My name is Will Gay and I am a professional photographer from Northern Colorado specializing in capturing Real Estate, Architecture, and Commercial photos.

I have been a working professional in the photography and video industry for the last 15 years. I got my start like most people do, by buying a camera and chasing a dream.
My goal is to provide content that helps others become better at what they do and to give insights into what it's like to start and run a professional photography business.

How To Color Grade Nikon N-log Footage For Better Real Estate Video Tours Using Cinematch
When I first started shooting video home tours my company had to shoot straight out-of-camera video that was sent overseas and came back looking overedited and left our clients wanting more. Now that I am on my own I have taken the last year to learn how to capture Nikon NLOG footage to the best of my ability and develop a workflow that delivers high-quality content to my clients while keeping it all in-house. With this plug-in for Adobe Premiere Pro you can quickly and easily grade LOG footage and spend less time editing.

Is A Monolight or Speedlight Better for Interior Photography?

A comment on my flash modifier video asked to see a comparison between a speedlight and a monolight for interior photography. They also expressed that I was hurting my credibility by talking down to the MagMod system. Let's address the concerns and see why a monolight is a better choice for real estate photography than a traditional speedlight. 00:00 Intro 00:17 MagMod Comment 02:21 Godox ML-CD...
Is The K&F 3GDW Tripod Head Any Good For Real Estate Photography?
Просмотров 7854 месяца назад
I used ball-head tripod heads for years in my professional work. I hated the old 3-way heads and anything that was too rigid for my style of work. But that all changed this year when I picked up the K&F Concept GD3W Tripod head. This head has sped up my workflow and helped me produce consistent-level photos in every shoot I do. If you are in the market for a new tripod head or want to give a 3-...

Master the Art of Exposure Bracketing for Stunning Real Estate Photography
Thank you so much, this is game changer for my editing.
Hi! What's the tripod you use the geared head with? Mine it's not compatible 😢
9:42 okaaay…all the vids I’ve watched, since I became interested in becoming a REP, have talked about basically the same things, ad nauseam. How to get started doing this and that and what gear to get and how to shoot inside and outside and how to obtain new clients and what to do….well, you know! But, I’m yet to see any of them give specific, detailed, step-by-step instructions on what to do BEFORE ALL OF THAT!! Like, for instance, do I need to file a DBA? How do I obtain a business license (if I need one). Do I need to talk to a CPA, or an attorney, and what about insurance? Don’t I need that before I step foot on someone’s private property? Because that all needs to get done, I think it safe to assume, BEFORE you can do anything, especially charge anyone for your services. What about a website? Oh wait, I need to have some content for that website! But I can’t get content if I can’t legally go into a house and shoot pictures. Ok, so we’re told to start with our own house. Well…no, not THIS house!! A friend’s house maybe? Or a relative’s house. But what if I don’t have any relatives alive that live nearby? What if all my friends live in ugly, messy houses? I’m just saying, it would be great if someone would do a video about exactly what to do FIRST and walk us through the procedures. To me, THAT would be an awesome video! Are you up to the challenge??
Subscribed. This was a solid video and I love seeing other Nikon users
Awesome informative video ! Where can I find and add camera profiles as yours for Lightroom ?
So i usually only use premiere pro If i wanna do this speed ramp should i di it from premier pro add the color grading or i should do it later?
Seems like a good tool
That’s a lot of time invested on 1 photo.
Hi Will, my photoshop 2025 don't recognize the file I download for my sony a7IV. How can I do?
I'm sorry. What do you mean? I have the same version of Photoshop. Can you tell me what message you are getting?
Hey Will, can we do it in premiere pro?
thanks man!
Thank you So much Will I am looking for this
Love your videos! Doing my first shoot on Thursday, and I'm just cramming in as much of this valuable info as I can. Keep up the good work
When you're in the time graph and you need to pull those tabs to the left, or right, to make them perfectly straight, try holding down the shift key. Also, you ROCK for being the first guy I've seen, since this became a popular transition, that didn't act like it would be a sin to share info with fellow videographers. BRAVO!
Great video. Thank you for sharing. I'm interested in your export settings. I find when I export, the photos look great, but then when uploaded into MLS they lose some of their sharpness and take-on a bit of grain.
Thats just the MLS. When they upload photos they kill them just like Zillow does. They lose half the quality if not more
Using a 3-way head for houses works best for me. If you have the budget, check out the arca-swiss D4 models, pricey, but if mine ever breaks I won't hesitate to get another one. Thanks for your helpful videos!
Man, I don't know why, but I LOVE the way you explained all these things!!! really :)))) so natural, simple and humane. thank you sooooo much, you solved this problem for me. God bless you! and greetings from Ukraine :)
Excellent information once again! Thank you very much for sharing! Could using linear profiles be used on 32bit hdr merges? so we get a flatter image to start with, like with lrenfuse, but being able to adjust colors better, since it would be raw?
Bruh that is not buttery smooth
Do you use auto white balance for your flash shots or are you setting the color temp?
Dude, thanks!
Can you tell me about the ccf profile? (CCF-Helano) I'm looking for it, but I can't find any information
Once upon a time…. Each of the Adobe products were standalone tools. Editors back in the day (when I started out) used to round trip between the two - for bespoke purposes (video production and VFX / motion design). Over time, once computers became able to handle it, Adobe introduced dynamic link, so the two products could talk to each other, saving editors time and integrating the video and VFX workflow. Here we are many years later and software developers are essentially building on top of old code. If they started again in an ideal world, these tools would all work in consistent ways with consistent keystrokes. Alas, it’s just not the way software engineering works, so the user experience is compromised as apps add more features. They’ve also got to accommodate users who only use one of the tools and have learned how to use them as standalone tools, so changing things would risk pissing the power users off… That’s my understanding! Great video btw :-)
And what's the advantage over the HDR switch? ;-)
Are you gay?
Are u gay?
So immediately you gave me a duh moment ...i am not a big apple fan and do not enjoy carrying an iphone as my main device but was really wishing I had access to that lidar sensor for floorplans. Using an iPad Pro makes a lot of sense and I can't believe i didnt think of that before 🤦🏼♂️. Also do you ever get white balance issues using the X3 trigger? I know the updated XPro trigger has a single pin mode to avoid those issues.
Thanks Will, another great vid. Anyone who has spent any amount of time watching REP RUclips's knows that there are at least 27 ways to skin a cat, but you do a great job explaining your way (while not insisting it's the ONLY way). Just curious about your decision to use Enfuse first for the initial exposure blend rather than just hand blending in Raya / Lumenzia. I often find that Enfuse bakes that "muddiness" in which is hard to clean up. Interested in your thoughts, which I know are experience based.
Will, what is the cover on the AD400 called? I've looked all over and can't find it.
It’s just the cover that comes with the ad400 pro. It pulls apart into two pieces. I just figured this out. 🤣

Really enjoying your videos, pal… any advice on dealing with colour casting?
for your future work, you should transcode your footage to HD, do all your VFX work, then replace all the footage back with the 4K. it will speed up your workflow FYI
How do you automatically name files in camera for flash and exterior?
Just a minor edit (I think). at 3:59 you show Alt-} (squiggly bracket) rather than Alt-] square bracket. At least on my windows keyboard, alt squiggle bracket selects both layers, not just the above layer. hope this is clear.
Hello mate, I have been having this issues do guys know how to fix it? Please install the Enfuse application via the "Configuration" tab A connection with the server could not be established Already donated and received the activation code.
Is a game changer. I use another brand and love it
I had to come down here to laugh at the part where you said Adobe Products gets on your nerves😂 It sure is frustrating fr
Will, thanks a lot for your videos learned so many things!
I use 800-1200 😂😂 unless I know it’s going on a billboard or extremely large print. The human eye especially the client eye cannot see the difference
If you are going to use f8 and base ISO, why not just use aperture priority to let the camera pick the best shutter speed for you? How often do you find that you land on 1/125 shutter speed? A quick run through my house and 1/125 was not properly exposed in any room. I guess maybe I do not understand what you are saying.
He's referring to the shutter speed for flash, he shoots flambient.
@@FallenDeiity - That makes sense. Thank you for clarifying.
I’ve learned quite a bit from your channel the past few months…thanks! I’m currently shooting with a Canon RP & a Samyang 14mm…I’ve been shooting 400-640 ISO @f8 mostly, but tested f5.6@400 just because…lol…seemingly a challenge to shoot ETTR…AD 200 shot over the camera/cage…getting better tho…and, FWIW, I mimicked your PS action reasonable well, so simple shots are processed/finished in minutes…keep up the work!
I shoot on a MFT in aperture priority at f3.5 with iso 320 using AEB and that has yielded good results for me. Every camera is a bit different, so it comes down to knowing your gear! Thanks for the content.
Totally loving your content and channel. Thanks. I wish you great success doing this.
I’m confused. I thought the whole point of HDR blending was that you merged different exposures and didn’t need to worry about the window view because your more darkly exposed bracket would provide the detail in the window view?
At the other end of the spectrum, how do you handle having too much work?
Wouldn’t the demonstration have been better if there was some sort of view out of the window?
Hey Will, thanks for the helpful video. I’m going to try that modifier. Amazon offers three sizes under that item number, do you remember which size you bought?
Love your videos! Do you have details on the flash preset? I think many would be happy to pay for your presets if you prefer that. You have done a lot of work and we appreciate it.
Thank you so much! I have watched many real estate photography videos and yours are the closest to the style to what I would like to produce. I have set your LR Enfuse Preset thanks to @dataventurer9998; however, have you detailed your flash preset? I think many would be happy to purchase your presets too!
Good job, but too much work
