One of the very best collaborations between two Dutch bands ever... spectacular job. Proud to be Dutch!
Good choice to do start to finish. It's 2 bands in full setting on stage, orchestra and choir. Last song is 'Angels' by Robbie Williams. They are Dutch and this event is a yearly Dutch event. The singer of Di-rect is Marcel Veenendaal. The singer of Kensington is Eloi Youssef who sadly stopped with the band. Amstel is a Dutch beer brand. Good reaction.

Tim Akkerman was the singer before, he was on Beste Zangers (same season as Floor Jansen - 2019). Marcel van Veenendaal is this singer from Di-Rect. Lovely reaction! And you 2 are together with Highly Combustible, my 2 favorite channels

As someone already mentioned, the last song was Angels by Robbie Williams.
He was one of the biggest superstars in the world you're never heard of.
At his height he was at about the same level as Michael Jackson.
Taylor Swift did this song with him, her fans sang his song so loud, they both couldn't be heard anymore.
At the time his music was too poppy for me, but no one can deny he truly is one of the greatest entertainers alive today.
Yeah it's weird how many people have never heard of Robbie Williams and that song, which is probably his biggest hit and he was a superstar, bigger than Taylor Swift out here for sure, at the time as big as Eminem and always on the top male artists in award shows.

Thanks for your great reaction. Love watching this. Love Di-rect. The drummer is Jamie, from Di-rect. When the band started way back, I was there to photograph them, but I had to ask Jamie's father's permission. Jamie was only 15 then, too young to play on stage without parent control... 🙂Hard to imagine now. This was such a brilliant show. They all were so good.
I remember watching this on the new years eve, maaaann good memories, they got such good music at that place every year again like it's wild. Nice to see reactions back on this.
Vrienden van amstel live ( friends of amstel live ) is just one great big event held every year with a few years not able to becouse of covid . But in general all these bands artist have a blast cooperating on this event , also the guitar player with the black hear and black guitar . is the son in law of Golden Earing singer Barry Hay . And they just love playing music .
I've bin to the Vrienden van Amstel last January, it's just one of the best concerts with collaborations I have ever bin, and I seen a lot live In the past years.

Both singers of Di-rect and Kensington have great voices, one so smooth and the other so raw. I love both bands a lot. You can comment on a lot of song videos and you won't regret it.
Great choice to watch the whole show. Thanks for your nice video comments. I would say do it also for the whole Black Symphony concert from Within Temptation and the whole episode 4 from The Beste Zangers 2019 where Floor Jansen was the main guest. Using the subtitles to understand the meaning of such episode. Success granted.

Yes …. Amstel is a Dutch beer brand. Founded in 1870 and belongs to the Heineken brewery since 1968.

Amstel is indeed a Dutch brewery. The lead singer of Di-rect is Marcel Veenendaal. He replaced Tim Akkerman in 2009. You (we) are not THAT old! (Are we?)

Amstel is dutch beer and merged with Heineken in 1968 but kept his own name. Both pure dutch products. The headsponsor is Amstel beer brewer so the name friends of Amstel live( vrienden van Amstel live).
City of Amsterdam is on the river ‘de (the) Amstel. And yes it’s a beer from the Netherlands.
Last song is by Robby Williams, extremely big in Europe, only sold a mere 55 million records…..

It is Dutch, the Amstel is the little river that gave Amsterdam its name. I do like compositions like Wonderwall and Angels, but I guess I am more in progressive seventies rock and Nightwish and Ayreon.

Don't forget : '' Radar love '' by Golden Earring oh and then take the live performance of 12-12 from 2015 in Amsterdam, an old school rock band from the 70's and 80's and you don't need to be 20 to make good music you can be a grandpa and still rocking why not, listen to Cesar the drummer ( one of the best drummers in the universe ) and you find out that you are never to old to rock ! Never ! Oh and it will not be your genre for sure but now you guys are watching and listening the good stuff : the Dutch stuff, don't forget to check out Q-dance, missy here likes performance, and good performance too and the reason she likes orchestra's so much and of course who doesn't sooo do NOT forget to check out Defqon 1 ! Would be a waste, you are going to enjoy it becauzzzzzzz you know it : if it ain't Dutch it ain't much thatttttttt is correct. But when you do jump into Defqon 1, strap yourself down it will be a ride.......carry on.
