggle to stay alive no matter what I do with them. I think we get too much rain.
Gorgeous…as always!!!
Sometimes we just have to do that !
JERI I LIKE THE SPANISH SAGE THEY SMELL NICE
Yes they do!
You are so inspiring. Beautiful gardens.
So nice of you, thank you!
Beautiful! We're under a frost warning here in West Tennessee, and my garden is finally lookin good this year.😢 I hope your lovely garden is spared, and everyone else as well. ❤ 🙏
I hope your garden does well, we're in East Tennessee with temps to go as low as 38.
Ive been really lucky with my veggie garden for many years. My potted plants (so,so) luck. I bought a cheap pack of wild flower seeds from the Dollar General of all places 15 years ago. Those flowers have came up with out fail every year!! Lol it was a 50 cent seed pack . Out of all my efforts people compliment those the most.
My best strip of Zinnia came from 1 pack of seeds from the Dollar store and it was so full of varied blooms.
Your garden is so lovely!
Your garden looks so beautiful
Hello sweet Jeri, I am a retired Interior Designer over in California & have enjoyed your content for many, many moons. I heard you mention ( on a most recent show ) to plant multiple colors ( of flowers ) in a triangle format. I have noticed that most great Interiors work in the same manner ( triangles of color ). . . It's interesting! I was quite saddened to hear about the recent loss of your puppy. I am so sorry.
Yes, the idea is to plant in triangles and drifts of the same plant in uneven numbers, ( no less than 3 ) Generally, I stick to the same color for each plant variety not multiple colors. If you repeat this method all through the garden bed, it brings a nice harmony in the garden...like a painting
Thank u Mrs. landers🙂
Love those tulips Jeri. Salvias are always a good choice and here once I have them, they are there the next year too. I have a pineapple sage bush and it has these beautiful trumpet like little red flowers that blooms the whole season. Yes, smart girl to give yourself a break. Why not, you are working very hard in that lovely garden of yours. Sending love and hugs. Xxx
Yes, those sages and salvias are one of the few dependable in my garden. I do wish I had your success with Lavender.

Just beautiful!
I appreciate the tip on planting in threes -- i need to start doing this.
Or 5, 7 and 9!
Esse jardim está mágico tão lindo com muita vida e cores Amooo ❤️❤️❤️ vc é uma inspiração pra mim obrigado amiga bjsss 😘😘❤️❤️🏖️🇧🇷
Obrigado!
Good morning Jeri ❤. I wondered if you saw the video from Cranery Gardens where he made a bouquet dedicated to you after the loss of your sweet pup. We are all thinking of you ❤
I couldn't find it, do you know which one it is? He is such a sweet man.
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Jeri, it is the video titled Cottage Flower Arrangement from 9 days ago.
Hi Jeri !! you gardens look amazing ! Definitely God's country !! A real peaceful haven, and charming. Thanks so much for sharing, and I will use your tip about buying more of one flower group together !! Blessings , Paula
Paula, yes, the planting of multiples of the same plant really improves a gardens design.
I can't buy annuals from the nursery either. Only perrenials. I also didn't have any luck growing columbine from seed. The lavender scabiosa is such a gorgeous color
Great video!!
funny I treated myself at a garden center yesterday, I drove to Haywards Heath, you would love it there, lovely English countryside and historical villages. Your garden looks magical as always. arrrgghhh I hate pricking out
I'm sure I would like that kind of English like village..
An instant garden, how lovely! I buy plug plants and grow them on here in the uk , it works out cheaper but there is some work involved in keeping them alive.the red tulips look fabulous, I have them here too and they are reliable, coming back every year.
I planted them very deeply to insure their return, they are so cheerful in that dashing bright red.
Beautiful plant choices! I love perennials. Perennials that multiply by seed are the best!! I'm going to have to try that Thrift. I do buy some annuals though. So many pretty plants to grow! After killing so many roses in recent years (though my surviving roses are gorgeous this year!) I've decided to concentrate on Iris and Daylillies, as I was thinking they would work together well and they survive here despite the drought, heat and grasshoppers. And for the first time I'm really studying them so I can improve with them in the future. Lo and behold, they actually require very different growing conditions! Bearded Iris like it fairly dry, but need very little nitrogen (which surprised me)(bone meal seems to be perfect for Iris). Daylillies prefer more water, and they love nitrogen! I'm also trying Lavender again. This time I'm planting in a mix of mostly sand (my native soil is clay), gravel and some potting soil. I took the bottom out of an old galvanized pan and planted the lavender in that so it is raised. Drainage will not be an issue this time! It also helps when watering; I can water the plants around the pot more and not directly in the lavender pot. But then I watched a video from a Lavender farm and they said to plant the roots "very loosely," saying the plants do not like their roots packed down tight, but rather loose and free. Didn't think about that. I have two more plants still to plant, so I'll try to keep that in mind. Your Clematis is gorgeous! I planted a couple more this year and I'm still searching for another particular one. I want a Clematis Armandii. It is evergreen and blooms in masses of small fragrant white flowers in early Spring. Sort of the opposite of the Sweet Autumn, which I already have. But I do adore the large colored blooms like yours. And your Wisteria! So beautiful! Mine bloomed for the first time this year, but nothing like yours!! Your gardens are so gorgeous! Everything is so lovely. Thank you again for all you share. I look forward to every video!!
I love your determined spirit! Our Wisteria doesn't bloom every year, but when it does it's a show stopper.
Love the plant choices and yes I do not buy anything in a pot that isn't a perennial. I just bought some pink and blue scabiosa yesterday but it is too cold in my zone 6 to plant it out into my garden yet. Last year I put some into pots and they were blooming all summer long, then in Fall I planted them into the ground (big mistake) they all died. So this fall when my planters are done, I am just going to haul the pot into my unheated garage and let them overwinter there and see if I have better success. I am obsessed with salvia's too! I just bought Caradonna and Marcus and Rose Marvel for my garden this spring.
Good to know your experience with the Scabiosa, I've not had much luck getting it to overwinter either.
🌼💝🌼
Lovely garden! Thanks for the stroll as I sip my morning coffee! Very relaxing! New Sub!
Thanks and welcome!
I just saw Beatrix Potter !
The movie?
I haven’t been here in a while and I remembered how I loved your garden I have to wear gloves now and thought of you , you always wore pretty ones why aren’t you wearing them in this video ❤
Sometimes they are out of reach when I am filming...
What a lovely garden!
What is the name of the reference book that you show? It looks so helpful!
It's from Readers Digest by Julie Bawdeb- Davis, "Flower Gardening" 2012
Grow lavender by cuttings and not seed. Much easier :)
Funny you should mention that, I've been binge watching lavender cutting videos for the last few days. I did plant a tray of seeds, but don't hold out much hope.
Wow so much in bloom already! What gardening zone are you?
7a East Tennessee
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow I'm jealous in my zone 3a haha. So very soon things will start budding here where I live hopefully.
Jerri it would be wonderful if you could really explain a potager. I know you have one. But can you really describe it? Thank you.
I have a series of videos all about the Potager here is the link; ruclips.net/video/9DfiHINtVpo/видео.html This is a 6 video series.
Enjoyed your video - which garden book do you use?
I have so many, but this book is from Readers Digest called "Flower Gardening"
@@JeriLandersofHopalongHollow Thank you!
What is the name of the little bell shape flower that come from a bulb? I have some but I do not know the name. Lovely!
Spanish bluebells
Sometimes we just have to do that !
