Only 50 Calories HOT CHOCOLATE RECIPE:
- 80 g (1/3 cup) Skimmed Milk
- 80 g (1/3 cup) Water
- 10 g (1½ tablespoons) Cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp Instant Coffee Powder ( Do not add more than this. It’s just to enhance the chocolate flavor)
- 1 tsp Cornstarch
- Sweetner of your choice ( add as much as you like)
- Pinch of Salt
PLEASE READ: To thicken this hot chocolate (and activate the cornstarch), this mixture has to come to a boil. So allow the hot chocolate to come to a boil for 30 seconds, stirring constantly, before taking it off the heat.
This hot chocolate contains between 50-60 cal.
For the skinny “whipped cream”
-Any Milk of your choice

My dad doesn't like hot chocolate at ALL, he thinks it's too sweet and he doesn't like chocolate (I know, it's a crime) but I made him this and once he saw it he refused to taste it, then when he finally got convinced he drank two mugs! And the best thing is that he's on a diet right now, so thank you, and my dad actually became in a good mood after tasting it!

For anyone wondering how much sugar to use... I used 5 tbsp of powdered sugar for 3 cups. So about 1.5 tbsp for 1 cup.

Almond milk is an environmental nightmare. Oatmilk and hazelnut milk are much better.

Okay, this recipe is legit. I had to use a lot of honey to get it to my preferred sweetness and used only whole milk for liquid, but dang it's thick and delicious😋
For those of you who look to the comments to see what others have done, I say "I've done it, if you're not too worried about calories go for it all the way with honey/sugar/other sweeteners and using some kinda milk all the way, and it's (to me) better than the packets of Swiss Miss hot chocolate and you NEED TO LET IT BOIL SO IT THICKENS!!! 10/10, am totally making this again and for family."

To make frothy milk, I was shown a neat trick . Use a caffateriere , put milk into it, nothing else then pump it a few times. simple.
I use that when I make hot chocolate and coffees too. A bit quicker than using a whisk.

I like seeing low calorie ones because my dad is diabetic so these kinda give me ideas, like this using 1/2 skim milk 1/2 water and cocoa so you don't taste the water! It's hard being diabetic :") thank you for this!

Hey Emma! I tried your Italian Hot Chocolate recipe 2 days ago and I still can't get over how amazing it had turned out! I definitely found my favourite winter drink :)
If you use the whipper for frappe to make the foam: make sure milk is cold. You can use French press too just add milk and pump it quickly. Add a few tablespoons milk only as it will froth a lot.
