You might need to hack the pattern a little. I have a French Bulldog and I once tried to make something similar and because he has such a big chest it didn't fit properly until I spent about 4 hours adding darts and fabric and stuff.
This might be helpful for experienced seamstress but definitely not for beginners like me. No pattern, unclear directions for attaching hoodie/ 3 layers at neck & ultra speed video. Wish I understood. 😣☹️

What did you do to secure the front strap on the chest? I noticed the under belly chest strap was done but not the front chest strap.
