Car:1997 SC400 4.0L 1uz

i love toyota sooooo much, god i want this car so bad. more than a supra. 1UZ is the best freakin engine. I drive a V6 4runner with 240k miles on it and it never dies. The V8 4runners aren't as nice but that engine is just as good. So cool to see it in a performance coupe. I think the styling of this car is just so underrated and its pretty undiscovered.
And I thought Palm Beach just did Mustangs......great job! I wonder what a Tundra engine can do......

Those wheels are perfect! what is the name/style or wheel? I would really like to get them. Literally just bought a 95' yesterday ! Also do you suggest the tomei 2 way lsd or would one from another model lexus be just as good/reliable and a pretty straight forward or even direct bolt in swap?

Awesome! Thank You for answering my question. Is it a T4 flange.. I am in the process of buying a turbo for my 1UZ and don't want to buy one with the exhaust housing either too small or too big and laggy. How is the spool on your setup? I am planning on running 8-10psi and would like it to be spooled by 3500rpm. What size exhaust housing would you recommend for a decent spool? How much psi are You running and when do you see full boost on a t4 .88? Thanks again brother!

No. This dyno shop is mainly a Mustang shop. Even Rarefab is a Mustang shop. XATRACING.COM I think can help you though. Contact them.
Who did the engine work? How much would it be to change internals on a gs400?
Me and Rarefab added the MLS headgaskets and arp head studs with valve springs. That's it. The rest is factory. SupraStore.com has a good selection of aftermark pistons and rods for the 1uz none vvti or with vvti

How has the CD009 treated you after all this time??
So far so good. Twin disc is grabbing hard and the cd009 shifts just fine.

11.3@134 with the open dif. I had to baby launch the car. I now have the Ford 8.8 with GT500 dif. Going back later this year.

What exhaust are you running?
RAREFAB down pipe 3" to a 4" straight pipe to a 5" tip
97 has small rods silly guys the older ones in 1994 95 bigger rods

Factory Ford Explorer 8.8 rear end with a spool LSD, Custom sub frame bracket. Poly bushings and level 5 axles.
Any idea how much power the factory sc axles can take before they start snapping??
Im still on factory axles so at least over 600. I Heard that sc400 axles are bigger and can hold more. I just got this set up to not have to worry about them or rear end. I can make 1000 whp if I wanted to.

that a big boost on stock CR 10.5, you can make 800whp++ with increase red line, i olso wonder to make SMART cop build

How the fuck did you get 630 out of a stock 1u??? I have an LS400 (92 so the internals aren't shitty, they're definitely strong enough to take some hp gain) any tips for pushing hp or even how to go about turboing in the first place without forging internals?
The manual kit was just you prefrence i guess?.

Thats awesome man, this car is mint , it needs to be driven everyday, everywhere i look theres people saying its not worth turbo charging the 1uz, but you kept the v8 and your puttin up crazy hp. So dope
