That last play was actually so underrated. When watching live all we saw was the greatness of jerax’s echo on storm, but not notails curse to stop the stomp
Amazing, I always thought "How can Somnus, one of the best mid and especially storm players in the world could make such a blunder, zipping into rosh pit when enemy has a shaker + treant?" And it turns out they wanted to make a coordinated attack, ET Stomp Sleep + Storm zip in, but Bigdaddy intervened. The amount of major details we miss in dota games even while professionals are casting them is insane!
I totally see the spirit i thought he forgot to stomp but its big daddy's intervention that made it stop little details we didn't see that makes me a fan of Notail
The play at 12:00 was a huge thing that got missed by alot of people! I thought OG goth rosh from an amazing echo by jerax. But notail sets up the curse on ET so when storm jumped to the rosh pit ES was ready for it.Best Team GG
yep the only thing that can setup and start good team fight for LGD was ET stomp and n0tail read that very well and used his ulti to counter one of their strong initiation. If not then agies could have been snatched or one of their core could have melted and died, many things could have gone wrong but with that one small move from n0tail, he prevented a worst case scenario. Truly a next level mental warfare that many of the people failed to notice.
I am N0Tails biggest fan but I don't think he is the best 'player'. I think he was the perfect team mate for the hyper-skilled Ana and Topson; I think his personality and attitude are essential to OG's ability to bounce back from losses/make comebacks (Ceb has these qualities too, as seen in truesight). I also think Topson and Ana would not be world class players on other teams, because of the encouragement and support that OG offers (other teams would have flamed Topson for losing mid so hard in TI8, and Ana was super low self esteem both in and out of game). Likewise, I think N0Tail wouldn't have been as successful in any other team. I don't consider OG 'lucky', but they somehow built the perfect combination of players. Think about the past secret rosters, with Puppey, Kuro, Zai, Artour, etc. All amazing players in their own right, but winning TI takes more. So I guess it depends on how you define player. :)))
Dont Forget about Jerax.. if u watch every game he didn't show in the map always and when teams are about to set. He was suddenly in there using his stun in the best position and creating space
They are all part of the whole. Jerax and N0tail are both equal when it comes to good set ups. Also they dont set up Topsons great plays... Topson set ups great plays for their team. Topsons is the reason why OG isnt one of the best teams, but actually almost unbeatable. He plays mid so differently than any other mider...
So as a Archon 4 support. I was hoping to learn something. And it did. Judging by the fact that N0tail is one of my favorite support player in DOTA. Thank you so much for this analysis. It helps me a lot. I guess I have more things to grow on. Maybe someday, ill play on the grand stage of TI.

If you have both the same high level of mechanical skills, what sets it apart is the brilliance, creativity and imagination involved during a split second decision. Arteezy is good mechanically, Dendi is good mechanically and are able to perform at a classic touch but somehow, even lately, they've become quite predictable and most of their decisions are good but not godly.
Paul Lumayag let’s be honest, it’s priority for your heroes. NP has priority in zoning kunkka. And so on. While it isn’t special, him not managing to cleave really saved his team but again, he’s suppose to do that. He needs Jerax to be free to do whatever.
The last winters curse is actually amazing, he is thinking so far ahead, becouse they know that they are gonna stomp and storm zip in when roshan dies, that way the stomp is setting up for the team fight, so they can kill OG and also potentially steal the aegis, also you can see the follow up spells from lgd blood rite and so on, instead they completely misses the opportunity to stun OG and earth spiller follow up. And doing it using the winter curse on only 1 hero, in a way the ulty isent in anyway to be used that way, controlling only one hero in a certain amount of time, he just knew how important it was to make that play. Also the buyback play at 25:00, really is amazing to becouse he completely saves ana and set him up for kill, also really nice turn around from ana there.

They pick stunners but don't go around to set up kills, 0 assist 0 kills in 15-20mins. Then when you ask them to do something, they will type into all chat "noob carry cannot even play. I put so many wards already". They fucking think that just planting wards means they are doing a good job as a support. C'mon support players, be useful.
