The extra screw is for that threaded hole partially underneath the LED flash. The metal-rubber bracket is supposed to be used to keep the bottom board's connector fixed in place in case you drop your phone.
Yeah I was about to say, the metal bracket is to hold down a ribbon cable connector, the screw is either for that, or you missed a spot lol

@@Etienne_H but old chargers are super slow and the chargers that we used to get were optimized for that device. They do this just for money.
For some reason I find it hilarious that someone at OnePlus watches Zack’s videos, thought it’d be funny to send him parts and then probably had some type of meeting or there is some type of official corporate correspondence planning what is essentially a joke.

Trust me, it is more scary when you have leftover screws... You don't even know what you missed
well when I took apart my old Fujitsu laptop (to put new CPU and GPU thermal paste in and clean the fans), I found I had 1 screw less than required to put it all back together... and no, I didn't lose the last screw. So I just took it from a donor laptop and my fully built laptop now has an extra screw somewhere it probably shouldn't :D

Always like watching this, also having a proper tear-down of a phone helps to understand what goes into these devices we use every day. This time around - tear-ups ... think more manufacturers should do this, then they would realize not to put the stupid mic wholes at the same place every time. These guys are watching, good for them.

One day I opened my laptop for the first time and there's one screw that didn't hold into anything then I continue opened it and cleaned my laptop. After that I put everything back together and the screw actually holding one of a HDD bracket hole. But now I has a few screw that I don't know where to put,my memory lost just like that and then I keep the screw into a box lol

It did NOT.
He started at 1% and the system was booted up.
If you have a true 0% phone, thus the battery is dead, then you need those extra 2 minutes and maybe even more.
Some phones even take minutes just to power up when the battery is fully depleted and you hook the charger up.

@@Roomer645 actually the phone charges while it's booting up. And I think the first 1% is the fastest percent to charge as charging starts at the fastest speed and slows down as the percentage goes up

You really need to have a dead phone and then do a time check and i am willing to bet that it won't be below 29 mins ....
The bracket go on the flex cable on the bottom in the right side and the screw go under the flash LED !!
btw battery are usually install in last just before the bezel with the charging coil, you lift the flex cable and install it... I have OCD so for me the screws are a big requirement.

I have a feeling those leftovers are the holding bracket for the batttery cable connector. I've seen a couple of cellphones that have that to make sure the battery never disconnects by accident whenever there's any impact.
