I used an Ilford Sportsman to take a few snaps during drama class at secondary school back in 1985. Still have those pictures.

the little haze filter looks a bit like it goes on the rangefinder window of some old Leica clone or actual leica

There are systems… of sorts… 3d printed, designed to allow you to put 35mm film through some 126 cameras . I think the Film Photography Project sells them or at least used to . On another note , I like your idea for the 127 brownie . I quite like using weird old cameras out and about . Can get some funny reactions from people but also get into some interesting conversations

    😂 Pretend it's a podcast, 😂
I'm the same with vintage packaging, love the simpler designs and fonts 👌

That teeny filter - I’ve got a 1970s cat lens which has ND filters about that size which thread into the mount end of the lens, might it be for something like that?

    • @gideonliddiardphotography

They are a similar size to rear mounted filters, but these ones appear to be plain Skylight filters, so I suspect they are front mounted for viewfinder cameras.

Sticky cameras and or their equipment.... Makes me never want to touch them again lol

LOL - in fairness it was only the one lens (and it cleaned up excellently. Thick layers of grime and dust are the more common challenges.

Not really, the contents worth more than I paid for it, so for me it's worth it, and on balance after four job lots, I'm well ahead.
