Hey if you want more consistent FLEX shifts, then come to North Jackson, Ohio. There is always FLEX scheduled from either 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. OR 5:15 p.m. - 9:15 p.m. The pay for those blocks is usually $78.00
Starting Amazon Flex this week and it is giving me anxiety. I know I am going to be okay as soon as I know the basics and what to do when I start. I hate new things, but when I get used to them I usually do great. Thank you for your video.
@@Slynell1 Went well. I like knowing the amount I gain every time for the block instead of working until I get to the amount I need every day to be reach with food delivery. I am going to keep doing it until I can't ;)
Amazon flex is really good pay. During the snow storm we had here in Washington there was a $475 order for a 5 shift. The only part that we don't consider is the time driving to the warehouse , waiting in line forever to get in and get the packages and also if you can't deliver an item you have to return it back to the warehouse.
Wow, that's incredible pay! But yes, I agree, the amount of time/gas spent driving is definitely something to consider when deciding if Amazon Flex is right for you.
@@irinadeee true Warehouse around me is 10 miles north(25 minute drive) That's not really the bad part though. The bad part is that from that Warehouse it might take me even further north or further south of my house. If it goes well, maybe I can switch between Flex and my Door Dash!! Especially with the holidays around the corner, I'm sure they'll be extremely busy! Thank you for FLEXING & SHARING ❣️

Thanks so much for this video! I'm a retired, single, female trying to survive on social security. I've been researching different part time jobs and this one checks all the boxes. Any additional information or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!!
I'm so happy to hear that the video was helpful! Wishing you the best of luck in finding part-time jobs, I think you will enjoy the flexibility of delivering for Amazon! The onboarding process for Amazon Flex is really quick and easy, so you should be able to breeze through it and start shifts fairly quickly. There are lots of other awesome videos on RUclips about various delivery driver platforms and how much they pay - Mikhail (my friend who I collaborated with for this video) covers a lot of those jobs over on his RUclips channel 😊
To put the questions up front: Did it seem like the deliveries were organized in a way that made sense? Was it sending you all over town in a chaotic way or did it look like some route planning had been done to make stops close together? I just found your channel. This video introduced me to this opportunity which I will probably use. I have been working with TaskRabbit which has been really great for me but this could help fill in a bit on slow days. I also worked a holiday season as a UPS delivery "helper". It was good for me to get off the computer chair, but my knees and shins took a beating from all the stairs and concrete. Taking a few hour shift at a time sounds a lot more reasonable.
Damn. I just started my first day with a courier company using my vehicle and gas. Worked about 10 hours straight no standby time, mad $189 for the day, minus $57 for fuel. Well, safe to say there won't be a second day doing this.

Hi,,,,how many times you make scann the package? Scann in the warehouse,,,and scann again,,,,in the car,,,,and scann again for the 3rd times by the door of the costumers,,,,do you still scann in the presents of the costumers before their premises?
Taxes suck. Federal Income tax + State Income tax + Self Employment tax + Social Security tax + Mandator Medical Insurance (thanks obamacare) + Medicare tax = 42% to 52% tax. So that $42/hr comes out to $21/hr and that's without operational costs taken out, Food during the day, Fuel, wear and tear on the vehicle. In my estimate the actual hourly rate is about $16/hr take home after taxes and operation costs. Hope that helps with your calculations.
You left the house at 9am and got home at 6pm. That’s 9 hours. It’s still pretty good. I didn’t get accepted on flex idk why I have all the other apps. I’m curious about the amount of mileage you did. Depreciation on the value of your car because of miles is a big factor.
@@zlonewolf A normal job yes but in this line of work The second I get in my car and start driving I’m clocked in and I count that as time. It’s all about the car and the time spent in it. Even though technically you’re not getting paid for that time. It’s still a 10 hour workday everyday with the commute. The fuel cost wear on the car and time. You would factor that into your earnings and living expenses. And if you could get the same job. With the same pay same everything and no commute. You would take that job in a heartbeat. You would say wow I’m saving so much money and not decreasing the value of my car by thousands of miles.

Tax is 15%. $45 tax. Gas is $4 per gal and for 20 gal is $80 for 300 to 400 miles. Most deliveries are within 2 -10 miles. After her 20 deliveries half tank or $40 gone. So $85 minus 297 is $212 for 7 hrs or $30/hr.
