I'm just enjoying the ride. I love our manager, love our owners, love our players. I hope for continued European football but mainly this year I'm just going to enjoy watching us in the CL something I thought I would never get to see in my lifetime.

How can any Villa fan NOT be excited about next season. Enjoy the ride. Unai and the management are making serious inroads and strengthen the squad. This is the best position (financially and how they are managed) Villa have been in for decades.

His accomplishments are far more impressive than the majority of people realise. Unless you’re watching Villa every week and following the club closely, it’s difficult to appreciate how much he has improved individual players and also his ability to get us playing a system so confidently and in such a short time. The amount of long term injuries that he has had to deal with in his tenure has made it even more remarkable.

At the end of last season I was thinking it would be a hard task for the villa boys to get top 4 again, newcastle and chelsea finished well. They'll be arguments against me but i think Squad wise we're very close to top 4. Bring another forward in and we're there. Smash the big 6 apart.

Villa have effectively replaced Douglas with one player with his potential in barranachea , one strong in the ways Douglas was not in onana and one who last season put in very similar stats as him in Barkley. Brilliant work.

Between Villa and Spurs, and maybe Spurs for the top 4 once again, maybe Newcastle. United will be all over the place with the Ten Hagg circus and i think new Chelsea manager will struggle at that toxic club too.

Villa had a good season last year but this year they’ll finish top half at best but even so considering a club like villa that club and fans will be more than happy with that and then they can look to build on that 👍

I always love that people still think Villa’s offside trap is a weakness when we absolutely nailed it last season.
Yes sometimes teams will get in behind, it’s inevitable. But it doesn’t happen often enough. There’s a reason we finished 4th. And the offside trap is one of those reasons.

Villa limped to 68 points. In the last 7 years, that would have gotten top 4 twice.
I'd say the reason you limped to 4th was because Spurs decided to implode after beating you 4-0. Chelsea were still enjoying their basketcase era, Newcastle had an entire XI unavailable for 3 months of the season, and Manchester United are managed by Erik Ten Hag.
Despite this, Newcastle and Manchester United both did the double over Villa, with Newcastle scoring 8 goals in the process.
You also lost to minnows in the Europa Conference.
The Champions League will absolutely annihilate Villa. They'll be lucky to finish top 7 this year.

We finished 4th because we got more points than 16 other teams.
The reason less points were required for 4th is because the sky 6 haven’t been having it their own way and running away gap due to the standard of the rest of the teams improving.
If Villa can keep the injuries away this season them and Newcastle will once again upset the cartel and I can’t wait to see all the sky 6 fans crying and whining again for another year.
