I'm sorry, but I gotta come down on you for being the zoomer that you are. Stardew Valley is not an Animal Crossing clone. It is a Harvest Moon clone. Pretty much all the base mechanics and even some aspects of the story are ripped right from Harvest Moon(which is why people loved it so much - as there has not been a good Harvest Moon entry since Friends of Mineral Town back in 2003 and Stardew scratched that itch of really good HM gameplay with some really great quality of life improvements). Aside from that nitpick, great video!
I'll be honest the reason why I don't like palworld is mostly to do with the studio being owned by an nft tech bro which makes me worried that the guy will eventually put it into there too. cause the guy has also put them into their previous works
Yesterday, I've played it from 5 to 11 without any pause. The last time, this happened, was with DOOM: Eternal, or maybe in the Creation Kit for Skyrim. Just to say, I would never have imagined playing a game like Palworld in 2024, it's not even my style. But here we are, a $30 indie game in early access is my game of the last years since DOOM: Eternal. I don't know if it has been made by AI, but I don't care because games like Borefield (a super-duper next-gen game which deserves new hardware) are the proof that some humans should totally be replaced by AI because it couldn't get worse.
Same! The last game I did that with was baldurs gate 3 back in August but that still wasn't that long ago. It's a super fun game. Probably played for 5-8 hours straight on my first day.
@@GeneralRubicon I can respect the quality of BG 3, but it isn't my style either. But probably, I will have to try it out sooner or later, because there won't be a TES 6.
Palworld is a Pokemon ripoff, straight upp pokemon ripoff. Like seriously there is a Wooloo but the only difference is the fact that it has small yellow horns different face and is standing up :/ you can't tell my thats not just a ripoff. Still good content tho.
As a huge Pokémon fan since the age of 5, the series has fallen off so badly in recent years. I’m glad they’re finally getting some competition. Maybe it’ll be the kick in the butt to get them into shape. But that’s probably wishful thinking lol.
I swear that game is so good. They really stepped up with that one. Nintendo on the other hand, had 20 years to make a good 3-D game like Palworld, but they didn't. Something where you run around, and throw the balls for real. It does that for sure, but not only that you can build bases all over the place, and structures. You can even shoot someone. Also as an aside, there are way too many Pokémon now. There's thousands. They should have held to the original lineups (gen 1-3) so that they could maintain a solid brand going into the future instead of an oversaturated list with quite frankly tons of duplicates. I shudder when I think about how many dog Pokémon alone there are. There's more dog Pokémon than there are breeds of dogs IRL. And don't get me started on all the stupid Pokémon like the ice-cream cone one, or the one that looks like set of keys.
i think palworld is a very good game (don't even own it) coz it will push pokemon creators to actually step up and do more than just releasing the same game with an idea or 2 but again it's on palworld creators not to drop the ball too as its a two way and it's on them to get it right
Let me know what games I should make commentary on. Always looking for new games to play!
Love this video. Great commentary. Keep it up 🎉
Thank you! Will do!

I only went off of watching my wife play both. Sorry for the error.

I am a little concerned that they'll abandon the game. But it's fun how it is and is providing me with alot of entertainment honestly.
It's okay to be who you want to be in life.
Fair.

I've never seen someone disagree with me but compliment my video. That's awesome lol
Guess it's the first time then@@GeneralRubicon

I agree. Competition is good for studios.
People? More like "people"

It really is fun
Souls likes, diablo clones, stardew all good all similar, who cares. Some are better than others and we as gamers are the winners.
Exactly my point. The same people complaining on Twitter enjoy games like stardew and souls likes. Makes no sense.
