I understand, that is a problem when dealing with R&W questions. Somehow, you are always able to eliminate 2 options, but sometimes 2 closely related options create confusion. And this is something I believe the college board does to test a student’s nerves. What I did to overcome this and what you can do: 1) Sometimes, I would read the passage aloud (not so loud to disturb other test-takers, but loud enough to be audible to yourself only) 2) Eliminate the options that you think are incorrect, one by one by using the Elimination tool on the application. 3) Identifying the main idea of the text/ blurring out all the irrelevant information and re-reading the important points. 4) And lastly, trust your instincts, and avoid overthinking. If you select one option, just go with it and trust yourself. Focus on the rest of the questions first instead of overthinking about that specific question.
And one more tip, if you are unsure about a question, do mark it for review. And if you are done with rest of the test and still have some time left, don’t forget to recheck that marked question through the Review Page.
For the practice tests and qas tests did you time yourself or not? If you did what was the timing for each section? Also did you practice only the us tests or also the international ones? I hope this makes sense. Thank you.
Yes, I always timed myself and I believe that doing so is extremely crucial while preparing for your test. Many students know the solutions and concepts but they end up scoring less just because they were unable to properly utilize the time. I practiced the 4 international Digital SAT practice tests, and QAS reports (US and international both). As far as the QAS reports are concerned, my focus was mainly on the mathematics sections. I hope this helps :)
Sis please make a video on how to register for DSAT examination. Does DSAT exam consists only english Or maths? I've seen in a video that they have taken biology as a subject test during SAT ! Could you clarify about these subjects matter please! What is the benifits of taking extra subjects test in DSAT?
Sure, I will try making one. Plus, there are two different SAT exams. One is SAT 1, which is the basic or standard test that most universities require. It only consists of English and Mathematics sections. The other one that is confusing you is SAT 2. It is a subject test, which is optional for you to take. For example, if you are applying for a biology-related degree in a university, the university might require SAT 1 + SAT 2 Biology scores. For that, you should always try to first familiarise yourself with the requirements of the university you are applying to. The university I am applying to particularly requires only SAT 1 scores for the degree I want to pursue. I hope that I am clear here :)
Yes, there might be. They mostly test the same concepts, they just change the questions slightly. As long as your concepts are clear, the harder maths questions will not be a problem for you!

for the English section, I wanted to ask if it is enough to use the Khan Academy course and the past papers that you have provided the link for. A reply would mean a lot tyy!!
Heyy sis, thank you this video has really helped me a lot.., thanks for your guidance I have a doubt about the math section that are we allowed to use pencil and paper for solving equations and all and are lose paper sheets or rough sheets given from exam center for math if its allowed....!? how was your way of dealing with math problems.
Hey, it's reall important so can you please tell how you prepared for Maths section as I have also dropped Maths for two years and now it's very difficult to remember everything what we studied . Every video on You Tube is just showing examples and how to solve them but none are explaining the concept first. So, could you please help me with this?
To build your concepts from scratch, I would say there is nothing better than the Khan Academy. Khan Academy’s course helped me refresh my concepts and develop a few new ones. They will take you strategically, first, you will find video explanations and articles related to a topic, then to test your skills there will be a short test and after you complete a unit, there will be a complete unit test and at the end, you can take as many course challenges as you want.
Well i never took a practice test without preparation. I took my first practice test after going through the whole syllabus one time. I scored a 1440 on that very first practice test.
How should I space out the dsat practice tests? I'm taking the december SAT and I have yet to take any of the bluebook tests. Do you have any suggestions?
is it better buy a graphing calculator or to use the inbuild one in the exam? (cause while using the inbuild does it cover the screen, questions or cause any problems?)
You can adjust your inbuilt calculator to avoid these problems beforehand. And i used both for my test, my own calculator plus the inbuilt desmos graphing calculator. You can use either of those, or even both. You should choose wisely considering your own ease.
I have discussed this question in detail in my other video. The questions will not be exactly the same, but they will be quite similar. You will be tested on similar concepts on your actual DSAT as in the practice tests.
Yes, most probably they will provide you with 3 A4 sheets for all the extra work. And yes, you are allowed to take stationery with you. I took a pen and a pencil with me only and i guess that’s what’s allowed only.
I never used one myself, but i have heard that students find Princeton Review, Official SAT prep book, Barron’s and Erica Meltzer’s books as useful resources. However, i believe that these books are much useful for the Paper-based SAT and not for the DSAT (You might use them for the mathematics portion) There are no such books designed specifically to prepare for the DSAT as of now, as far as i know. So until then, there is no better resource to prepare for the DSAT other than Khan Academy. Best of luck!
Please could you please address what type of questions to expect on the exam? Which one is abundant, if you remember: social science or natural science or literature questions? Relative to bluebook ones
Umm well, the type of questions you will see on your actual test will be quite similar to the bluebook ones. I think that I was asked the natural science ones a bit more abundantly than the others I guess, but this is something which varies for every test taker. Each test taker gets a unique set of questions, so it might be natural science for one and literature questions for the other. But overall, it will be balanced.
I have my SAT on aug 26 but I had scored 1100 when it was pen paper SAT last year with 1 to 2 week prep so can I improve my score to 1500 plus on 26 AUG digital SAT...?

Hey girl! I absolutely loved your video and I have one thing to ask that a lot of My seniors have told me that questions will be kind of repeated from college board practice test do you experience these things or you found completely new questions?😊 Thanks 👍
Hello! Thank you very much ☺️ Well, no. There will be a set of completely new questions, I believe. However, you will see the repetition of ideas and concepts. Similar questions might be asked, but not ‘same’ questions.
Hello!! Well I don’t really read much now apart from my course books haha. But i used to read a lot as a child. Reading novels and magazines etc. will surely help you improve your scores in the Reading and Writing section. If you want to read a book regarding SATs preparation, you might want to try Erica Meltzer’s book. I never used it myself, but many many top scorers find it useful. Best of luck!!
you said that you prepared for 50 days and studied for hours everyday...but since you only used khan academy, how did the sources not end in the few days? like once you were done with khan academy did you re watch it?

Hey , I have some questions .. 1.how did you prepare for vocabulary part (those hard and complex words) 2. how can we get access to QAS reports ? ( not given SAT till today )
Well, I guess my vocabulary was already pretty good so I did not face any problem while preparing for those questions on the DSAT. You can prepare some frequently used vocabulary words from the lists given in the books, or from Google, and the technique of ‘root words’ always works, so you can try that as well. You can access QAS reports from the link I have added in the pinned comment or from Reddit.
can you please tell me what you did to manage time for the English section? like I know the answers, but I cannot manage my time on the English section so can you please reply regarding that? also did you improve your English speed by reading novels or something like that?
Yes, sure. Well, I think what really worked out for me is that I would save a lot of time by not reading the question again and again. Reading the question carefully is very important but I guess not for the DSAT, because I already knew what was ahead of me. I was so familiar with the types of questions and their order that I already knew what I had to answer in a certain question. Like for example, the first 4-5 words in context questions. I knew that the question was about finding the right word to fit in the blank, so while reading the passage I would not focus on extra information but my focus used to be on finding the synonyms and definitions and looking out for the transition words. So you can increase your speed by blurring out the extra information and skimming through the passage and of course by reading novels and magazines etc.
@@AsiaAlam-vw8lbyou can take a scientific calculator with you for basic calculations, such as adding something or multiplying something. I find using my scientific calculator a better option for these basics since I have used it for years and it works quicker for me. For other questions regarding the linear equations or the quadratic equations, I used desmos.
For that, you will have to solve digital SAT practice tests on the Bluebook application while sitting separately in a room, without any distractions :)
Hi I'm also preparing on the bluebook app on my ipad. I couldn't write 3.5 or 7/2 bc of the typing restrictions in the math section. Did you have the same problem? How should I fix it? Do I have to buy a keyboard for my ipad? Thank you:)

Hi, could you please clear my one doubt..is there an essay writing section aswell? And if yes, is it compulsory to give or does it have an important significance for University Because all the sources did not clarified it...
Yes sure. No, there isn’t any essay writing section in the Digital SAT. There used to be a compulsory essay writing section in the SAT years ago, which later became optional. And now, it has been completely removed from the SAT. Hope i am clear :)
@@ZYProductions_ alright, but I just noticed that the word problems on khan academy are too different from those of the qas, so I am confused, idk what to study khan academy's word problems are too hard and sorry for asking too many questions
@@alialhadisaeed9594there’s nothing to be sorry about, i am here to help you with your queries :) So, yes, there will be a few such questions which might be very different or extremely complex. Because you never know what will be on the test, therefore you should ‘expect the best, and prepare for the worst.’ That’s the lesson i live by. Good luck!

@@sashasalon1707 It isn't necessary for everyone. I myself studied from Khan Academy, did some books and practice tests from bluebook app and got a 1550 on the last practice test I did (my SAT date is in December by the way so I have lots of time to prepare). What matters more is that you understand the concepts and recognize what type of questions that are being asked to save time on the test day. If you feel that even after completing the Khan Academy it is difficult for you to achieve a good score, then maybe you can think about hiring a tutor. Again, it is not necessary but optional.

@@jayshoney3045hey I wanted to ask that is the use of demographic calculator shown within the Khan academy dsat course or do we have to look into that separately
Hello again sis! Well what do you recommend shall we cover entire maths and english section in khan academy first and then go for practice tests or even before going for the completion of entire course we must take practice tests regularly. This question is really confusing
Umm I would suggest taking the practice tests once you have gone through the entire syllabus. I myself did that, I first completed the whole syllabus through Khan Academy and once I was confident that I am familiar with almost everything, I took the tests then.
Yes, you can definitely prepare for multiple tests at a time. It sure requires some extra effort but it is not impossible. And I believe that it is always a good option to take multiple tests to secure yourself with more options.

@@ZYProductions_ tysm sis thanks for the precious suggestion 😊
Hey, I want to know what to used to improve your vocabulary when you were preparing for the SAT
Google’s word coach, Root words and a lists of frequently repeated words on the SAT.
Did u print your admission ticket or we can show it digitally?
I used a print-out.
Hello, is there any app where we can give digital sat exam in exam like condition?
For that, you will have to solve digital SAT practice tests on the Bluebook application while sitting separately in a room, without any distractions :)
Hi I'm also preparing on the bluebook app on my ipad. I couldn't write 3.5 or 7/2 bc of the typing restrictions in the math section. Did you have the same problem? How should I fix it? Do I have to buy a keyboard for my ipad? Thank you:)
Can we still access the file with all the QAS reports from 2017?
Or, where can we access them?
@@lilymekonnengirma5668you can find a couple of QAS reports through the link i have provided in the pinned comment. Otherwise, you can find QAS reports through Reddit.
Hi, could you please clear my one doubt..is there an essay writing section aswell? And if yes, is it compulsory to give or does it have an important significance for University
Because all the sources did not clarified it...
Yes sure.
No, there isn’t any essay writing section in the Digital SAT. There used to be a compulsory essay writing section in the SAT years ago, which later became optional. And now, it has been completely removed from the SAT.
Hope i am clear :)
Hi I'm struggles with Math could you share some resources for preping for MATH?? Thank you in advance!
Khan Academy, QAS reports and Practice tests are more than enough to score well on your DSAT’s mathematics section.
Hi . Then what about study materials
Hello mam do they provide unit conversions like 1feet = this much foots etc ? In questions
Yes, they do mostly.
I can't find the QAS reports. Do you have any links?
You can find them through the link i have provided in my pinned comment.
@@ZYProductions_ Okay thank you! Btw as an international sat taker, should I do the us sat qas or just the international ones?
@@alialhadisaeed9594you can use both to prepare for your test. There are many similarities between the two.
@@ZYProductions_ alright, but I just noticed that the word problems on khan academy are too different from those of the qas, so I am confused, idk what to study khan academy's word problems are too hard and sorry for asking too many questions
@@alialhadisaeed9594there’s nothing to be sorry about, i am here to help you with your queries :)
So, yes, there will be a few such questions which might be very different or extremely complex. If you feel like it, you can skip a couple of those, but honestly i did practice those questions as well. Because you never know what will be on the test, therefore you should ‘expect the best, and prepare for the worst.’ That’s the lesson i live by.
Good luck!
Sis do they provide us a peice of paper to do rough work especially in math section ? Or we are supposed to do rough work in laptop itself!
yes they do
@@-i2641 ty for help!
Yes, they do. They will provide you with 3 A4 sheets most probably.
For Digital Sat 2023 in India, will the center provide us a rough page for the math section?
Yes, they provide at least 3 A4 sheets everywhere for your rough work.
@@ZYProductions_
thanks di. I am also going to give my SAT in October. I have a question, so like now that you gave your SAT, are you going to study in the US or any other country because I also want to study abroad and do not have a guide? So if you can guide girls like me who don't really have a guide, that will be great.
Yo how did your exam go?@@prithamukherjee_
Does college board charges extra for thr device that they would provide? And also is the Dsat fee similar to the previous one please answer
I don’t think that they charge extra when you borrow a device. And yes, it costs the same. 103$ then, 103$ now.
There is lack of time during the sat test so can you please give some tips related to managing time for all 3 sections?
Do u need a Tutor
@@sashasalon1707 It isn't necessary for everyone. I myself studied from Khan Academy, did some books and practice tests from bluebook app and got a 1550 on the last practice test I did (my SAT date is in December by the way so I have lots of time to prepare). What matters more is that you understand the concepts and recognize what type of questions that are being asked to save time on the test day. If you feel that even after completing the Khan Academy it is difficult for you to achieve a good score, then maybe you can think about hiring a tutor. Again, it is not necessary but optional.
@@jayshoney3045hey I completed khan academy, blue book app and also kept a tutor and completed the princeton review book but my score is still ending at 1100 I don't know what to do, do you have any suggestions?
@@jayshoney3045hey I wanted to ask that is the use of demographic calculator shown within the Khan academy dsat course or do we have to look into that separately
Thanks
:)
@@ZYProductions_ tysm this suggestion will help me out alot,
Where are you???
Is the maths calculator section optional on the digital sat?
Sis you can use calculator in both modules of digital maths. It isn't optional!
@@AsiaAlam-vw8lb but there are two maths modules right? one that is "no calculator" and one with the calculator?
@@manyamishra4920no, there’s nothing optional. There are 2 modules for mathematics and you have to take them both at a time.
@@manyamishra4920 sis now in digital sat you can use calculator in both modules that's a kinda new update !
Can we prepare for jee and sat at the same time?
How much difficult the paper was
Yes, you can definitely prepare for multiple tests at a time. It sure requires some extra effort but it is not impossible. And I believe that it is always a good option to take multiple tests to secure yourself with more options.
Thankyou
I just want a 1200 I think that’s good for my age. 28

Sure Abdul Rehman, how can i help you?
@@ZYProductions_ i am in 12th class and I also want to attend LCAT or SAT test
How many hours i give to SAT and 12th class in a Day for preparations?
Only SAT official book is enough to get 1500+ marks?
In which college you are in now
hello, you gave the previous dsat right? I'll give you my email can you provide me with the past papers of your test if its possible please!
Hi! I would love to assist you, but the problem is that the College Board doesn’t release the past papers for the digital SAT as they did for the paper-based SAT. Every student gets a unique test most probably, even all the test takers sitting in one examination hall have different questions at a time. So there are no past papers or questions available for that :)
