THANK U SO MUCH, i buy this pen bc im a idiot and read and I saw that I did have pressure and... said wow! advice, never buy something when you are very sleepy and haven't slept well for 2 days. Your video gave me a lot of encouragement as I just got the pencil, so I can draw but not do paint-like colouring and a very good mix of colours which disappoints me as it is my style of painting. Still, your video was very informative and even gave me hope that it wouldn't all be terrible.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm deciding between getting the 10 gen with this usb-c pencil or a refurbished air 4 with pencil 2! My daughter turns 11 and loves to draw. Which ipad/pencil would you get? Laminated vs non-laminated display is also an issue to consider...... I can't make up my mind!
If the total cost isn’t that much of an issue, I would recommend the Air 4 and 2nd gen pencil. The 2nd gen is also on sale for the same price as the usb c pencil too amzn.to/3PkuZpR
@@Idonotexist-k4l the only thing the ipad 10 is better at is at replacing the glass that protects the screen if it breaks and having a better front camera, other than that the ipad air 4 has the better specs all around
What charger does the Apple Pencil USB C need? I did not realize it does not come with a charger when I ordered mine. Can I just use the charger that comes with the Apple IPad Air 13 inch?
helllo i can seem to get this work in procreate. I am able to use it for other things aside from this any suggestions? I can draw using my finger but not the pen :(
Beautifully explained video, thank you. I am an beginner digital artist, not professional i do it for fun, professionally i am 3D artist. i usually use mouse and keyboard to draw on PC using Photoshop. I recently bought ipad 10th gen ( can't afford air (5th gen) ) so i was thinking which pencil to get? Is pressure sensitivity really important to draw better? Or should i get the USB type C version? I would like to know your thoughts. As you have used Both
could you tell me more about this? i was gifted an iPad and usb-c pencil and I would like to start drawing, but I'm worried I'll run into issues without pressure sensitivity. Is it really something a beginner artists can do without?
@@preciousa.9976Imk, pressure sensitivity generally for any type of stylist you use that is electronic rather than Apple, Huion, Samsung, Wacom, XP Pen etc. It's a way of changing the size of your brush automatically while applying pressure to as more or little & hard or soft. This is a type of technology that is used for pretty much every drawing device known for creativity or to give you the honest truth, It's just a flagship feature that tech companies uses to make the device more appealing to use at a much more expensive price point. Is it necessary? kind of but not really imo. yes I know a lot of other people have different views about this, especially if you're in the digital art space, it's an accessibility tool that helps you. But at the end of the day, the tech features of the device you use don't matter and should NOT defy you as an artist at all! But if it's something that makes you feel comfortable then use it. Just note that as long as you get basic skills under your belt then you'll be able to make it out there.
@@preciousa.9976 if you are just starting out and not doung any complex thing like multiple layers, backgrounds ecc.. you are fine im gonna use it to do animations for a game so for those kind of thing its just fine
Bro as I am student I need Apple Pencil for my iPad for just note taking I can’t ensure that Apple Pencil usb c or Apple Pencil 2nd gen is good for me everyone is saying that Apple Pencil 2 gen is good choice for everyone cause Apple Pencil usc c does not have that much features can u explain me please i just need a good note taking Apple Pencil I’m not an artist I’m just student 😊
If you are a student and just need something for note taking, the USB C pencil would be fine. Just make sure the pencil is compatible with the iPad you are using it with.
@@JimmyLamStudio BUT,Apple Pencil USB-C does not include pressure sensitivity or double-tap support to change tools. So everyone are saying to not but this usb c pencil And go for sone 3rd party alternatives like kingone 2n gen and others which have same features like usb c.
because it has pressure sensitivity, this one doesn’t. If you plan on getting type c apple pencil for any reason at all, just consider buying goojodoq pens as they offer the same quality
this is so trash they increased the price of old 1st gen pencil and gave the old price tag to this trash which doesn't even support pressure sensitivity 🤦♂

I have never experienced this. I would consider going into the Settings App and go to the Apple Pencil tab to see if there is anything you can change there. Also trying looking in Procreate's Gesture Control menu.
I have the same issue with my new pencil when I connected it, it won’t work on procreate but fine with other apps what I did was I hard reset my iPad and the pen works perfectly! Maybe try hard reset your iPad! :>
