Yeah Saber said he had a younger sister who looked a little like Celica. Matter of fact, Saber could've left the group as soon as they reached Mila's Temple, but stuck around regardless, he's grown attached to Celica.
marinasea17 The thing is, you hear these on casual as well. ...They just don't make as much sense seeing as the unit is then completely fine after the battle. No less tear-jerking, though. Especially Est's.
Right after getting Delthea I accidently let Luthier die and forgot to turnwheel, I only noticed he had died when I heard Delthea's quote in the post battle screen and quickly reset. Thank god these quotes exist.
I never realized they had special quotes until Luthier died at the end of a battle and there was nothing I could do (cause of an Iron Man run)... and hearing Delthea say that crushed me. This game should’ve gotten Oscar’s for its VA. 10/10.
@@ChillstoneBlakeBlast Ferdinand is playable in the dlc, maybe they’d be like the boss characters in sacred stones and be playable in chapter 6 (maybe throw in brigand boss and Jeddah for the lols)
Forsyth and Python's quotes for each other hurt so damn much, considering what they've been through together. Their bad endings also are incredibly depressing.
Yes.And the it endings become even worse when you realize this: Forsyth if Python dies don't want be a knight and anymore and he've probably got the depression. Python if Forsyth dies start to live like Forsyth want to be his life was and he practically continue his short life doing all the things that makes Forsyth happy and he want to do. (Sorry for my bad english )
I actually thought I wouldn't care if Python died in one mission because I was having trouble and he was under-performing. Forstyth made me restart the damn mission when I beat it.
Been a while but Forsyths still hurts. He says it in a laughing tone at first as if Python falls over a lot when practicing and such. Making him think that yet again even on the battlefield he is simply playing. Only to find him unmoving...unbreathing...as the tone changes to one of worry
Alright so there are two here that really stand out to me Forsyth’s quote when Python dies is fucking awful, like souls crushingly wretched. The way it cuts off when he goes “python...?” And that’s it destroys my heart in every way. You just know Forsyth saw Pythons body and had an emotional meltdown right after he said that. For real I have no doubts he just lost it right after that. And then there’s Est. Her VA did such a great job, she literally sounds like she’s balling her eyes out right now. Fuck man, poor Est didn’t deserve that. Another showing of how great the SoV voice actors are.
The ones that got to me the most were Boey's about Mae, Conrad's about Celica, Tobin's about Gray and Luthier's about Delthea. Those were just so emotional it hurts, especially Conrad... that was _heartbreaking_. Forsyth's line about Python is hilarious and sad at the same time.
Luthier hurt me I didn't know how much I loved Delthea as I character until I heard Luthier say her name. It sent a shock up my spine and I actually never noticed I was about to cry.
For those wondering, you can't hear the mourning quotes about Celica. Even in chapter 6, both will cause a game over. Discovered it since they are the reason I lose Thabes over and over since I tried, but without dlc Alm or Celica just can't handle the enemies. No matter who is the leader if either die, no turnwheel can save them.
Well, I kept on trying without. I max leveled my characters trying the best without shards and anything else, but at the end every loss was from Alm or Celica dying from one thing or another. The only ones that could do much were the dread fighters and they eventually got overwhelmed. Eventually I did it, but I had to pretty much avoid even getting seen at the lower levels. Big boss at the end ain't too tough.
I said would. I know that it won't happen, but I just thought that when they included a feature like this, how would Jaffar react to her death. And could she really die in Battle Before Dawn? That wouldn't make just as much sense as her dying in any chapter after that.
I can't help but think like this when you hear certain mourning quotes on Casual: As you're fighting for your own life, one of your closest compatriots gets messed up bad. So badly injured, that they barely have enough strength to withdraw from the battle. However, once that's used up, they collapse. After the battle, you search for your friend, but once you find them, you see that they are not moving. Fearing the worst, you scream for your friend to wake up, and try to wake them up, but they remain unconscious. It is then you start mourning the loss, but all that time you were lost to your fear, you had not taken notice that they still were breathing (albeit slightly, but still a steady breathing).
As much as this hurt... I want this kind of feature to always return. It TRULY knows how to make you feel shitty, and makes you want to undo the tragic mistake you did.
Let Python die because he was pretty bad. Played the rest of the level I was on and finished it, but then I heard a confused Forsyth in denial... It really hurt, especially since I had the power to save him with the turnwheel. Thank goodness for revival fountains.
Other characters: Well, this is not-- WHAT? (character's name)! NO!!! Deen: stfu mourn later. Lukas: (absolutely calm and serious) You were good Clive, maybe even the best.
If you try to imagine where these characters are placed next to their fallen loved ones, it amplifies the voice acting that much better. For example with Luthier's lines, I can imagine him perfectly huddled over Delthea and brushing her hair out of her face while cradling her. Ach... losing a younger sibling in warfare like that hurts to think about.
Late reply, but, it makes sense lol. I mean, I think Gray could have had an "oh man" moment because he had love at first sight, but she fell for him after the game lol
People keep saying Est’s quote is the most emotional, and while I agree I feel Leon’s quote is just as emotional. Why isn’t anyone else talking about him?
Kamui's makes me think of Azama's "Death comes for everyone!" quote. Leon's made me think of that one Megaman (I think it was one of the x games) where Zero yells "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOR?!"
Honestly I love how these still play even if you play on casual, so it's like, "NO, YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME! HOW AM I TO GO ON!?" and Mathilda is over in the corner like, "Bruh, I just sprained my ankle."
After a long and grueling battle at Nuibaba's Abode, I finally achieved victory... at the cost of Luthier's life. I felt bad, but I remembered that there was a revival spring back at Fear Mountain and that I'd visit it later. But then, Delthea broke my heart into a million pieces, and I made it my immediate goal to rush to the revival spring as quickly as I could. It was the first death on my playthrough (or, rather, the first one that I was unable to undo with Mila's Turnwheel, since I ran out of cogs during the battle), so it caught me off-guard that the usual cheery victory quote was replaced with someone breaking down and crying. Props to the voice actors for making their reactions sound so... real.
This game’s voice acting was PHENOMENAL, Berkut and Alm’s voices made that one, um, “heated” scene so tragic and horrifying that it left me sick to my stomach for weeks
I’ve watched this so many times and I still cry over delthea’s quote with luthier and est’s quote if one of the whiteings dies, Forsyth’s with pythons death is sad too ;-;
This would hit a lot harder if they didn't completely forget Casual Mode existed. No really, Casual doesn't change these lines at all. So Mathilda got KO'd while I was grinding and Clive was screaming his head off, so I'm like "DUDE SHE'S RIGHT THERE, STOP."
god the ones that are most soul crushing to me is Alm's quote for Celica, Clive's for Mathilda, and Leon's for Valbar "no....no Celica, not you" "Mathilda my love....how am I to go on?" "Don't leave me old friend, what will I fight for?"

Yeah Saber said he had a younger sister who looked a little like Celica.
Matter of fact, Saber could've left the group as soon as they reached Mila's Temple, but stuck around regardless, he's grown attached to Celica.
The missing dialog for casual would be they get up and say "gotem! :P"
and then they get wacked in the head.....
This is why some people play Classic. And why some do not.
I never asked for these feels, can I be a filthy casual now ;~;
marinasea17 The thing is, you hear these on casual as well.
...They just don't make as much sense seeing as the unit is then completely fine after the battle.
No less tear-jerking, though.
Especially Est's.
Gods... Est's was beyond heart-crushing...
Units that are revived in casual are literally clones of the original. They aren't really back at all.
Im playing on casual and you have to believe me i won't let any of them die
Even if i have to Mila's Turnwheel all the way to the first turn
Oh Mila. This hurts so much.
*Hears Delthea talk about Luthier*
TAKE ME NOW
Right after getting Delthea I accidently let Luthier die and forgot to turnwheel, I only noticed he had died when I heard Delthea's quote in the post battle screen and quickly reset. Thank god these quotes exist.
Alexi Wright man that hurts
Delthea's voice actress is god damn amazing. She voices the best emotions in this game I swear
I never realized they had special quotes until Luthier died at the end of a battle and there was nothing I could do (cause of an Iron Man run)... and hearing Delthea say that crushed me. This game should’ve gotten Oscar’s for its VA. 10/10.
I counted six lines that can't be heard normally:
- Alm
- Berkut
- Conrad
- Fernand
- Mycen
- Saber
Two enemy characters and four lines about Celica.
Well, I guess you can hear them Post Game (besides Berkut & Fernand)
No, Celica dying is still a game over, it happened to me
TheDark Reshiram those lines can be heard in Dlc though. The other 2 were probably going to be playable units, but removed
@@astrangefan0849It's all good. English is a hard language to learn when it's a second or third language.
I actually thought I wouldn't care if Python died in one mission because I was having trouble and he was under-performing. Forstyth made me restart the damn mission when I beat it.
"For goodness sake, Python, get up! :D
... Python? D:"
AAAAAH
Been a while but Forsyths still hurts. He says it in a laughing tone at first as if Python falls over a lot when practicing and such. Making him think that yet again even on the battlefield he is simply playing. Only to find him unmoving...unbreathing...as the tone changes to one of worry
Alright so there are two here that really stand out to me
Forsyth’s quote when Python dies is fucking awful, like souls crushingly wretched.
Est really gets the shaft, at least she’s actually a good unit in this game because of her base stats like delthea
This is something I wanted in Awakening and Fates. I'm glad to see it finally here.
You know what's the saddest thing about all of this?
Leon has a quote for Valbar but Valbar has none for Leon...
I think Valbar’s quote is for both Leon and Kamui.
Leon''s not important.
oof
Luthier hurt me
I didn't know how much I loved Delthea as I character until I heard Luthier say her name. It sent a shock up my spine and I actually never noticed I was about to cry.
Leon's delivery is so chilling.
WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOR
For those wondering, you can't hear the mourning quotes about Celica. Even in chapter 6, both will cause a game over. Discovered it since they are the reason I lose Thabes over and over since I tried, but without dlc Alm or Celica just can't handle the enemies. No matter who is the leader if either die, no turnwheel can save them.
TheDemonRaticate trust me it's perfectly doable without dlc
Well, I kept on trying without. I max leveled my characters trying the best without shards and anything else, but at the end every loss was from Alm or Celica dying from one thing or another. The only ones that could do much were the dread fighters and they eventually got overwhelmed. Eventually I did it, but I had to pretty much avoid even getting seen at the lower levels. Big boss at the end ain't too tough.
TheDemonRaticate even on CASUAL
The mode where no one dies
Except them.
I keep coming back to Tobin's mourning over Gray... the way his voice shakes, it gives me goosebumps
Now imagine if every remakes have them... Say... Nino for Jaffar (who probably values his life more than Jaffar himself does)...
Don't forget the other way around.
What would happen if Nino died?
I heard that she wasn't allowed to die on any other chapter than The Battle Before Dawn, so...
I said would.
I know that it won't happen, but I just thought that when they included a feature like this, how would Jaffar react to her death.
And could she really die in Battle Before Dawn?
That wouldn't make just as much sense as her dying in any chapter after that.
Well it's mostly that her defeat line in that chapter implies that she dies, actually.
Lunatic 0verlord id imagine Jaffar reacting to ninos death would be like "Nino... is this what sadness feels like?"
If you though these were heartbreaking OH HO HO! JUST WAIT 'TILL YA SEE SOME OF THEIR ENDINGS!!
Now play this with Heritors of Arcadia in the background for +90 Critical to the feels.
OK BUT FORSYTH THINKING THAT PYTHON WAS ONLY PLAYING AROUND AND THEN THE REALIZATION MADE ME FUCKING TEAR UP
I can't help but think like this when you hear certain mourning quotes on Casual:
As you're fighting for your own life, one of your closest compatriots gets messed up bad.
Letting Forsyth die is even worse, because
(don't click Read More unless you don't mind spoilers)
Python dies in his ending.
Other characters: Well, this is not-- WHAT? (character's name)! NO!!!
Deen: stfu mourn later.
Lukas: (absolutely calm and serious) You were good Clive, maybe even the best.
el que existe lukas still cares for clive tho im sure
btw depressing fact:
if gray is dead by the end of the game, Tobin will become an alcoholic in his epilogue
I swear I'm convinced that Kamui is probably related to Azama somehow...he's like a gloomier version of him, with his "Death comes for us all"
They even look the same, if Azama was a Myrmidon/Mercenary instead of a Monk
rawrkitteh94 pretty sure he's related to Say'ri though
Simon The Suicidal Sandwhich I could definitely see that. Probably not intentional, but I could see him having a descendant like her.
well maybe. kliff is the ancestor of one of the awakening characters.
There does seem to have a weird link between this and Fates, despite explicitly being different worlds.
Xaizor's another one who comes to mind.
Clive's death is so painful, leads to Mathilda, Clair, and Fernand breaking down...
And Lukas being sad, but in his calm, collected way.
if you let Mathilda die before recruiting her Clive fucking snaps on you
I heard the dialogue because I was curious to see what happened if you let her die, and OH BOY. It gave me goosebumps after hearing it...
fun fact: if you save her but dont recruit her the game thinks its dead when you finish the game.
This is why I use the Turnwheel.
I bit into my hand at Leon's
doodle-lu-lu don’t we all
r u ok
i legit just started crying so hard it felt like there was a lump in my throat
Isn't it funny how Gray & Clair don't mourn for each other but they end up together? XDDDDD
Late reply, but, it makes sense lol. I mean, I think Gray could have had an "oh man" moment because he had love at first sight, but she fell for him after the game lol
Clearly the best reaction to war, bloodshed and death: 0:57 👌👌👌
Me: Don't cry, come on, you can do it.
Forsyth: For goodness sake Python get up. Python?
Me: ... (My heart is being crushed)
People keep saying Est’s quote is the most emotional, and while I agree I feel Leon’s quote is just as emotional. Why isn’t anyone else talking about him?
Est and Delthea's second mourning quotes genuinely sound like they’re crying.
Kamui's makes me think of Azama's "Death comes for everyone!" quote.
Leon's made me think of that one Megaman (I think it was one of the x games) where Zero yells "WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOR?!"
Now you realise Kamui IS Azama. But he couldn't wield a staff in Gaiden or Echoes and couldn't be a Merc in Fates.
Mega Man X4, yeah.
Forsyth, Delthea, Mae, Boey, and Est's killed me
Jesus, this video is hard to watch! Especially the ones with personal connections, like Boey on Meys death
Benington The Pegasus sisters hit you HARD.
Honestly I love how these still play even if you play on casual, so it's like, "NO, YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME! HOW AM I TO GO ON!?" and Mathilda is over in the corner like, "Bruh, I just sprained my ankle."
Ests made me choke up
Damn this is soul crushing. The VAs did so good at delivering these that I nearly couldn't make it through without crying lol
Props to the voice actors for making their reactions sound so... real.
Forsyth's quote about Python and Zeke's about Tatiana...they are the definition of soul crushing
After 1:35 I wasn't sad anymore. Forscythe drained me of any goodwill I had left. Nothing could make it worse.
Me: Jeez, these are dark.
Me after Deen’s comment: Your edge is not making this better!
Deen: "War is death, you can mourn later."
Boromir: "Give them a moment, for pity's sake!"
Deen: “By nightfall, these hills will be swarming with Terrors.”
So how do I become happy again after watching this?
Squadron Leader Crippled Back
Idk, watch a video about kittens?
Squadron Leader Crippled Back use the turnwheel like there's no tomorrow
Remember that it's also possible to hear these in casual mode. And it becomes just a little bit funny.
Just remember anytime Grey speaks really. He's so damn funny, Tobin too.
Just remember Forsyth "WAPOOSH! Walk, mule, walk!"-ing Python. Any interaction between these two helps.
Never knew this was a thing, since I either use Mila's turnwheel, or restart the map. No unit left behind.
This game’s voice acting was PHENOMENAL, Berkut and Alm’s voices made that one, um, “heated” scene so tragic and horrifying that it left me sick to my stomach for weeks
I didn't even know these existed thanks to Mila's Turnwheel.
I’ve watched this so many times and I still cry over delthea’s quote with luthier and est’s quote if one of the whiteings dies, Forsyth’s with pythons death is sad too ;-;
When Forsyth said python get up omg that was so sad
Damn, Conrad hits too close to home.
Edit: I can't believe I'm actually crying after this video, wow.
Conrad and Forsyth’s hurt me the most 😭💔
This would hit a lot harder if they didn't completely forget Casual Mode existed.
No really, Casual doesn't change these lines at all. So Mathilda got KO'd while I was grinding and Clive was screaming his head off, so I'm like "DUDE SHE'S RIGHT THERE, STOP."
god the ones that are most soul crushing to me is Alm's quote for Celica, Clive's for Mathilda, and Leon's for Valbar
"no....no Celica, not you"
"Mathilda my love....how am I to go on?"
"Don't leave me old friend, what will I fight for?"
