Over the last 5 years there have been 16 QBs taken in the first round and only one is a sure fire franchise QB. In the last 15 years of all the QBs drafted in the first round 15% are absolute home run hits. They are projecting at least 4 quarterbacks going in the first.
Dan Orlofsky is asking us to believe that over 50% of these quarterbacks are franchise options when only ONE might be likely(and thats a big if).
The option is not there. Draft a receiver.

Daniel Jones got to go but no team will ever trade for him and no we are stuck with him eating up all of our cap space with his ridiculous contract.

I feel Daniel Jones unfairly got more patience by his organization than any other QB. Daniel never should of drafted that high and never should of got paid

Paying all that money to Daniel Jones is the most baffling contract I’ve ever seen.
You need a star at QB in New York. Get a WR, do what you can this year with Jones, and see if you can't swing a trade like the Jets did for Rodgers.

If you draft a guy 3 and you say he's not good enough to start day one. Don't draft him. The number 3 guy starts day one. There isn't a planet where Maye is ready to play QB day one. For every good thing he has as a QB he same 2 that are horrible. At best he's a 4th round talent. Sadly, teams overdraft QBs. He maybe the 3rd QB in the draft (he's not) but he's not a 3rd over all talent.
That's crazy huh nobody criticizes a Giants for drafting another quarterback after they just gave him millions of dollars.
But the Broncos do it and everybody loses their minds.
And what happens if he has no one to throw too or gets sacked 80 times a year

If he gets hurt, which he does, and can't play to start the 2025 season, the Giants have to give him 25 million, even if they cut him. If he is healthy after the 2024 season, the Giants can cut him and keep the 25 million. Jones should hold a clipboard as QB2, and only see the field in case of someone breaking a limb. Regardless of whether or not the Giants draft a QB.

I’m a patriots fan but if I was a Jets fan. The Jets should be the one going for a QB. Do they really think Aaron will last the full season? He does not take care of himself like Tom Brady. He is going to get hurt again very early then where will the Jets be without a QB? Aaron will not come back next season. The Jets need to do anything and everything to get one of these young QB. Before last season started, I said Rogers will get hurt early. I just did not think it would be the first hit and then him being out for the season. forget about a receiver. The Jets need to get a quarterback that should be their main concern.
