All of the voice acting in this game was spot on, I would go so far as to say that it has the best VA I've heard in a game.

Valbar's is my favorite. He didn't see Duma and his Faithful as gods or adversaries, he saw them as good for nothing pirates. Of the same ilk as those who took his family from him.

I guess somehow everyone knows how Sonya has some story relevance. Either that or Celica already has access to 3 dread fighters in her path by default (and quite possibly a fourth if you reclass Altus into a mercenary)
I chose Deen because you already start off with 4 magic users, including Celica, on her path. Also he's a guy with purple hair, so why not?

In Act 3, Nuibaba says to Berkut that Jedah sacrificed his daughters, Marla and Hestia, to Duma. Then in Act 4, if you have Sonya fight Jedah, she confronts him about sacrificing her sisters to Duma. If you fight one of the sisters in the endgame, they mention Sonya.

Shadows of Valentia did such a great job as the first "Echos" game. If this was released during the Switch era, it would have gotten so much more recognition :)

Everyone's quote is great, but Mae, Mathida, and Boey's VA's convey their emotion especially well. It's so easy to love this game when the VA's went above and beyond on the voice acting.

Zen Phyzx No they weren't. The game actually had no voice acting, probably because it was a DS game. Echoes is the first Fire Emblem game to have full voice acting for almost every line.
If you want to play it in English, you can emulate it and play an English fan translation of the game, I really recommend it.

Forsyth is my favorite. He just sums up everything nicely there and it's a great quote from someone who was just a commoner once. Faye is my next for being so hopeful to her friends and not just Alm favorite and Yuzu after that for her power from the heart quote. Mae is great too for sticking up for Celica.
On a side note, I feel like these are quotes that could be said to Zamasu from Dragonball Super.

If I may make a suggestion I think that it would be more epic if you put in the final quotes for Alm and Celica when Alm is ready to take down Duma. To me I think that would be worthy of putting since Alm and Celica don't have a final battle quote.

That quote really reminds me of Nergal (the big bad of The Blazing Blade). All he wanted was to see his children again, but years subsumed in dark magic wrecked his memories, made him lose sight of why he was doing it, and of what he held dear. And it both destroyed him and brought suffering to many, including the very children he had sacrificed everything to see again.

Sonya cringing at what her dad is doing is hilarious in context.
Strange how Silque and Conrad, Rigelians by birth and education respectively, are the only ones shown to have some sympathy for Duma's suffering, rather than an outright desire to slay him. Wonder where the famous Zofian kindness went.

I liked this map for the sheer amount of units you can use during it and the theme.
No one is really talking about it, but ugh, I love Saber and Kamui's quotes (moreso Saber's). It just really drives home that this journey is coming to a close, and that they are looking forward to its glorious end
My final battle quote

These lines definitely make this one of the more meaningful final bosses.
I had no clue that there were unique final map quotes until I got to this point in the game (fairly recently I might add) and my jaw DROPPED. I LOVE that they did this, and I'm very shocked that future games in the franchise didn't keep it.
