When I was a kid, I wanted both a Supra and Celsior. The Soarer was the perfect, "best of both worlds," car. The Celsior's engine, stuffed into the Supra's chassis, with all the wood and leather of a proper Lexus. It's all of my childhood's dreams come true.
Check what month your 95 sc400 was made. You are just on the line of it being an early model engine with thicker rods. The later rods are considerably weaker but will take about 450hp. Otherwise just change the rods and pistons and you are good to see 800+hp
Please don't call it a Lexus Soarer, haha. It's a Toyota Soarer UZZ31. I'm guessing you're using 'SC400' to broaden the views though. Amazing car though. Loving the content. Subscribed!
Matt Misanthropy actually some of the Australian sold cars had Lexus badging including my one when I bought it. The engine had a Lexus badge on it. Yeah I just want to include American viewers as well. They may not search ‘Toyota”. Thanks for subscribing Matt, I’ve got some more vids coming really soon👍
@@supravworld8777 None were sold here. They were all imported via importing companies or as private imports. Import companies changed the badging and registered them as Lexus to make them appear more luxurious (which is ironic, as the Soarer had far more features and was the superior car). So basically, ALL right hand drives are Toyota Soarers, ALL left hand drives are Lexus SC300/400s
Soarer/SC400/SC300: they're all the same car anyway. Only the engines and some details are different for different markets. I'm calling mine a Lexus Soarer, and I don't care if you (or anyone else) won't grant approval.
Hey I need some help have a SC400 a 95 model I want a twin turbo it but I was told that I will have to swap the motor with a super motor in order to do so any recommendations
No need for a Supra motor swap with a 1995 the rods inside the motor are thinner then the early model sc400 so all you would have to do is upgrade your rods and pistons and with new arp headstuds and head gasket and you should be able to twin turbo no problem
