AI - ChatGPT to Learn VLSI Coding | AI Series 1 | OpenAI
Hi, We are starting a new series on how to use AI ChatGPT for learning VLSI. This is the first video about getting help from AI - ChatGPT to learn VLSI Coding. We have tried checking how ChatGPT responds by generating the Verilog Full Adder Code.
Later we asked it to enhance with the comments. It gave good comments.
Then I asked for making it a four-bit counter, It used the data flow modeling and generated the 4-bit adder with the help of instantiation. Which was impressive.
Later I asked it to generate the Test bench for the code.
It did a decent job there.
At last I asked to generate the output using the Design code and test bench code. It gave the correct output. I do not recommend using Ch...

    Hi, I used the same query to generate wrt Copilot and it gave a good code with comments with just one go. Here it is: module full_adder ( input logic a, b, cin, // Inputs: a, b, and carry-in output logic sum, cout // Outputs: sum and carry-out ); // Internal wire for the carry logic carry1, carry2, sum1; // First stage of addition assign sum1 = a ^ b; assign carry1 = a & b; // Second stage of addition assign sum = sum1 ^ cin; assign carry2 = sum1 & cin; // Carry-out is the OR of both carry outputs assign cout = carry1 | carry2; endmodule

    Interface block why we r using logic- because gen_output=BFm_input and BFm_output= monitor_input So when we com to any industrial big project where lot's of block so 1 block input is next block output so in that time we r facing some confusion so remove this problem we declare all singal with logic

    Are package synthesisablle why or why not?

    • @vlsichaps
      @vlsichaps Год назад

      Packages can contain a mix of synthesizable and non-synthesizable constructs. For example, a package can define data types, constants, functions, tasks, and macros that are synthesizable, as well as non-synthesizable constructs such as assertions, coverage, and debug statements that are only useful for simulation. I hope this helps. Let us know if any further queries. Also give your feedback on other videos.
