A few minutes in and notails' already feeding us a lot of valuable information. I'm not subscribed to gamerzclass but this is your best free video yet. Notail is a fucking god. The way he takes into account everything is fucking ridiculous and absurd at the same time. Really takes you into what the pros are thinking in game and how complicated dota really is. Amazing.
Notail's Note: Think a few seconds before deciding to use your buyback or not OG Squads: Buyback without hesitation, then wins fight and later on wins TI
In ti9 game 1 of grand finals, Ana hesitated on buying back to help defend the ancient and they lost the game. He may or may have been able to help turn the fight around but regardless, just as n0tail put it, it's better to buy back and try to win the fight than to not buyback and just accept the beating altogether.
@@heavensubculture Aren't everybody thinking about buy backs before they die? I mean everytime that i got ganked or anything i always put my cursor on buybacks button just need right time to click it.
What i learned from this DotA is more patience and timing, even you're ahead of anyone if you're greedy and got punished you can lose the game, but when you played in order of your team mates you can won any game.
I think the simplest way to explain this is by playing teamfights around your and your enemy's resources (skills, ultimate, items, etc). Each hero has different timing and powerspike, so if thou know that your overall team resources are just on the right time (like blink on ES, BKB on PA, or Doom reaching level 6, etc) then every single teamfight that happens around those timings are most favourably winnable by your team. You also need to pay attention to what skills and items (such as bkb or refresher) are on cooldown and tried to avoid any fight during that time because it is your "weakest state" so avoid teamfight and other big objectives like roshan or pushing high ground. Split pushing, securing jungle with wards, and agressive farming sometimes are good choices during this state, especially if you are in a lead.
I really like how Notail pointed out the importance of KNOWING skills and using skills *at the right moment* rather than button mashing as soon as you see a hero... Lion is one of the most picked supports out there however he has one of the lowest win rate for a support* and the most common problem that I see when I play with or against a Lion is their utilization of their disables. Let me explain a common situation, Lion sees an ENEMY (yes, just ONE) what's the first thing that the Lion would do you ask? He would IMPALE the SOLO enemy instead of HEXING him.. What's the problem with using one over the other when both disables the enemy anyway? Well, Impale can hit multiple targets while HEX can only target one(before talent). Now that I explained that part, what does that mean? Well that means that the target's ally can safely engage the fight because they now know that they have 1 less AOE CC spell to deal with. Which could potentially lead to Lion's team having a hard time of killing the enemy or WORSE, Lion's team could get WIPED instead...
@@srenkierkegaard6433 EXACTLY! I encountered another Lion that bought blink right away... He just dies right away because he jumps into us with out any follow up then we wiped the rest of his team because they came 1 at a time cause they were forced by their Lion teammate to engage into a bad fight...

Love this analysis of Dota. Though pub matches obviously aren't going to work out like pro games, the average player being able to understand why pro games play out the way they do would benefit immensely understanding real team dynamics. For example, watching pro games would show lower/mid ranked players why they should stop overcommitting on tanky or very savable heroes. A initiating team may jump an Axe and kill him first to start a team fight, but this choice will likely cost valuable cooldowns and more importantly, reveal all of their positions and necessarily group them up to some extent. The remaining 4 defending players are likely now very capable of winning the remainder of the fight more handily with this added information, and not having to deal with some of the cooldowns. Once you know this, you learn how to deal with situations far cleaner and more sensibly. You anticipate what comes next, or what can come next versus what you think should happen just because you have a cooldown available that "usually hurts the enemy a lot."
Thats a bullshit for low elo i used to be at low elo and thinking cuz i always had bad teammates and toxic people but after i start ignoring even if my teammate feed on purpose and just focus my game i start climbing rank now im at divine 5 goal is immortal
thats the thing. right there.. the first teamfight win in the final agaisnt LGD. many people, highlighted ana since he survived with literally 1 hp. granted he's a great player, the best ember in fact. and what he did in that teamfight is pretty sick. but if you take one equation out of that teamfight, theyre most likely gonna lose. its that boat steal. if jerax didnt steal that boat. it would be a completely different situation all the way. i mean.. jerax is the man for sure, but he absolutely gotta steal something in that fight right? normally he would only steal from shaker, but this time he aimed for the kunkka. did he know he'd get the boat? or its simply somnus' mistake afterall? its funny because i saw a torrent used before the steal.. how the hell did he get the boat?
Another thing that probably wasn’t discussed here that’s absolutely important with teamfighting is vision. May it be obs, beastmaster hawk, rocket flare etc. Teamfighting without good vision is really bad.
N0tail’s gamer class course is unfortunately not very good - it’s kind of like its pitched at beginners but I also don’t feel like it’d be all that helpful for beginners because it doesn’t properly explain some of the game’s fundamentals. Think he needs to do another one which is aimed at more experienced players where he’s a bit bolder in his opinions. I’d really recommend Nikobaby’s and Cr1t’s though - both excellent

It comes down to I think pretty simple Sun Tzu Art of War shit: Look for fights when you are strong and they are weak, and dodge fights otherwise.

Why do the hero names not match the portraits? kunka is lich, ES is Mirana. wtf is going on.
So when they crushed EG in TI9 arteezy anti-mage cutting the wave is right thing to do. But he got still punished by OG..
It is really the right thing to do. Its just that those “keyboard warriors” makes fun of it, when it is the best thing he can do at that moment.
