I have a 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium. 466,000 miles and still going strong. Only major issues I’ve had were replacing the catalytic converter @400,000 and a recent electronic steering assist issue. No car payment since 2017! Best car I’ve ever owned!
Wow that's amazing!!!!! I just bought a 2016 SE AWD with all kinds of extras and love it. I've had Hyundai's the last few cars and this is my first Ford.
I just bought a pre-owned 2016 Fusion SE today and pick it up next week. After reading the comments, I am beyond excited! My next door neighbor bought her 2016 6 months ago and loves hers. I am took notes on the video for future reference. I am 70 yrs old, and like to be able to ask questions without sounding like a 70 yr. old dumb woman. Thanks so much for this video.
Had a 2014 that was totaled in Hurricane Harvey that I only had for like 10 months. Loved it so much I bought a brand new 2017 after the storm and had it for 5 years. One of the best driving cars I've ever had. Both were the Titanium trims with the 2.0L EcoBoost. I've never had a Toyota or Honda to compare it to, but it rode and drove so good, and had lots of power. Never any issue out of either.
I’ve had two. The first was a 2014 which I put 220,000 miles on it. I drive a 2018 Fusion Hybrid now. Great build quality. 40mpg, really quiet, and quicker than I anticipated. It’s also got limo-like space in the back. Great cars!
I was actually debating on buying a fusion but I read about tranny problems with 2010 - 2014 . So was looking at 2015 or even a taurus. But taurus are a bit more $ .
Hello, I'am French and i own my first Ford fusion hybrid (Mondéo hybride in France😅) vignale 59000 km 2018. I'm 54 years old, and i must say it is a wonderful car. I'm very very happy 😄. Best car i have driven. I love my car😅 Great job Ford!! Stéphane
I have a 2013 Fusion S with a 2.5L engine. It’s currently sitting at 235,000 miles and it’s still purring like a kitten. Great car! The only two issues I’ve had with it was a failed O2 sensor and the boot on the driver side CV axle busted open and leaked most of the grease out. Both were easy repairs.
i am about to buy the same model and year as yours sitting on about 250k miles. is there anything you would suggest i check or scrutinize. thanks in advance.
@bukolaFiyin I would definitely check to see how often the transmission fluid had been changed, if ever. Next, I would make sure that the head gasket isn't blown. White smoke out of the exhaust pipe is usually a good indicator of that. Last, I would plug in a scan tool to see if there are any existing trouble codes, and if there are, then how serious are they. You don't necessarily need an expensive scanner to do that. Also, look underneath the car and make sure nothing is leaking. Those are the biggest things I would look at if I were looking into buying a car with that mileage. Good luck, and I hope this helps.
I have a 2015 Ford Fusion Titanium with Eco Boost that I just LOVE, regular maintenance for 4 years with only 60,000 miles, still haven't had to replace tires yet, zero complaints so far and NO car payments!
I have a 2016 ford fusion SE 2.5. I bought the car with 35,000 miles and now it has 216,000 I have never replaced a suspension part. I replaced the resonator and now the catalytic converter needs to be replaced. One recall- fixed for free Car is running fine no electrical issues. Best car I have ever owned
My wife owns a 2015, Titanium, 2.6 turbo, silver. She dearly loves her car. We haven't had all the issues yet. You're right about the tires. Walmart is the best source that I've found for tires. We're currently dealing with Headlamps. I'm not going to replace the HBs just LBs. You can replace those without removing the front bumper cover. One additional issue us the Brake Light Switch. It had a little rubber/plastic piece that brakes off. It will cause the Brake light to remain on all the time. Even with the car turned off. We had to get it replaced, twice within a month, dealer paid both times. I believe it is a recall item. There's a couple of bush fixes online. Its a well known problem. I'm glad I didn't have to do the repair. The battery is a pain. But nothing too complicated. You do need to get the computer set for the new battery. My wife's wouldn't run right. Dealership reprogrammed it as a courtesy. As your old battery gets old it needs to charge at a different rate then a new battery. Its kind of nice and at the same time a bit of a pain. I'll add there are a ton of aftermarket customizations that you can get for these cars. They're awesome. I bought her a rear window and rear window set of louvers. They are so cool. I'm going to change out the grill and a a chin spoiler on the front. Makes it look like a Mustang GT. Very hot. We're going to need to keep these cars for a very long time. The country is being forced into EVs NO THANK YOU. I'll never own one. It's not necessary. The rest of the world isn't doing it. EVs SUCK. I can't imagine taking a cross country trip in one having to stop every 350 miles to recharge for 2 to 6 hours. WTH, no thanks. Any way that's another video. What ever you do don't sell your current gas powered cars. In 3 to 5 years They're going to stop making them every mfg. California has just outlawed gas powered car sales after 2026. God Help us. I guess this should be another video.
My 2017 Ford Fusion Hybrid has 174K. Changed Transmission Fluid and Engine to AMSOIL all the way. Do it every 20K & all Good, Bless You- Grumpy Old Vet! Love ❤️ the Ford/ Toyota Fusion Hybrid!
@@benjamingordon2627 battery still intact never changed. All I have changed is wheel bearings and speed sensors. Now at 391,000 miles. Cover 10k miles per month.
I have the same car I bought two years ago, the only issue I have had is with the Bluetooth module. I could not connect to sync and needed a new module. Other then that I have put on 80000km and have not had to replace a single thing.
@@mrlockhart4252I have a 2013 fusion hybrid and the Bluetooth connects just fine every time but after I had an android update on my phone? The handsfree Bluetooth stopped working for calls in my car. Have NO idea why
I currently own a 2012 and 2014 Ford Fusions and have had them for many years with NO repairs needing to be made. As has been said, regular maintenance is the key. Love these Fords!
I bought the SEL in 2006 and have under 90,000 miles. Inner door handles/lock, both set of rear light assembly, 2sets of window regulator, 3rd set of tires and steering pump replaced, I'm still happy with it.
I am getting one on Monday or Tuesday. It'll be my second Fusion, 4th car. It also is a 2018. I had my previous one for a little over 2 years until someone backed into it last week and totaled it
Got a 2020 Titanium and I love this car! Not a single issue with it so far! Wish Ford still made them. I know with new and used truck prices being currently outrageous a lot of people want cars and I could sell 6 of them for Ford right now. Friend and co-workers are impressed with my Fusion, especially seeing I'm getting 30 MPG. I have a friend and a niece who each have a Fusion and they love their cars.
2015 model 166,000 miles and had to replace a blower motor last year and the backup camera last week. Absolutely got my money’s worth and she’s not done serving me yet. Very happy with that vehicle.
Update: 179,000 and since last posting I’ve done water pump, belt, rear shocks, and struts. Still love it and I’m about to buy a used 2016 titanium turbo with 101,000 on it for $6500. May still keep the old one too.
Thank you for making this video, my 2016 Fusion was crashed while parked (No idea who it was so I had to pay out of pocket) and now that I finally got it back I appreciate it even more; Therefore I want to take even better care of it and this video helped a lot, thanks again. .
Wife has a hybrid titanium fusion. Factory battery is the way to go. Paid 150 at the dealer for a new Motorcraft battery in a larger than standard size (2 batteries were in the parts system for the car one was bigger and price for both were the same). Dealer ran a special they put it in free and it has a 36 month full replacement warranty. Parts store batteries in the same size were 50 dollars more.
My 2013 Fusion has been a very good car. Replaced an axle seal and that was the only repair in 120,000 miles other than general maintenance. As you said fun car to drive also.
I have 2016 SE Luxury edition. I got it new with extended warranty. Glad I did. Dealership did all scheduled maintenance and oil changes. It made it to 80,000 before it blew the head gasket and all the coolant bent rod and valves. It was just out of manufacture warranty and I was still making payments. Luckily my extended policy deductible was $100.00. Ford and dealership took care of new engine and work. I still drive it and it is still my favorite vehicle. 30mph and all blacked out. Eats tires and several batteries but no other issues than break pads and oil line to turbo had to be replaced.
I have the British version which we call the Mondeo Mk5. Had a Mk3 for 10 years which was a great car. Came into some money so bought a 2016 2.0 Titanium with an X pack including 19"alloys. Beautiful car in Deep Impact Blue and only 25k miles. This is a useful video to let me know what to look out for.
I just purchased a 2020 fusion titanium AWD and so excited to own this vehicle plus my brother works at Ford so he can help me with maintenance!! Great video thank you
Excellent video! I get one tomorrow and had one a year older and loved it. Being the 2nd Fusion owned, these I know are super-fantastic, comfortable, reliable, & awsome!!! Thanks for all the great info and your fabulous knowledge researched.
I have read quite a few of the comments here. I leased my 2019-20 Ford Fusion Energi Titanium as new and having only done 12000 miles with the car always garaged. It still smells brand new inside with not a mark on the car. Until the recall a month ago when the dealer disconnected the plug-in awaiting a new battery to be fitted in October I was avaeraging 120 mpg with most of my trips round turn less than 22 miles. The car has been flawless except for maintenance under warranty with the A/C. I have had about 60 cars in my life and this is definitely one of the best. People who do not own a Fusion do not know what they are missing. I am astounded at some of the large mileages mentioned in the comments. Ford offered to buy the vehicle back a few weeks ago offering an excellent price but I would not consider selling under $35000 because I just cannot replace it. Ford was ahead of the market with the features they have included in all Fusions. I cannot believe the decision by Ford to cancel the vehicle in July 2020. It is so much better to drive than a SUV or crossover. I am temptd to buy also 2020 AWD 2 litre turbo Titanium. It would also be a great version to have.
I almost bought a sport model a few years ago. It was the last Fusion they had and never to get another one. I wish they would start making them again.
2015 Fusion Energi Titanium. One major issue was the cvt transmission was replaced under warranty (I suspect this was not necessary). Otherwise the car has been flawless. Quiet, crazy efficient, handles like a high-dollar sports car. I avearge 65mpg due to the plug-in trick. The engine normally does not turn on during my daily 16-mile commute.
The trans is known to commonly blow from 80-120k miles in these fusions, they ran way too hot for stock fluids. Also, the bearings they used in some fusions were not properly heat treated so they shred up prematurely. You had one of those situations. Mine is starting to sound funny even though I replaced trans fluid at 60k miles with overengineered Amsoil fluid... I'm afraid I have the bearing issue with just 1 month left on warranty!!
My parents got me the 2013 Titanium and it’s bright red last month. I’ll never forget seeing it and thinking it was at least 2018. It truly has been aging well and the red makes it looks even newer. I love the spoiler, brake lights, paddle shifters, and AWD. The titanium package really gives it that spunk for me. It has 93K miles on it and so far it’s been good for me fingers crossed. However there are some cons… the visibility is quite meh especially for blind spots, awful mpg in the city like wtf and the MyTouch is so weird when playing my music!! 🔥
I bought a 2016 Fusion SE in August 2020 with 133,842miles on it. It now has 153,235 miles. Been a damn good car. Doesn't leak, burn or drip any oil. I did have an issue with my transmission and ended up replacing it under warranty from the dealer I got the car from. I had a $600 co-pay on a $3500 repair. Not bad. I had to replace both front control arms and it does need struts and shocks soon. It handled great before the new control arms but superb after. It has been the most reliable car I have ever owned and I am looking to upgrade to a 2018 or 2019 Titanium or Sport model. I have the 1.5L turbo eco-boost. Last July I was rear-ended by an idiot chick too busy looking at her cell phone. Did over $5000 worth of damage. Surprisingly, no glass or taillight was broken, but ever since she hit me my stereo stopped making sound. It comes on but no sound. Before it stopped working it sounded like it was shorting somewhere, but I can't find the preamp. Everything I have looked up says it is located in the trunk on the passenger side...not so. Does anyone out there have a clue as to why it would stop working? Any ideas on how to get it back. Where is the pre-amp? I miss my music. Great video Nutz...I highly recommend for anyone to invest in a Fusion, that has been taken care of. Well worth it.
I’m on my 3rd one keep upgrading. I’m in a 2017 Sport. Love it. 5.4 0 to 60 AWD.. also I have Husky Liners front and back and trunk. Truly lifetime mats. You will love them .
My Godmother his a 2016 she have had since 2015. Barely drive it. She just turned 36k miles yesterday. Her tires was dry rot last year. I love driving it. Great mpg. Oh she has the SE
Rented a fusionhybrid back in 2018, tried to buy it from the Rental company but it was still a new fleet vehicle.. vowed to find another.. Found a 2020 Fusion Hybrid Titanium with 9300 miles and remaining ford warranty. Excited for vehicle pickup for sure!
my brother and i just bought the 2016 se fusion with the 1.5 turbo, when we shift to drive u can feel the shakiness on the cabin, and also it kicks, we got 3 days with it, 148k miles, but in general we like it, carfax show a well take care of, but i need to check that transmission oil just in case, looks pretty good and reliable, hopefully we stick with it for many years
We had a 2015 Fusion SE with alot of options that we bought used with about 10K miles on it. Kept it five years and traded it at our Ford dealer for a new Hybrid Escape. Wife loves her Escape. I miss the Fusion. I might get another one for my daily driver. Not one issue ever with that car.
I love how you explain the video in detail and I was waiting for you to explain more when you got inside of the car like when you was pressing the down arrow button to show us the screen.... And also waiting for you to explain the touch screen version of what it all could do but it's okay I'll figure it out you still did a great job keep going on the videos you can tell that you're a real mechanic🎉❤😊
I love this video I believe everything that you say in this video to be both true and accurate. Many people just need to keep up with the maintenance and baby the car in that regard and the car will be reliable.
I have a 2016 Ford Fusion hybrid se, i absolutely love this car. Maintenance is relatively low, stylish (13 - 20 look very identical), and gets great gas mileage. The only problem i had with the car was the throttle body; i had to replace it at around 103 - 104 thousand miles. Other than that, i just did general maintenance: all four spark plugs (OEM), V12 battery, all season tires, engine air filters, cabin air filter, change the oil every 4 - 5 thousand miles ( 0w20 Mobil 1 and oem filter), and fully LED the exterior lights. I highly recommend this vehicle! The one thing i will say before purchasing a used one is to get it throughly inspected by a trusted professional.
I had a Ruby Red 2019 SE Fusion for just two months before I managed to hit a tree and total it. When I bought it, I was desperate for a hybrid and I was wasn’t that excited about the Fusion, but I learned to really love it in the two months I had it. I’m replacing it with another 2019 Fusion Titanium in Velocity Blue (My favorite color!). I ordered it off Vroom, which I may regret because of the waiting time it takes to get your car, but their just weren’t many choices in Fusion Hybrids locally.
I found a 2013 " S " with 17,000 on it a few years ago, it has been reasonably reliable except for a few electric faults that I chalk up to it being a " first year " model. The 2.5 isn't fast, but it is dang near bulletproof.
I have a 2014 Fusion Ti. I only have a 120k on it but it never breaks. I have replaced the purge valve (Less the $300) and that is about it. I bought it new, it is one of the best cars I have ever owned. I have never gone over 5000 miles for a oil change.
I have a 2014 Fusion Titanium, 82000 miles, so far, a battery, tires, and an evap code. The evap code was due to the EZ fill flapper valve showing a very small leak. I lubed it with some silicone spray, clicked it several times with the emergency fill funnel. cleared it, and it appears to be fixed. Mine is tuxedo black with black leather. I bought it in 2018 with 27000 miles, Ford certified, $20k out the door.
2018 2.0 SE AWD with 269k miles on it. No major issues yet. Around 45k miles the APIM quit, so I don’t have a functioning infotainment system or backup camera. At 76k miles the evaporator canister was replaced. I replaced the purge valve thing at the same time. Other than that, regular expected repairs such as wheel hubs assemblies, battery replacement. Currently I’m waiting on parts to replace lower control arms.
the biggest flaw to these gen fusions from 2013 to mid 2019 was the coolant intrusion issues. If ford really cared about their buyers, then they would issue at least a recall inspection for all 1.5L,1.6L and 2.0L ecoboost engines during these model years and replace the block with the updated version if needed.
@@mitchellcorona8 but it's not like every single block was effected just certain ones that may have been effected. The Valenca Spain manufactured ecoboost engines don't seem to be nearly as effected as the Cleveland Ohio manufactured ecoboost engines for some reason.
Coolant changes are part of normal maintenance. That's not to say it wasn't just impacted blocks, but not changing the coolant at least every 24 months or at the manufacturers' recommend intervals opens the opportunity for electrolysis to create deposits that impact block passages and gasket seals in ANY vehicle.
@@terrylmcpherson5610 that's not the issue. the cylinder walls were to thin to put a slit passage through between cylinders 3 and 4 resulting in cracks between the upper portion of cylinder wall leading to coolant intrusion.
My 2016 fusion hybrid has 323,500 miles and still sounds like a new car when you close the door. Total silence when driving. No rattles no engine lights whatsoever. It’s had its moments when it’s time to change fluids or lights but so far so good. I like the car. 40 MPG. It’s my second fusion. The first one only made it 170,000 before I saw rust on the frame and traded it away
I owned a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. It was the most reliable car I've ever owned, much more reliable than the two Lexus vehicles I owned at the same time. The Fusion never left me stranded. The only problem I ever had was an O2 sensor that failed after eight years. I liked it so much that I traded it in for a 2019 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I now get 44 to 45 mpg. This one has also never left me stranded. Only issue so far has been with the fuel cap vent valve, which Ford replaced under warranty. Damn you, Ford, for discontinuing the Fusion.
@@Llysian The Ford dealer replaced the O2 sensor at no charge. I don't remember if it was covered by the extended warranty or the California emissions warranty.
@@jimmurray8483 ES300 and RX300. They both had problems with the ignition coils going bad. The RX300 also had a starter that failed after just one year. Also, numerous issues with California emissions equipment.
I have a stock fully loaded 15 Titanium 2.0L Turbo, (Oxford white), 18" Wheels, Red Leather interior with Driver assist package. Its my 5th Ford and my 2nd Fusion. Before that I had a 13 SE 1.6L Turbo (Ingot Grey), Beige Leather Interior with the Driver assist package. That got wrecked when some idiot blew a red light. That's how I found out how many airbags this car actually has. I like the size, Heated/cooled seats, handling, outward visibility, overall styling and Overall crash safety rating. Shit I dislike: 1) Halogen lights up front. Ford should've went with LEDs to match the rear or at least made it an optional package. 2) This car eats rear brake pads. Have to replace them about twice as often as the fronts. 3} Oil seals on the 13's turbo started leaking at bout 70K miles and it started puffing blue smoke out the tail pipe occasionally during a cold start. Luckily I was still under the powertrain warranty so Ford replaced it. My 15 is staring to show the same signs but I'm at 100k so im beyond warranty coverage this time. I bought both of them Ford Certified Preowned. The 15 has had a few more issues than the 13....rear left side brake caliper piston seal failed at 96k. not a big thing, swapped it out. The biggest pain in the ass thing I find is changing blown head light bulbs. Early 2nd Gen models you have to basically remove the front bumper cover (or at least undo the top section) to get the headlight housings out to get at the bulbs. Some people claim to be able to do it with them mounted but Its virtually impossible unless you have baby hands. Not a difficult job just tedious. A few torx bolts up top and a shit load of plastic retainer clips to remove. I believe this was just an attempted money grab by Ford to get people to come in for a "Headlight Service." Coincidentally they modified the front of the engine bay on the later 2nd Gen Fusions to make changing the bulbs easier. Oh yeah, Ford Sync 2 MyFord Touch is painfully slow and laggy. Microsoft did a bad job at the interface. Sync 3 is much better, Blackberry did a better job with the interface. The scariest failure, I feel the need to point this out in particular: Brake booster vacuum pump. Instead of tapping the intake manifold for a vacuum source, Ford decided to use a dedicated mechanically powered vacuum pump for the brake booster. Its powered by the camshaft via a small drive adapter bolt that spins the shaft of the pump. At 95k the pump on my 15 suddenly seized up and I lost my power brakes almost immediately. I had a good 2 or 3 pumps (thanks to the check valve) and then brake pedal turned into a brick. Luckily I was parked at a gas station a few blocks from the crib and not at highway speeds with my wife driving. The problem with this design is if the pump seizes up when the motor is running the torque from the still spinning camshaft will almost always snap the drive adapter in half. If you're lucky it will shear off cleanly and you'll end up with only two pieces when you remove the pump. The loose end connected to the pump might be rattling around and the threaded bolt end should still be screwed into the end of the camshaft. That part can be removed with a bolt extractor or a pair of needle nose vise grips or pliers if enough of it is still sticking out. The pump is easily accessible and takes about ten minutes to replace. If you're unlucky, the drive adapter will shatter into many pieces and fall into the engine and you might have to replace the whole top end of the motor.
I live in Colombia and have a 2017 fusion titanium plus, that’s the top of them and have already 41k km, in here we don’t use miles, maintenance in ford service, little bit expensive but the car runssss like new, and not a single complain! Ok, maybe one, fuel consumption, but I don’t care, is so fun to drive and a man have to pay for its toys!!!!
I only recommend buying the 2.0 in the 2013-2020 SE or Titanium or get the sport. Get a warranty bc of the transmission but immediately service the transmission fluid and get a tune up. Love the fusion. I have a 2014 Titanium 2.0
@@Samano101 yes the 2013-2016 fusion comes in a 1.5, 2.5, and 2.0 the 2.0 is the only version with a turbo that comes in a SE more basic version or a Titanium the Titanium has power everything, leather interior, heated seats, & a sunroof the SE doesn't have that. Side note after having this car for over 4.5 years I believe everything that he says in this video to be very true and accurate based on my personal experience and others as I'm in 3 fusion groups.
Bought mine new in 2015. Got the se 2.5 duratec. Had to replace lug nuts and I noticed it uses more coolant than other engines I’ve owned. It eats the battery alive so you can’t let it sit for a week without trickle charging it. Other than that the car has been great. Extra comfortable and good on gas. No transmission issues or anything. Got 86k on it and plan on putting another 80k. My sync system is a little buggy at times. I use royal purple oil every 4-5k miles.
Replace the coolant reservoir cap and check all the coolant hoses for leaks. It shouldn't be going though coolant at all, especially since the 2.5 doesn't suffer from the coolant intrusion issues like the Ecoboosts.
@@OhPhuckYou right. I have a 2018 and had to replace it with the updated block! My pockets are still recovering! Those older EcoBoost models will fail at any random moment! Hope folks know
Drove a 2015 Titanium for several years and put 75k on it. I would put the Fusion against any Camry, Accord or whatever. Besides oil changes, 1 battery, 2 sets of brakes absolutely nothing went wrong. It had 112k when I traded it in. The CEL was on for purge valve but as I said it was an amazing car
I had the purge valve issue. The worst symptom was rough running after refill. Since the assembly looked crazy I decided to cut and splice the new one in instead of replacing the entire thing. Used some old fuel line and tiny hose clamps to splice it in. It's been working well.
I use to have a 2012 ford fusion bought it used 135 k miles sold it this year got a new ford edge but i love the fusions never had alot of problems with mine
I bought a 2019 Ford fusion, about a year ago, I love it and it's fun to drive. I needed a new battery and went to a parts store and they directed me to go to a shop; they couldn't put the battery in, but didn't say why.
Just to say, I just bought a 2018 Ford Fusion Titanium and I like what I got so far. There may be things later in the future but, I like it so far. I also appreciate what you brought out about it. I am also looking for video on the functions of the entertainment system. Not just the music, but the Bluetooth, the pairing my Android phone, the lights (specifically if there is a timer to turn off the headlights. That's it for now. I do appreciate you for doing this.
I bought a 2017 Ford Fuison Sport with the 2.7 L twin turbo V6 only issue l have had was replacing the tires these 19 inch tires are hard to find it had the Continental tires l replaced them with Cooper Tires other than that l haven't had any issues, love this car and with 330 hp l have left quite a few 3 series Bimmers eating my twin turbo dust !!! 😎😎😎
I on a 2007 se model and the experience with it is amazing, first thing, it ran without transmission fluid for 100km ,cause transmission plate broke big time, change the plate the filter and a gallon of the proper fluid, and 1 year later still running around, issues free🎉🎉.
Very good tips I’m looking at buying the se model & will be checking for everything top, bottom, back & forth. Heard around that everyone who owns these cars are very happy with them.
I have a 2020 Ford Fusion Titanium.,63,000 miles I love all the cool features rides smoothly an have great safety protection when driving So far only problem when I step on gas feels like it pulls a bit slight jump.I be getting that service to be for sure it's nothing major
I had a battery replaced at one of those Ford quick lane places and it was only like $20 charge for labor. I also had the 2.5 4 cylinder. Auto zone may have replaced my battery
Just purchased a used 2020 Titanium and i love it. The mobile hotspot, the get up and go, the sport option on the tranny. Also dislike the expensive tires. Mine came with Firestone Firehawks. Not looking forward to replacing them. I was going to ask a question about the knob shifter but i dont think the 2014 came with that yet.
I got a 2020 also with the sport option. I love that car. I went from a 2001 Ford Ranger 255,500 miles, no power window or locks, just bare minimum 4x4. Had it for 21 years. Imagine going from that to the 2020 Titanium. 😂
Still in the process of getting a 2017 Ford Fusion sport! I drove it off the lot 5 days ago but it was leaking air pressure every time I got on the highway over 60 mph. So I had to drop it off to get the tire and a bearing replacement. Hopefully they won't try to charge me for something before I even own it technically. But I can't wait to get it back! I absolutely love it! So high-tech and fun to drive. It makes me feel safe with all the driving assistance like smart cruise control, blind spot detection. Plus, showing me the exact psi of each tire has especially been helpful, lol. I just wanted a new car with Bluetooth and I definitely got it. The only thing I think needs improvement is the stereo could be louder and needs more bass.
Buying a 2015 fusion loaded by my brother..5 k place a big boy Suzuki touring bike 1500 cc 90 CID. The car is a third of asking price , you see on line.. fully loaded.. Hope it takes my where I wanna go… Go you Harley ‘s to😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨😂😂

Hi I’m about to buy 2016 Fusion Titanium with 80 k red. I love it the color the ride and the appearance package. Should I go for it , would you recommend it!
I don't have the same year. I have a 2016 model... I'm at 94k miles now... I've had Zoro issues with this vehicle... I did have to replace the battery about a year ago...I had no issues. $200 battery, but nothing special needed. I'm about to start changing belts and struts..I haven't changed the transmission fluid yet, but I guess it should be done every 30k
I just got my hands on a 2017 Ford Fusion SPORT 2.7L V6 Twin-Turbo "Ecoboost" 325hp/380lb-ft torque on 93 gas. It's got about 68K miles on it, and when test driving it, it still pulled hard. I just ordered an SCT Tune that's going to push it to 385hp/450lb-ft torque safely, I'm definitely changing the transmission oil every 15k-20k miles, and engine oil every 5k miles.
I have a 2013 SE 1.6 turbocharged and just did a full led swap on the head lights we had to remove the head lights Assemblies to do so but I did buy this car used at 150k and it's been a great car so far guy that owed it before me hard it from 48k and all service records with the car
Change the transmission fluid every 30k miles or so because you can’t easily change the transmission filter since you have to remove the transmission to do so.
One more thing. Salvage yards can be your best friends. I had a 1997 for Taurus SHO fantastic car, very fast 8cyl they stopped making so many parts for it. About the only places I could get parts was from two Salvage yards. Rusty Acres in Jacksonville, FL, good place (they only sale Ford/ Mercury/ Lincoln parts) and a place in Washington State. All the sell are SHO parts. Very soon in the near future its going to be an issue. In the past a manufacturer had to make parts for their cars for 20 years. Thats no longer true. So keep that in mind in general. Obviously the more popular Is vehicles you'll be able to get parts longer.
One more thing I forgot to mention. I invested in the Forscan program and an ELM327 OBD2 USB adapter. It is a great tool to have for customizing most of the features on the car, run and clear any DTC and it has an oscilloscope. Pretty cool.
Really appreciate this video. I just started looking at a 2016 Fusion and I have a bit of concerns. This video helped a lot to answer some. Great stuff man
Thanks for the usefull information. I have a 2012 4 cyl. It is a great car. A bit low to the ground for me. I had an SUV before this vehicle. Scotty Killmer recomened the 2012. The 14 and newer had more electronics to cost you more in the shop when things go wrong. I like the ride for a small car and gas mileage was better then expected about 25-35. The 2010-2012 had Electronic Power steering issues that can be costly if it needs a new Rack & Pinion.
I have a 2013 but it’s got the tiny 1.6L ecoboost motor, I’m thinking about trading it in for a newer model Sport with the TTv6 and AWD. I like the idea of basically having a sports car in a family car disguise 👍🏻😊
Just picked up a 2018 fusion titanium (my second fusion with a 6f35) both engine and transmission fluid change intervals are just a guarantee for manufacturers that you’ll need a new car sooner than later. I got 68k miles change my oil myself every 3k with full synthetic. Full synthetic isn’t magic even if it says 5k+ miles do it in 3 if it says 10 do it in 5 but I wouldn’t even let a car go 5k if it’s got more than 50k miles on it. Only time I’d feel comfortable doing an oil change every 5k is if the car is brand new and still under warranty. As far as transmission fluid recommended is every 60k most people do every 30k I do it every 10k it’s $40 worth of fluid and a 30 minute job when doing yourself… so why wait?
Gotta say, I have a base model 2017 fusion S, with 79,000 miles, the evaporator for the AC needs to be replaced which is a 9-12 hour job to take the entire dash apart to get to it, and replace all the radiator hoses, totaling about $6,000 or more in costs to repair this car. 😭 I'm trusting that as I do fix it it will be a good car, but my confidence has been shaken as I didn't expect anything close to this in a car under 100,000 miles
Just inherited this exact car from an old lady and it has 45K on it. Always garaged too. Love it and it hauls ass. Thinkin on putting some rims and tint on it. One thing I'd like to know is where is the subwoofer in it and what is it?
I have a 2013 fusion SE with turbo. I currently have 119k on the clock and I have had almost the same issues as yours except my rims are 18''. The good thing is I do all the servicing by myself and I have had little issues with the car. It currently runs fine with no check engine or any other service light on the instrument cluster. If you decide to sell those 19'' rims, do hook me up. I will be very much interested.
Their then Ceo who stepped down and was replaced made a decision to nix all sedan segment vehicles they had. They saw that more and more people were buying trucks for construction and odd jobs and side jobs which the economy did cater to, and then making more suvs to cater to more newly growing families. I think eventually Ford is going to have to get back into the sedan segment sector because too many people still want them and they’ll lose out on a lot of money forgoing it.
I have a 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium. 466,000 miles and still going strong. Only major issues I’ve had were replacing the catalytic converter @400,000 and a recent electronic steering assist issue. No car payment since 2017! Best car I’ve ever owned!
Wow that’s a lot of miles
Take a picture and post it on milage please. Would love to show all the haters
Whatd you drive to the moon? Thats a lot of miles in not a lot of time
Wow that's amazing!!!!! I just bought a 2016 SE AWD with all kinds of extras and love it. I've had Hyundai's the last few cars and this is my first Ford.
@@ThezNutzGarage hey did you make a video of you changing the transmission fluid?? You sound like someone I could understand
Your welcome.
You’re going to love the car, as long as it isn’t a lemon
The 2014 with 220,000 miles on it what happened to it ?
Hello,
I'am French and i own my first Ford fusion hybrid (Mondéo hybride in France😅) vignale 59000 km 2018.
I'm 54 years old, and i must say it is a wonderful car.
I'm very very happy 😄.
Best car i have driven.
I love my car😅
Great job Ford!!

I bought the car with 35,000 miles and now it has 216,000
I have never replaced a suspension part.
I replaced the resonator and now the catalytic converter needs to be replaced.
One recall- fixed for free
Car is running fine no electrical issues.

Did the transmission ever fail? I want to buy a 2014 Fusion se
What exactly do you mean by best car you've ever owned? The most reliable? Fun to drive? Would love to know
@@jimmurray8483 the best car that was reliable, cheap regarding maintenance
@@JASONHN nope not yet

I have the same car I bought two years ago, the only issue I have had is with the Bluetooth module. I could not connect to sync and needed a new module. Other then that I have put on 80000km and have not had to replace a single thing.

I have a 2018 ford fusion (used) I’ve had it for nearly a year and I’ll tell you, it’s very well worth its money. Wouldn’t trade it for anything!
Love ours
I am getting one on Monday or Tuesday. It'll be my second Fusion, 4th car. It also is a 2018. I had my previous one for a little over 2 years until someone backed into it last week and totaled it
Got my 2017 Ford fusion back in October! It’s my first car and I’m in love with it.
It’s to bad Ford stopped making the Fusions.

I will have some new videos coming out on this car in the future.
Great video thank you
Is it a reliable car for a first car thinking about buying one?
I have a 14 1.5, just did a 100,000 service 🙏🙏
2015 Fusion Energi Titanium. One major issue was the cvt transmission was replaced under warranty (I suspect this was not necessary). Otherwise the car has been flawless. Quiet, crazy efficient, handles like a high-dollar sports car. I avearge 65mpg due to the plug-in trick. The engine normally does not turn on during my daily 16-mile commute.
Imagine the engine not even turning on once wow 🤩 im impressed by the energi I ended up getting the hybrid verson
I did a trans fluid change at 40k & plan to every 40k
Nice package group.
How bad is the miles per gallon?
About 26-28 mpg

It's worth a shot, but locate the Sync fuse and pull it to reset the Sync system.
You replace the transmission in the fusion? I'm getting an used 123000 miles 2017. Hopefully it turns out good in long runn
I’m on my 3rd one keep upgrading. I’m in a 2017 Sport. Love it. 5.4 0 to 60 AWD.. also I have Husky Liners front and back and trunk. Truly lifetime mats. You will love them .

Thanks for this helpful video. I'm in the process of buying a 2015 Fusion and you have been very helpful.

2013 fusion and a transmission a week after I purchased it only had 106k
I found a 2013 " S " with 17,000 on it a few years ago, it has been reasonably reliable except for a few electric faults that I chalk up to it being a " first year " model. The 2.5 isn't fast, but it is dang near bulletproof.
Yeah I have the 2014 2.5L I expect the transmission to die long before the engine does
I have a 2014 Fusion Ti.
Question: can your EZ fill inner flapper valve be pushed in with your finger, or does it lock? Mine wont lock.
Replacing the block would bankrupt ford.
@@mitchellcorona8 but it's not like every single block was effected just certain ones that may have been effected. The Valenca Spain manufactured ecoboost engines don't seem to be nearly as effected as the Cleveland Ohio manufactured ecoboost engines for some reason.
My 2017 2.0t blew at like 55k miles. Dealer replaced with the upgraded port one

I used to be a Ford loyalist before switching to Toyota, but I might be in the market again soon. Definitely will consider this car on my search.
Bro my 02 sensor is also failing on the same model, it keeps failing the smog check because of this. Were you able to fix it?
@@Llysian The Ford dealer replaced the O2 sensor at no charge. I don't remember if it was covered by the extended warranty or the California emissions warranty.
What type of lexus cars did you have?
@@jimmurray8483 ES300 and RX300. They both had problems with the ignition coils going bad. The RX300 also had a starter that failed after just one year. Also, numerous issues with California emissions equipment.
@miamivicefanatic9736 Strange... what year ES300? Incredibly reliable cars
Shit I dislike:
1) Halogen lights up front.
The scariest failure, I feel the need to point this out in particular:
Brake booster vacuum pump.
2.0 being 2 liter?
@@Samano101 yes the 2013-2016 fusion comes in a 1.5, 2.5, and 2.0 the 2.0 is the only version with a turbo that comes in a SE more basic version or a Titanium the Titanium has power everything, leather interior, heated seats, & a sunroof the SE doesn't have that. Side note after having this car for over 4.5 years I believe everything that he says in this video to be very true and accurate based on my personal experience and others as I'm in 3 fusion groups.
I just bought a used 2012 Ford Fusion SEL yesterday & so far I love it!
Hope folks know
@Lord Don
I used to own a 2016 ford fusion, sell the car asap trust me.
Coolant leaks into cylinder heads, ford is being sued for this rn
@@rememberberries4277 I'm in too deep! I have the new revised block from 2019 in the car now... fingers crossed
I bought a 2011 fusion se with the 4cyl duratec a bit over two years ago and its been great!
Yeah I have thought about that.
The computer has to be reset for the new battery. I have never done that and my batteries last about 5 years.
Smart great call on testing your oil using Amsoil. Great choice on other fluids.
That’s a fast little car. I have a 2.7 in our Edge sport.
Wow! Great video. I am seeing exactly what you did. Camera going schizo, purge valve, rear shocks all around 100k miles.
Thank you, what I needed to know. I'm driving a 2018 Ford fusion. Love my car. Will view more of your channels.
Glad to help
I have a 2020 Ford Fusion Titanium.,63,000 miles I love all the cool features rides smoothly an have great safety protection when driving So far only problem when I step on gas feels like it pulls a bit slight jump.I be getting that service to be for sure it's nothing major
I love the car, super sharp beautiful sedan ,one of if the the best looking sedan in our opinion and im sure many others.💙👍
I had a battery replaced at one of those Ford quick lane places and it was only like $20 charge for labor. I also had the 2.5 4 cylinder. Auto zone may have replaced my battery
I think Autozone will replace them now.
I own a 2014 Fusion. No complaints from me either. 2.0 EcoBoost engine zero issues.
Same 2014, zero issues.
Do you guys have the titanium version ? And does it have apple car play?
Hope it takes my where I wanna go…
Go you Harley ‘s to😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨😂😂
I Have A 2016 Titanium With 65000 . Love It . It’s Been Hit Twice, Once On The Driver Side Skins Needed To Be Replaced , And I Hit A Dog One Night. That Was Expensive. Mine Looks Just Like Yours. Thanks For Sharing 👍🤗
Hope the dog was okay☹️
I bought one with 216 k on it and it's going great so far. No issues
Our Edge sport has the 2.7 in it.
I have a 2013 SE 1.6 turbocharged and just did a full led swap on the head lights we had to remove the head lights Assemblies to do so but I did buy this car used at 150k and it's been a great car so far guy that owed it before me hard it from 48k and all service records with the car
You do great on your videos. Easy listening and very informative. Thank you
Great info, I really like my 2014 Ford Fusion.
Just got a 2020 for fusion hybrid. Very neat car, reminds me of my 2005 prius just bigger! Love all the standard gadgets out comes with too .
Really appreciate this video. I just started looking at a 2016 Fusion and I have a bit of concerns. This video helped a lot to answer some. Great stuff man
My 17 year old just got a 2017 with turbo at 80 some thousand miles. Hope it’s a good car for her.
Have a 2013 fusion. Best car ever. Reliable vehicle.
I have a 2013 but it’s got the tiny 1.6L ecoboost motor, I’m thinking about trading it in for a newer model Sport with the TTv6 and AWD. I like the idea of basically having a sports car in a family car disguise 👍🏻😊
I would love to have a sport fusion. We have an Edge Sport. Very fast for an suv.
👩🏿💻Me just browsing/ research ford fusion...then...The name of the channel though..🤔🤔🤣😂🤣😂🤣...hilarious. THUMBS UP ON VIDEO!
Thank you.
I'm trusting that as I do fix it it will be a good car, but my confidence has been shaken as I didn't expect anything close to this in a car under 100,000 miles
Just inherited this exact car from an old lady and it has 45K on it. Always garaged too. Love it and it hauls ass. Thinkin on putting some rims and tint on it. One thing I'd like to know is where is the subwoofer in it and what is it?
Rear window deck. I put new tires and wheel on the car several months back.
I bought mine in 2019 a 2013 fusion titanium with that exact specs, with the same rims and paint, bought it for $5,000 great deal.
Yeah that is a great deal!
Mileage over 100k?
@@Fume1337 bough it with 97xxx miles now has like 120xxx
@Alex Allard no, i bought it and drove back home in it.
I will keep you in mind. I can have them powder coated for about $300.00
What the hell did you just said ? You have and issue or not ?
I have a 2012 SEL AWD V6 AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT.
That’s a fine car right there but not near as fine as you! Your wife is one lucky lady!!
Why thank you darling.
Oh hell nah 😂😂💀
I got 2018 ford fusion hybrid. Love it. Don't know why Ford decided to stop making them???
Their then Ceo who stepped down and was replaced made a decision to nix all sedan segment vehicles they had. They saw that more and more people were buying trucks for construction and odd jobs and side jobs which the economy did cater to, and then making more suvs to cater to more newly growing families. I think eventually Ford is going to have to get back into the sedan segment sector because too many people still want them and they’ll lose out on a lot of money forgoing it.
